Chapter: Part II
So Tyson followed her through the stable alleys. At Cecelie's, Fee made a short stop and ruffled the mare's forehead. Tyson just stood there and watched her. They did not exchange a word as they walked on. Finally they came to another door. Fee pushed it open and immediately seven horse heads peeked over the box doors. This time the boxes were not separated by simple bars, but by thick concrete walls. In front of one of the boxes there was an additional grille above the door, so the horse couldn't stick its head out like the others.
"These are our stallions.", Fee explained and there was a slight hint of pride in her voice. "On the left are the trotters: Presta Yankee, Iron Man, Speedy Shane and Dustin Columbus (1)
And on the other side the gallops: Step to Heaven, Egyptian Dream, Keyneas and Gigolo. "
"Why is there still a grille on that one?" Tyson asked.
"Presta can be a real ass when he's in the box and she likes to take a bite too.But as soon as he's outside in the paddock, he's as good as a lamb (2) "
Tyson met Presta Yankee's eyes in awe. The brown stallion raised his head, snorted through his nostrils and a deep rumble came from his throat.
"I think he doesn't like me," Tyson concluded and started a careful approach to Iron Man. The brown-black stallion was in a much friendlier mood than his box neighbor.
"At first he doesn't like anyone. But after you've been here for a few days, he'll get used to you.", Fee encouraged him.
Three fine pike heads came out of the last boxes. One was black and white, one completely white with pink nostrils and the other dark brown with a small flake.
"These are Uncle Dave's Arab stallions that he also breeds with. The dark bay is Been Bisaac Sheetan Jameel."
"Is there an abbreviation for that?" Tyson asked, still scratching Iron Man.
"Just tell him Sheetan."offered Fee." And this is Maharajah. ", Fee explained and rubbed the black and white stallion over the forehead." The white horse here is Shiiiel Sahib. My friend Fiona's foster horse. ", Fee continued and asked Tyson to follow her outside again.
So the two went out of the stable. Fee grabbed five lead ropes and handed two of them to Tyson. Outside, Fee and Tyson fetched the pregnant mares from the paddock and cleaned them up again. While Tyson went about his work quietly, Aiofee talked quietly to the animals. For a quarter of an hour the blue-haired man was completely engulfed in the girl's voice. The gentle way her lips formed the words somehow fascinated him. He stopped moving and looked into the box opposite. There she stood. Her head pressed against the neck of a chestnut mare and quietly whispered words. The mare had both ears to one side, listening. Tyson was torn from his thoughts and dreams when velvet nostrils nudged impatiently against his shoulders. With a low sigh, he didn't really know why he sighed at all, he went back to his work.
"Are you already knocked out?" Asked Fee when they were sitting on the veranda again and drinking cold lemonade.
He would have loved to scream, but something in him struggled against saying the little word and he just shook his head.
“Well, do you fancy a little walk to the foal and yearling pastures then?” Aiofee's eyes lit up at this question and Tyson replied with: “Of course I feel like it.”
“That's nice,” said Fee, “wait a minute, I just want to get someone quickly.” She got up from the veranda steps and went into the house. Meanwhile, Tyson stared at the sky and let his thoughts flow.
He had never met a girl like Aiofee before. He found it almost unbelievable how much love and tenderness she treated the precious animals here. It almost seemed to him as if she was talking to the horses and the horses would understand and answer everything. When he heard the front door behind him, he chased away the thoughts with a curt movement of his head and turned around with a smile on his face. But instead of seeing Fee's pretty face, something licked his nose and big brown eyes looked at him kindly.
"May I introduce that is Cheyenne.", Fee said and stroked the reddish fur of the Irish Setter bitch. “Come with me.” Fee started moving and the bitch trudged obediently next to her. Tyson got up too and followed them. Their way led them behind the house, along a small country road between empty pastures. Tyson and Fee walked at a leisurely stroll while Cheyenne ran a few yards in front of them, her nose flicking curiously across the floor. Tyson talked a lot about his Beyblade fights and the many friends he had made in all of the matches. His companion only listened with half an ear. She was too absorbed in the breathtaking landscape, even though it wasn't all that breathtaking.Left and right stretched miles of pastures, with lush, green grass and on the horizon you could see the mountains, in a shallow shade of blue they rose up like ghosts. After a whopping twenty minutes had passed, they saw the first horses. Little foals played by their mothers' side and romped around. The mares grazed slowly in the afternoon sun, but always had ears and eyes with their beloved children.
Tyson and Fee entered the paddock and immediately some animals raised their heads in curiosity. Fee then began to name all foals and mares and Tyson tried to memorize everything. A dark brown mare with a lot of white burin hair and a sway back walked up to Fee and sniffed at her trouser pockets.
"I'm sorry, Grandma. I have nothing for you now.", Fee apologized and tickled the mare's nostrils. Then she and Tyson turned to go again and left the paddock."That was Ortina Lobell (3). She is the lead mare and already quite old. But, of everything, she is only called grandma," the girl explained. Tyson nodded in understanding.
After another five minutes the paddock of the yearlings came. They grazed close together in small groups and, like the mares, raised their heads in curiosity. First, a stallion stood out from the others. Tyson's mouth opened a bit as the beauty approached her. His fur shone like Honog in the sun and his nostrils were adorned with such a peek that it looked as if someone had constructed them. His mane, which was a lot lighter than his top hair, was caught in the wind and gave the stallion a fairytale look. in his fine head, which inclined slightly towards the pike head, like an Arab, sat two large, dark eyes like diamonds.
"Who is that?" Tyson whispered in awe, not daring to look away.
"His name is Shogun." Mumbled Fee and went to the yearling in the paddock.Tyson followed her.
The yearling eyed the stranger suspiciously before allowing Tyson to touch him. They stayed in the paddock until it began to get dark. When the sky had turned orange and gold, Tyson's grandfather drove along the narrow sandy path, stopped in front of the paddock and got out. His grandson and fairy said goodbye to the Shogun and approached Mr. Granger.
"And how is the greenhorn doing?" Asked the older man immediately.
"Well, not bad for his first day.", Fee whispered a bit pompously, but winked at Tyson. He quickly looked over to the paddock again so that his grandfather and Fee wouldn't notice how he was blushing.
"Can he come back tomorrow?" Asked Mr. Granger.
"Sure. If he wants to?" She asked carefully.
Tyson said very coolly that he had nothing better to do anyway and would stop by tomorrow.
"And when?" Asked the blue-haired man before getting into the car.
Fee thought for a moment."Against six should be enough."
Tyson groaned inwardly. Six o'clock was just too early for him. But he said nothing more just that he would be on time and got into the car. Mr. Granger turned the car around and they drove off. Tyson watched Fee through the rearview mirror as she went to Shogun again. When he could no longer see her, he sank into the seat and enjoyed the beautiful landscape of kilometer-long pastures.
