Preventing Armageddon

Superiority of Hope

No. 1 - The first meeting

Sodala ...

Now, after several unsuccessful attempts, I have finally arrived here and introduce you to my very first fanfic. I'm totally new here, even though I've read a lot of other fanfiction for a while. Please, please be kind to me and write a few clerks how you think about it and what you expect. :)

Your Hanako.

No. 1 - The first meeting

Expect nothing. Live frugally on surprise.

A light breeze gently brushed the wide plain. Below he found only rocks, sand and sparse vegetation - and a kneeling figure hacking at a laptop with a dogged expression on his face. Around the young woman lay various technical devices, a bag and six orange-yellow-glowing spheres, each with a different number of stars. A strand of black came off and fell on her face, which was decidedly lightened by a successful beep from the laptop. With a broad grin for her proportions, she put all the technology in capsules and then in her bag.The sky over the Capsule Corporation was darkening noticeably. Bulma didn't mind. She was so absorbed in one of her scientific work that she had long since forgotten the time.

It was noon. Not the first she spent doing this experiment, as the many coffee cups that piled on the table revealed. A cigarette hung in the corner of her mouth. An old, stupid habit that kept catching up with you while designing a new machine.

She automatically reached for a light switch and turned it on. With a slight smile, she was happy about a flash of inspiration that had come to her at the same time and embodied the solution to all of her problems.

"Hello Bulma." With a deafening scream, she was startled from her thoughts and stumbled disoriented to the next wall. Then her knees gave way under her.

Son Goku stood in the middle of the laboratory with a big grin. After a brief moment, she gathered herself together again, got up and demonstratively pushed a strap of her top back onto her shoulder. Then she took a deep breath. "Damn it, Son Goku! Knock on it! This is still my laboratory !!!" she yelled in his direction. Her eyes had narrowed with anger and a flush of anger rose in her face.

Son Goku's grin became a lot more helpless. "Sorry, I came straight to you."

"Huh !?"

"He teleported himself here," said Vegeta, uninterested. He had just appeared in the doorway and was leaning against the doorframe with his hands buried deep in his trouser pockets. "Kakarot! It was clear that you were cutting in here because Shenlong showed up. But Bulma can't tell you who called him either. She's just useless for anything."

"Huh !? Shenlong !?" Bulma babbled confused. Her brain cells were all focused on the experiment and weren't ready to change the subject anytime soon. Scolding was something else - she could always do that.

Vegeta gave her a look that clearly doubted her competence. "Woman! Take a look at the Dragonball radar!"She still couldn't follow him, but amazingly she did what he asked and rummaged in a drawer for the radar. The result was a surprise only for one person in the room.

"The ... the ... all seven dragon balls are in one place! Someone wants to call Shenlong!" Vegeta rolled his eyes in irritation and disappeared. “What's wrong with him?” Bulma was still not quite the same as she was.

"Shenlong has already been called," explained Son Goku seriously and pointed to the window behind which black mountains of clouds were piled up. "But we can't feel an aura around him."

"Aha," said Bulma and Son Goku disappeared before her eyes. Left behind, she tried to sort her thoughts, but then thought better of it and was horrified to discover that she had missed the solution to the experiment. "Son Goku!" she screeched furiously into the electric humming nothing. But only a few diodes blinked back listlessly.

It had all worked fine, and Shenlong was hovering over her.And yet there was a very uncomfortable feeling in her stomach area that worried her very much - more than she wanted to admit to herself.

Shenlong looked down at her blankly after saying her wish. After a few very grueling moments of crushing silence, he finally replied: "I cannot grant your wish, but someone else will come true."

"What do you mean !? I know that you can fulfill all wishes!"

"Just not yours," said the dragon, stared at her for another full second, blinked his glowing eyes and disappeared. The dragon balls instantly turned into stones and flew away in all directions.

About a hundred meters away, on the other end of the icy plateau, a tall man with a strong and incredibly evil aura had appeared ...

"Shit," she commented on her discovery. She hated it when unpleasant premonitions were justified. The person opposite just grinned broadly and went straight into an attack position.
