Chapter 9 An honest feeling

But Kagome didn't answer any more questions and as quickly as Inuyasha had just gotten between space and time, he was gone again just as quickly. He was back in his body as a fully fledged demon just awakened. Takuan rushed towards him. Kagome was still hanging unconscious on the tree, Sango and Miroku got a glimpse of what was happening, but couldn't do anything about it and Shippo, he couldn't have done anything even if he hadn't been lying on the tree.

A bright flash threw Takuan off course. A black figure, the last black figure. “INUYASHA, REMEMBER OUR CONVERSATION!” She shouted these words urgently and began to fight the demon Takuan. The youkai Inuyasha was rooted to the spot, something was going on inside him. An internal struggle took place.

On the one hand there was Inuyasha, the Hanyou who could tell good from bad.He knew what was at stake. Not just his life, but, if there was nothing more he could do against his instinct, Kagomes too. It looked as if her will to live was slowly leaving her. And there were his other friends. Sango and Miroku probably knew how to save themselves, but Shippo, he was still out of the way, Inuyasha had just heard his broken bones. Shippo couldn't have gotten to safety, was there anything else he could do?
On the other hand, there was his instinct, his demonic legacy that had broken out and apparently prevailed. It wanted blood, no matter from whom, the main thing was that it got what it wanted.
Inuyasha thought about it. * What did this figure just say? I should remember a conversation, what conversation? * It slowly dawned on him. He began to see the pictures he had just seen. Nobody moved, he saw everyone, even his transformed self, and then there was this figure.* She was Kagome, she wanted to save our lives! ... ... an honest feeling, to focus on Kagome? What did she mean? *
His counterpart, the demon in him, tore him out of his thoughts. "What are you still standing around here? You know as well as I do, there is no point in defending yourself against me. I am the real thing, what you want, what you always wanted to be and what you actually are!"
"NO !!!!! ... ... a feeling, a feeling that lives deep inside me and which is pure."

The demon, who looked like Inuyasha transformed, closed his eyes. There it was, the feeling. In one sentence, he opened his eyes and jumped towards the figure fighting Takuan. His transformation had receded. He no longer had purple streaks on his face. His red / green eyes looked normal again, with the golden glowing color and his hands, on which a short while before long claws had been trembling and waiting to finally feel blood, had their normal shape again.“Kagome, let's get started!” She nodded. Both attacked Takuan with all their might. The fight dragged on. Again and again they attacked Takuan and Takuan struck back. "We have to take care of his staff, it's the most dangerous! We ..." Kagome, the black figure, had to muster all his strength for the fight. So she decided to explain her plan to Inuyasha through her emotional connection. "We have to separate him from his staff!" Inuyasha heard her voice in his head. "You're right!" he called to her because he was not yet able to use this connection.
Kagome wanted to set about getting the staff and the hanyou, Takuan. It wasn't easy for them. The demon didn't even seem out of breath as Kagome and Inuyasha lost more and more strength.

"AAAHHHH ......" The Kagome, who was pinned to the tree, screamed and grimaced in pain. At the same moment the figure was thrown back from the future.Inuyasha looked around. The black-clad woman was lying on the floor and had a large gaping wound on her leg, and so was Kagome, which was no longer so close to the fighting on the tree. Takuan met her with his staff. The hanyou started and in one jump he was at the black figure. "How are we supposed to finish him off? He's too strong!" he exclaimed as he carefully supported her. "Let's make one last try. We have to put all our strengths together," said Kagome grimly from the future. Inuyasha understood. He pulled Tessaiga out of its scabbard and looked for the wind scar. The woman at his side stood up and concentrated, her hand starting to shine again, as it did some time ago when they had fought the snake demon. Inuyasha swung Tessaiga and the black figure sent all its forces with that blow.

A flash of lightning raced towards the demon and devoured him. You could hear his scream, which died down miserably as the blinding light subsided.They could still see Takuan dissolving in a kind of column of water, then he was gone. It was done. Inuyasha immediately ran to HIS Kagome.

Carefully he pulled the arrow from her shoulder and laid her on the grass. He quickly got her rucksack, which she had put aside before her fight, and took care of her as best he could. "Kagome, please hold on! I need you more than anyone else! I love you!"

As he had already suspected, Sango and Miroku had moved away from the battlefield with Kirara's help and were busy tending to Shippo. He was getting better. He was a fox demon, a kitsune, even if he was still half a child. They weren't fatal breaks. The monk and the demon hunter would get well again.

The black figure, of which nobody but Inuyasha knew who it was, had already disappeared again. Nobody worried about her at the moment. Kagome was too badly injured and Inuyasha only had his thoughts on her.A few days passed. They have not yet been able to leave the battlefield. Kagome was rarely awake and there was a risk that if she moved too often, her wounds would re-open.
So the time passed. They have been here for a whole week. Sango had already fully recovered, Miroku was brought by Kirara to his father's grave so that he could have his hand treated there. It was just getting dark when Inuyasha heard a rustling in the bushes. He smiled, he had also smelled a very familiar scent and he followed it into the forest.

"She will do it!" the Hanyou was addressed. "Of course she'll make it! She's strong and you wouldn't be here otherwise, Kagome!" The addressed came from behind a tree. "I did what I wanted, but I can't tell you more!" she said and kissed him on the cheek. "Just tell me one thing, please, how did you feel changed back?" Inuyasha looked a little embarrassed to the side at the floor.It was uncomfortable for him. A few minutes passed in silence.

"Hate ...", he looked into her face again, "... it was pure hate! To Takuan ... to me because I was not able to do anything alone without this ... ... I wanted to defeat him!" Kagome smiled at him. "As long as you do not stand by your feelings, you will always be divided and the hatred will consume you! You will manage it, just stand by yourself, to what you are!" The Kagome from the future pulled her jewel four souls emerged. "This is the last time we will meet like this, when I return, the power of my Shikon no Tama is used up and he will disappear. But I want to leave you one last present." She pressed something into his hand , focused on her jewel and disappeared.
