Anger, sadness and the fear of losing someone you love

Your life is mine and you know it! "With that, Kikyo turned around and went into the forest. She turned around again and looked deep into Inuyasha's eyes" Don't forget, Naraku will be finished soon and then we'll be together! "

Kagome and Sango had meanwhile arrived at the camp where Shippo and Miroku, who had also been woken up by the little fox demon, were already waiting and wanted to know what had happened. "Kagome, Sango!" Miroku started but was silenced by an evil look from Sango. She shook her head and sat down on the floor with Kagome, a little to one side. Kagome just couldn't believe it. How could Inuyasha do such a thing when he knew she was around. It had to be clear to him that he was hurting her with it. Without her noticing it, tears ran down her face. Sango took her in his arms to comfort her even though she knew full well that she couldn't relieve her pain.Miroku and Shippo stared at the two in disbelief. What had just happened there? When they were just wondering what Inuyasha had done again, he just came back. He looked around searching until his gaze fell on Sango and Kagome. He didn't know what to do. He didn't even know what Kikyo had done to him. The only thing he knew was that he almost kissed Kikyo in front of Kagome's eyes. It was also clear to him that he couldn't easily make up for it.

In the meantime Miroku had got up and motioned Inuyasha to follow him. With one last look in the direction of the two girls, he turned around and ran after the monk, sad and confused.

After about 100 meters they stopped. "What happened then?" asked Miroku, who already knew what the answer would look like. "I'm not sure." answered Inuyasha. "I suddenly woke up and noticed Kikyo's soul collectors who obviously wanted me to follow them. I did too.When I met Kikyo in a clearing, she said that Naraku would be finished soon and that we could be together. And then ... "he paused because he wasn't quite sure what happened next." She hugged me and I suddenly felt as if everything around us had disappeared. There was nothing but Kikyo and me. Well, and then suddenly I heard Kagome's voice shouting 'make way'. "-" And you didn't notice that Kagome was there? I mean you didn't even smell her? "-" No, it was like Kikyo and I were all alone in the world. "Miroku looked at Inuyasha thoughtfully." To me it sounds like Kikyo has some kind of power over you that makes you forget anything but her. Better watch out for her! She is no longer the woman you once loved. "-" I know but I promised her to protect her and stay with her, even if that means that I have to go to hell with her."-" It's your decision, "replied Miroku tersely and made his way back towards the camp to check on Sango and Kagome. Inuyasha stood still for a while and stared lost in thought into the forest.

Kagome had calmed down (as far as possible) and started packing her things. She definitely wanted to go home to clear her head again. When Miroku came back and saw Kagome packing, he glanced at Sango, who only nodded. He indicated to Sango that she should come to him, which she did. When she was with him he told her the story Inuyasha had told him. Sango, too, was of the opinion that all of this was not right and considered whether she should tell Kagome about it. Maybe then she would change her mind and stay here. Just as she was about to approach Kagome, Inuyasha came back to the camp.

"Kagome" he only said when he saw that she was ready to go back to her time.Kagome looked straight into his eyes at us. She thought her heart would burst, but she couldn’t and didn’t want to stay here any longer. "Goodbye Inuyasha!" she just said and then turned to her other friends. She said goodbye to Shippo, who was completely exhausted because Kagome wanted to leave her, and Miroku. Then she asked Sango to accompany her a little longer because the fountain was quite far away and she didn't want to go all the way alone. Without looking at Inuyasha again, the two of them set off.

"Stop her," Shippo grumbled to Inuyasha, who just stood there and stared at the place where Kagome had last stood. "Shippo is right. Think carefully about whether you want to let her go. This time she really may not come back!" Miroku said and looked at Inuyasha. "I know that too," he growled, "but what right do I have to ask you to stay here?" Miroku walked up to Inuyasha and put a hand on his shoulder.“It's your decision, but make it quickly!” With these words he left Inuyasha and sat down by the fire with Shippo.

* Shit * thought Inuyasha. His heart was racing. What would he do if he lost Kagome forever. This thought was unbearable for him. * Damn it, Kagome * he thought and ran. * I have to at least explain it to her! * After a short time he caught up with the two women and stood in front of them. "What more do you want?" Kagome snapped at him.

"Please, Kagome! I don't want you to go! Please ..." was all Inuyasha could say when he saw her angry but above all infinitely sad eyes.
