As always, InuYasha was awake first. He stretched himself with relish, he looked around, everyone was still asleep, so he decided to go for a walk.

He opened the door quietly, everyone was still asleep. He crept up to Kagome and sat down next to her. He gently stroked her cheek.She slowly woke up from the gentle touch. She had to blink a few times, but then she looked into InuYasha's beautiful amber eyes. A small smile crossed her face. She got up carefully and crawled out of her sleeping bag. She wanted to hug him now, but she didn't dare, what will he think, maybe he'll laugh at me or push me away from him. But if I really think about it, last night he hugged me himself` She decided to do it too. Again she looked deep into his eyes and then hugged him. Somewhat stunned but somehow still happy he returned her hug, `It smells so good and it feels so nice. I'll tell her after the fight. Slowly the others also woke up and to avoid any questions (I couldn't think of another word) the two quickly broke up. They had a quick breakfast and made their way to the "Forest of Death". There were only 3 days left before the said fight.The closer they got to this forest, the more eerie it got to Kagome, `` Something is there, I can feel it, but it's not a splinter of jewels, what could it be? `Lost in thought, she did not notice that Miroku had stopped and literally ran over him. He turned around, rather startled, but when he saw Kagome, he was pretty reassured again. He also felt that something was going to happen, so he had stopped, at first he had thought it might be a thief or a youkai. Now they had finally reached the forest, they decided to set up camp nearby. Somewhat uncomfortably, they all went to sleep. Everyone was afraid that something would happen. InuYasha had noticed Kagome's fear and stayed close to her that night.
