Diablo ii
The bus bumped along the street. The driver tried as best it could to avoid the potholes and we rocked from side to side. The coniferous forest that we crossed looked like a fairy tale.
I used to be scared of riding through the forest but now I would spend a whole week in there.
In a moment we would be driving out of the forest and reaching our destination. I got jittery and began to slide impatiently back and forth on my seat. Justin didn't mind in the least. He just gave me a friendly smile and then turned his gaze against the bus aisle. We rolled out of the forest and I had to screw my eyes for a brief moment because the sun was so blinding.
When I opened my eyes again, I was presented with a dreamlike sight. The mountains rose in front of us, with their overgrown areas. Kilometers of pastures and fields stretched to the left and right.Cows, sheep, goats and horses grazed peacefully and raised their heads in curiosity as the bus bumped down the driveway. Some of the cows were suckling their calves and licking their children's fluffy faces. The lambs and foals competed and the ewes bleated their children.
The white farmer's house, with the blue roof and blue shutters, made a perfect picture. The hall with the wooden bench and chairs was just screaming for an invitation to watch the sunrise in the morning. Thousands of brightly colored flowers bloomed in the front yard and juicy red tomatoes ripened in the vegetable patch. Behind it were the stables, small corrals and the grazing of the bulls and stallions. The mighty silos protrude from behind like two towers. Everything was exactly as I remembered it. Rio began to whine softly as we crossed the bridge under which a broad river made its way.The bus stopped and we got off. We were immediately greeted by three yapping Border Collies. Rio barked at them and they fell silent. after they had sniffed each other, they began to frolic across the yard. The four of them used to play together. Camilla and Nala, the two farm cats, also came to greet us. I picked up Nala and scratched her chin. The red and white spotted cat immediately started purring loudly. Camilla caressed Max's legs. My brother let himself be softened and took the silver-gray cat in his arms.
At that moment the front door swung open and Grandma came up to us with a friendly smile. The gray, shoulder-length hair circled her narrow face and really brought out her azure eyes. I put Nala down and hugged Grandma, then it was Max's turn.
The unmistakable smell of their famous pancakes poured out of the house. On her friendly rt she ushered us into the house. I walked into the kitchen and a huge shadow jumped up to me, pushed me down, and I slammed to the ground. A damp tongue slackened my face and made me laugh. A second tongue soon joined this.
"Camper !! Hunter !! Out!", Grandma snapped at the two of them and they let go of me. The two Irish wolfhounds trotted past me and started sniffing at the BladeBreakers. Kenny became terrified and began to shiver. Grandma reprimanded the two of them again sharply and they trotted outside.
"I made pancakes. You are definitely hungry, aren't you?" She asked and made an inviting hand gesture to the kitchen table. Tyson immediately answered yes and sat down.
"I'll just have a quick wash my face and I'll come too," I said and walked down the hall to the bathroom. The wooden floorboards creaked softly under my feet.I went into the bathroom and turned on the faucet. My eyes wandered out of the window where the stables were. The others wanted to see the whole farm afterwards. When I got back into the kitchen I picked up next to Kai bursts. Tyson's eyes lit up and he raved about Grandma's pancakes.
The white kitchen with the old-fashioned wooden furniture was damn cozy and the pale blue curtains created a pleasant atmosphere.
"What is, should we show you the farm?" I asked after there were no more pancakes. The Bladebreakers agreed. Justin and Tyson's grandpa went with us too. But Cliff and Gary were not in the mood for a little tour and offered to help around the house. Max wasn't particularly interested in it either and wanted to tell Grandma about the competitions. The two Irish wolfhounds were dozing on the veranda. The Border Collie and Rio were still raging across the yard."As you have already noticed, these are hunters and campers. They guard the farm. Missy, Jess and Meg help Grandpa to move the herds from one pasture to another or take care of the sheep when they graze in the mountain pastures." , I pointed my finger at the three dogs. After that we went to the stables. At the back of the house was another pond where a family of ducks did their laps. First I took them to the pigs and cowshed. But since the cows were outside, only the pigs greeted us. The little piglets came up to us curiously and grunted. I opened the gate and went inside. I picked up a little piglet and went back to the others. "Do you want to hold it too?" I asked, holding the little animal out to Tyson. The blue-haired blader accepted it and immediately liked the animal. After cuddling the animal extensively, he put it back again. We left the stable through the back entrance and came to the corrals where the stallions and bulls were.My eyes immediately fell on Diablo, who was neighing me in a friendly manner.
