Chapter: The unknown quantity in black and why it wants to kill Miroku?

So here is the 3rd part.

While Inuyasha and the others were still wondering who this mysterious being was. Was this being looking for two splinters again? It went through a forest, a very dense forest. “It's disgusting everywhere, according to Wolf.” And wrinkled his nose. The being came on a river. "I'd better go against the current, who knows if someone followed me." But stopped. It rose cautiously into the cold water. The being went to the middle of the river. In the center of the river, the water stood, the being up to the basin. A slight shiver streamed through the being's body. The splash that came from a waterfall grew louder with every step. The creature gritted its teeth. The water was so cold that every step made it hurt.

"What is it? What is it, Kouga?" Asked Genta."I just smelled something.", Kouga replied.
"A demon?" Asked Genta.
"I don't know if it was a demon."

The being came closer and closer. Nobody had noticed that it had sneaked so close to the wolf den. The being stopped. Looked once more in all directions and jumped onto the bank. It landed on the meadow without making a sound. And it ran quickly to the wolf den. The wolf den was on a mountain ledge. The being jumped on a branch to get enough momentum from there. It landed right in front of the entrance. Kouga and his pack turned around, startled. And before you know it. The creature's claws hit Kouga's legs with one blow. The two splinters that were in the right and left leg were knocked out. The splinters were streaked with blood. Kouga went black and collapsed. There was restlessness in the whole building. Everyone rushed to Kouga. In the meantime, the being had moved out of the cave together with the splinters and was already looking for a whole other splinter.

"What is Kagome", asked Miroku, the suddenly stopped Kagome. “I felt the splinters again! They came from this direction.” Kagome pointed to the south-east. “That's the area where Kouga and his pack live.” Inuyasha said. "We should go and ask what happened. Maybe you know what the creature looks like." Kagome suggested. The others agreed with Kagome, except Inuyasha, who wasn't exactly thrilled. To go to that smelly wolf.

After a few days they finally reached the Kouga den. Kouga had already recovered from his injuries. And happily greeted Kagome, which Inuyasha didn't like at all. And already a violent argument burned between Inuyasha and Kouga. After a while the argument was resolved and Kouga told what had happened.“Do you know what it looked like?” Kagome wanted to know. "No, I'm sorry, it all happened too quickly," said Kouga. “Didn't you notice anything?” Kouga thought again. "Yes, wait, I smelled something just before it started." "And what did you smell?" Sango asked. "Well, I'm not sure, but at first I thought it was a demon, but then it had a completely different smell, a smell that I couldn't classify." "From which direction?" "I can show you. "And then everyone jumped up again and went after Kouga, who showed them the way where he had smelled the smell.

Now they were standing in the middle of the forest. "It's funny, there are footprints here and they're going in that direction.", Miroku said. They followed the trigger and came to a river. "Now it is clear to me why we didn't notice the creature before it went through the water."Noted Kouga. They went back to the burrow, where they told the others what they had discovered. The next day Inuyasha and the others set off before sunrise to look for the creature.

The sun was shining hot on earth again, which didn’t make it any easier for Inuyasha and the others to look for the creature. They stopped at noon. They were already a few kilometers from Kouga's den. Sango and the rest slept.

A rustle woke Miroku from his sleep. 'Well what was that? The best thing to do is see what that was. 'And Miroku got up to see what that was. He looked behind the bushes but saw nothing. It rustled again. Miroku followed the rustling on and on until he stopped in front of a nearby village. 'It was probably just a couple of children who played in the forest. 'Miroku was about to turn around again when someone put an arm around his neck and started to choke him.Miroku gasps for breath and tried to get rid of his arm. But he doesn't succeed. He went black before his eyes. His staff fell from his hand and fell to the ground.

