Logischer Albtraum

---

She sat on a stone by a stream, let her bare feet hang in the water and enjoyed the first rays of sunshine this spring on her face. She listened to the chirping of birds returning from the south and thought of absolutely nothing. She just let her soul dangle. Suddenly she heard a very low voice of a man mumbling something, but instead of the voice getting closer or further away in any way, it just got louder. Little by little, other voices also joined her, this time also female.
"Does anyone know?" Asked the first voice.
"9" answered another.
Nine? She brooded. Where did these sounds come from? What were they talking about? And above all, why here of all places ??? This place on the brook was unknown, quiet and hardly visited at all.
It slowly grew darker and darker around her, until she was finally completely surrounded by a black and impenetrable veil.So she was on a stone in the middle of a black nothing. Or so it seemed to her. She was slowly but surely getting creepy. She looked around. The brook, the trees, the chirping of the birds; everything was gone. Only the voices around them grew louder and more penetrating. She panicked. What the fuck was going on here ??
She wanted to hold on to the stone on which she was sitting, but she suddenly had the feeling that he would fly with her, that she had not been on the ground for a long time. Nevertheless she tried to hold on to him, but she couldn't hold on, nothing to take hold of. Where was the stone on which she had just been sitting ??? She looked down, she didn't want to, but she had to. She looked at the stone, which now apparently wasn't any more. She had to swallow. She sat on the curved arch of a figure; namely the number NINE. She shook her head. She wasn't really sitting here on a number in the middle of the dark infinity, that couldn't be.What was going on here? What was wrong here?
From the black that surrounded them, suddenly more numbers in various colors appeared and circled them. They began to spin and tighten the circle around them. It was a very scary feeling. At the same time, the voices got louder and louder until they just couldn't take it anymore. Suddenly she just couldn't anymore and began to scream, louder and louder, more and more hysterical. She screamed everything out of herself, as loud as she could ...

... and suddenly it became quiet around them.

The numbers disappeared and it got light again. She stopped screaming and looked around in amazement. And suddenly she looked into the perplexed faces of her classmates. Math lesson!