"Grandpa has three breeding stallions. One is the pinto stallion Firefly.", I like my hand at a black and white spotted beauty who eyed us suspiciously. "Then the quarter horse stallion Sugarbowl.", My hand went to the second corral with a bay with a white star. "And the Mustang Candlelight.", I pointed to the third corral, but it was empty.
"Is he invisible or is he having a candlelight dinner?" Joked Tyson.
"Nonsense, my grandfather is probably working with him or riding the pastures right now," I explained.
Loud roars and cracks of wood could be heard from a small willow behind the silos. Tyson's grandpa looked at me questioningly but I went on without explaining what that was. They followed me between the corrals to the silos. The terrifying noises came again."What was that?" Asked Ray, catching up with me while the others stayed in the background. We passed the silos and came to another corral. The huge red-brown bull rammed the fence and let go of another roar.
"WOW !!! That's the biggest live steak I've ever seen!" Said Tyson and his mouth watered. I snapped at him irritably: "Romeo is not there to eat! The sweetie is an award-winning breeding bull. He has already won over a hundred competitions and his calves are in great demand and bring in a lot of money."
I went to the corral and stood on the lower board. The whole fence shook when Romeo attacked him again. I climbed further and sat on the top picket. "Oh Romeo!" I whistled and the bull pricked up its ears. He looked at me with hazel eyes and trotted over to me. He sniffed my leg and drooled over my pants.I leaned forward carefully and scratched his forehead. Romeo flapped his tail excitedly and mooed softly. Then he stood on one side so that I could massage his back. That's what I've been waiting for. I slid off the fence onto his back. The bull turned his head and looked at me as if he wanted to say >> I meant that you were massaging me and not riding on me. <<
I just gave him a friendly smile and gave him a light pat on the shoulder. Then there was a thunderous hoofbeat. Romeo and I turned our heads to the right at the same time. Grandpa came riding on Cnadlelight and stopped in front of Romeo's Corral. In a second I was with my grandfather.
He looked like an actor from a western movie again. Grandpa wore a beige cowboy hat and a blue plaid shirt and chaps with leather fringes over his jeans. His short gray hair peeked out from under his hat. Grandpa's tanned face and steel gray eyes exuded a certain warmth."Hello Lu my little one!", He greeted me and tapped his hat briefly. He used to call me Lu, after which I introduced them to the BladeBreakers and Tyson's grandfather.
"These are strong, young guys.", Grandpa muttered into his non-existent beard. "I don't want to hold you back any longer. Show them everything. You can also take a little detour to the pasture." Said Grandpa and rode past us. After two meters he stopped Candlelight again and turned around in the saddle. "Oh and Lu.", He started. "There's a little orphan calf in the barn. Would you take care of it while you're here? The little one needs a name too," he said, winking at me.
Of course I would take care of the calf. So I took the boys to the barn next. There wasn't much there except a tractor, various other farm tools, the rabbit hutch, the hayloft above us and a converted box.I headed for it purposefully and carefully opened the pit door. A little black calf lay there nestled in the straw and looked at me with large, curious eyes. I knelt carefully and held out my hand so that the calf could sniff her and memorize my scent.
"She is beautiful.", Justin said and sat down next to me in the straw. "Have you come up with a name yet?" He asked. I looked the calf in the eye, then dipped my fingers in a bucket of water and dripped a few drops onto her forehead. "I hereby baptize you on the name Strawberry.", I said and the little one seemed to be quite satisfied with it. Justin and I got out of the box and led the others through the barn to the chicken run. The chickens cackled excitedly and the Han crowed belligerently. Then we went on to the pastures.Again the horses raised their heads in curiosity. An old mare with a sloping back left the group of horses and came up to me. Her white fur was dotted and you could see her old age. The mare stopped in front of me and put her head over my shoulder. She sighed with satisfaction. "Hello, my old girl," I whispered softly in her ear and carefully wrapped my arms around her neck.
"Your eyes." I heard Ray mumble behind me and let go of the mare.
"This is Zandra. She