“Hey, what are you doing?” An old man's voice rang out. The arm was pulled away and Miroku fell to the ground. That someone disappeared. The older man came closer to Miroku. “Are you all right?” He asked in a worried voice. Miroku opened his eyes and nodded. The old man helped Miroku get up and handed him his staff. “Yes, thank you, I'm already feeling better.” Kagome and the others ran up to Miroku with concerned looks. “We worried when you weren't there,” Sango said. Now the old man was talking. “Come with me to my house, since you have been supported.” He offered them, which they also gratefully accepted. So they followed him into the village. “Oh, yes, my name is Dekkiso, what are you?” While they were introducing themselves, they had reached the house. In the evening everyone finished their stories and slept soundly. However, someone was watching this happen all along. Exactly the one who tried to kill Miroku. He crept slowly into the house, straight to the sleeping Miroku, without making a sound. He had a dagger behind his back. His clothes were black, just like the last time. You couldn't tell whether it was a man or a woman. But it wanted to kill Miroku no matter what the means. It was getting closer. A thunderstorm came and the lightning flashed. The thunderstorm was over the village. It flashed as it tried to ram the dagger into Miroku's heart. But before that happened, Inuyasha had already thrown it against the nearest wall. The others woke up immediately and looked at the wall. It picked itself up again. "What do you want? And why do you want to kill Miroku?" Inuyasha asked. There was no answer. "Inuyasha it has seven splinters! He is who we are looking for. "Shouted Kagome. A kind of black hole was visible on the wall, where it disappeared." Now it is clear why it wanted to kill Miroku and how it can get anywhere so quickly and unnoticed. "Sango explained. Everyone lay down again and tried to fall asleep.

The storm had passed again and the sun was rising. The rooster woke the villagers and the animals. However, Inuyasha and his friends did not have a restful night and Inuyasha showed this by storming out the door with a loud throat. To put the rooster off. Just to Inuyasha's chagrin, there was a rock that stumbled and fell straight into the shit. Miroku and the others almost laughed themselves to death when they saw what had happened. Inuyasha got even angrier than before and yelled: "Shut up!" They came closer and apologized, but had to resist laughing.

Miroku went to the creek with Inuyasha, where Inuyasha washed.Sango and Kagome walked through the forest together. Meanwhile, Shippou and Kirara stayed in the village and played together - Sango and Kagome had already reached a flower meadow. They started to pick flowers. “Ah!” “What is Kagome?” Sango ran to Kagome. "Oh nothing, it was just a bug." Sango sighed. Both started picking flowers again.

Inuyasha had finally managed to get rid of the stench and went back to the village together. Once there, the two asked where Kagome and Sango were. Shippou just shrugged. "Sango said she and Kagome want to look around in the forest," Shippou said. “What did they go into the forest all alone and you didn't stop them?” Inuyasha Shippou snapped. "Why should I?" Asked Shippou, "There are two of you."

But Inuyasha stopped listening to Shippou and was already running after the smell of Kagome and Sango.'How stupid they are, even if Sango is a demon hunter. Against this being, the two will probably have no chance. You didn't seem to notice that Miroku almost scratched off if I hadn't been there. 'Inuyasha had now reached the two girls and was quite astonished. There Kagome and Sango sat and laughed. "Oh, hello Inuyasha, what are you doing here?" Asked Kagome, who had turned around. "What I'm doing here? You want to know what I'm doing here? I can tell you what I'm doing here, there is a creature walking around that almost killed Miroku and you are walking around here in the forest and picking flowers." Inuyasha yelled apart yourself. Kagome's good mood faded and they both stood up. Kagome handed Inuyasha her flowers and walked on without saying a word. Sango followed Kagome, leaving Inuyasha with the flowers in her arms.

The three arrived in the village, it was already noon.Shippou ran to Kagome and jumped into her arms. Sango gave her flowers to Miroku, who also didn't know what to do with them. They went to Dekkiso and said goodbye. They went back through the forest to exactly the same place where they had stopped yesterday. From there they went west.

It was evening when they found a nice little place, especially Kagome and Sango, because there was a hot spring nearby. Kagome and Sango went to the spring, while Inuyasha, Miroku, Shippou and Kirara stayed by the campfire. "It's great that this is a hot spring, isn't it Sango?"
