Chapter 3- A new friend

Max and Tyson ran outside full of exuberance. Rei, Kai and Kenny strolled comfortably behind. Kai had several Bey arenas. Three in the basement and one large and one smaller in the garden. All arenas were designed differently. The small one in the garden was equipped with stones and the large one had craters that you had to avoid. A paradise for every blader. The sun was shining and it was very hot today, so it looked like the pool would not go unused today.
Kenny sat down next to the arena a safe distance away and opened his laptop again. He carefully adjusted the camera correctly. The others lined up around the Bey Arena. Max and Tyson wanted to start.
Confident of victory, they stood face to face.
"3, 2, 1, LET IT RIP !!"
The two blades raced towards each other at an insane speed. They would no longer have been seen by a layman. Max and Tyson cheered loudly on their blades, no winner was yet to be recognized."Come on, Dragoon, heat him up! Would have laughed if we couldn't do it!" Tyson clenched his fists and shook them. Max just laughed.
"Do you really think you could beat us? I'm laughing, look how Draciel pushes your Dragoon into the corner." And indeed! Dragoon was on the verge of being kicked out. Max laughed.
Kenny, Rei and Kai just shook their heads.
"Well wait Max, I'll show you! Come on, Dragoon! Attack!" But what did Tyson have to see? Dragoon had no opportunity to attack. Because just as Dragoon was on the swing, Max and Draciel attacked with a total front attack. A second later, Tyson's Blade was only spinning outside the arena. Tyson was stunned. Angrily, he turned to Kenny. "Hey boss! What was going on? Can you tell me why I lost? You should give me tips in such difficult situations and not just sit by silently. Oh man!"
Kenny just shrugged his shoulders: "It was just a bad fight, I didn't want to interfere.What's the matter with you two? You were in such a good mood earlier and then you have such a fight, I would have expected more from you. "
Max and Tyson read their heads hanging, they didn't understand themselves. Usually they were at their best with that mood.
Kai indicated a grin: "Big mouth, nothing behind it. You focused zero. It was clear that this would result. How about you try again? But this time please seriously." Ray and Kenny nodded in agreement, but Max and Tyson fought off.
"No thanks." Tyson shook his head, "I'm already fed up with it. I think I'd rather go for a swim in the pool. How are things with you, Max?"
“Oh no, I've just discovered something much better.” He grinned all over his face and nodded slightly in the direction of the neighboring property. The others followed his gaze and what they saw was really not bad.
A slim girl with short blonde hair looked over at them. She was more than just beautiful.Kai caught his breath. At first he thought it was Shia, but he was wrong. This girl looked like her, but she laughed uninhibitedly and looked cheerfully over at them.
"Max, is that the girl you meant?" Kai looked at Max.
"Yes. Isn't she beautiful? She radiates so much joy." Max laughed. He nervously ran his hand through his hair. But in the next instant he winced, startled. “Ouch!” Tyson hit him on the back with full force to give him a nudge. Everyone stared at him in surprise. Tyson grinned.
"Come on, Max! Go there. Talk to her or invite her to a training match. Come on!" Max blushed. Tyson had finally said something wise. The encouraging looks of the others gave him courage. Only Kai looked a bit strange, but that was normal. He walked slowly towards the fence. Max turned more and more red.
“Uh, hello!” Max almost whispered, but it could be heard. The girl laughed at him. "Hello!"Her voice was crystal clear." Your name is Max, right? "
Max was a little upset. “How do you know that? Can you see?” His mouth stood open in astonishment. She was still laughing. "But no! I heard your friends calling you like that." Her hair moved gently in the wind.
“I, well, um. Right.” Max stuttered, embarrassed, something like that never happened to him. He pulled himself together and smiled smartly.
"You already know my name, may I ask what your name is?" She nodded.
"" Kari. Hikari, actually, but I like Kari better. Call me however you want. "Her dark blue eyes looked straight at Max. He smiled.
"Hikari! A beautiful name. It means light or glow, am I right? But I'll call you Kari like you do. That's a cute name, it invites you to protect you." Kari's eyes flashed.
"What are you doing over there anyway? I came out because I heard loud screams. Did you fight or what?""We are blading, at least we tried, but nobody really felt like it today. Except Kai, of course." Max shrugged his shoulders regretfully.
“Kai?” Of course, Kari didn't know what to do with the name. She didn't know the others. Max noticed it: "If you have nothing else in mind, I would be happy to introduce you all. Would you like to come over with me?"
"Yes of course." Kari was happy. Max, of course, a lot more.
“Come on, I'll help you over the fence.” He held out his hand to her. Kari took his hand. He carefully pulled her over the fence, but Kari was very skillful, she really didn't need his help. They sauntered slowly to the others. They all stood there and grinned, except for Kai. But he indicated something similar.
"Hello." Kari took the first step. Max helped her.
"I can introduce you guys, that's Hikari, but call her Kari, she'd rather have that."
She received a unanimous "Hello".Tyson, of course, immediately started talking to her.
"Nice to meet you. You already know Max, so I'll introduce you to the rest of the group. So I'm Tyson, the coolest of the group. No, just kidding. The little one with the glasses and the laptop is Kenny, us call him boss too. You'll soon see why. The Chinese with the headband, that's Rei. He's the sensible one with us. But just watch out, all the girls get weak with him. And the one over there with his arms crossed. with the long white scarf, that's our fun brake. He's just getting better. Our team captain. Kai. Just one wrong word and his looks will kill you.
"Shut up Tyson!" (Ultra cool spoken * lechz *)
Kari smiled happily at everyone, she liked this Tyson. The little one looked very smart and Rei was stunningly charming and sweet. But the sight of Kai caught her breath, this face! Kari's eyes opened wide. She knew those eyes. They radiated a depth and a coldness.Not so much, but she saw exactly that it must have been like that in the past. It ran cold down her spine. Kari was speechless.
Kai noticed that he was being stared at and moved slightly and closed his eyes in the process. Kari woke up from her trance and was a little confused. She shook herself up inwardly and looked back at Max. She liked the curly blonde head best. He was such a real sunny boy. No macho or anything, just nice, happy and honest. Besides, he didn't hit her right away. She had already had bad experiences there. A sweet smile was conjured up on her face. She tossed her short hair into shape with a flourish.
"Max? Who actually owns this great house? But not you? I just moved in today and couldn't spy." A roguish grin graced her face.
The others returned the grin. Max took the matter very soberly.
"That would be too nice if I lived here. I don't think I would do anything else besides Bladen, lying around the pool and looking at the neighboring property.But I'm not your neighbor, but Kai. He lives here. The house belongs to his grandfather. "With a shudder everyone thought of the old but extremely nasty Voltaire. After all, none of them had had good experiences with him. Especially not Kai.
"That's a shame. I would have loved to have you as a neighbor." You could hear the regret in Kari's voice. "Well then, to good neighbors Kai!" She held out her hand to him a little happier. Kai looked at her a little astonished, but then took her hand.
"I shouldn't care." Kari opened her mouth in amazement. But then the others started laughing out loud. Rei was the first to recover.
"You have to get used to it. Even if Kai looks like he doesn't care about anything, it isn't. He's happy to have you next door. Don't worry. At some point you will understand him. We also have everyone worked on it for a long time. He glanced quickly at Kai.Rei saw that he agreed. Now Kari had to laugh too. They stood like that for a long time.
