In the evening, in a forest near a mine, our adventure begins.
A little wolf was born.
He was so small and fragile as he lay there next to his siblings. All of them were much bigger, but none of them cared.
They slept peacefully. It was raining outside and a thunderstorm seemed to be approaching.
The wolf mother woke up and paced the cave. She seemed very nervous.
But why?
She continued to pace, then sat down.
The wolf mother sat at the cave entrance and looked out into the thunderstorm that had meanwhile occurred.
She started howling, hoping to get an answer, but she was terrified that no one would hear her.
She had been trying to find other wolves for a few days. But it was still unsuccessful.
The father of her boys was caught by a hunter, so badly that he could not make it.Unfortunately, the mother had to leave him behind as she needed a safe place to raise her young.
But she also knew that she would have very big problems surviving without a pack, because in the long run she would not be able to withstand the strain.
So in the end she went back to her little ones and lay down very close to them so that they were nice and warm.
It thundered and flashed.
The rain pelted down and formed many puddles, which looked like small lakes, but they were almost black with dirt due to the soggy ground.
The wolf mother stayed awake for a while and looked outside.
She saw how the trees bent in the wind and looked like dark, terrible figures that could attack at any moment.
Then she was overcome by sleep.
She was always very concerned about the puppies and how she was going to do everything.
The next morning the boys woke up.
Her mother already seemed to be on the hunt."Grrr", said the puppies and first stretched their limbs.
They started to rage but did not leave the safe cave.
The old she-wolf always said it was way too dangerous out there alone.
Today, after about 8 weeks, it was a sunny day.
Everything seemed as if the world had stopped.
"Kiero, Wolfsblut, Sakura, Terra!" Shouted the mother, who was back after about 5 hours of hunting.
She snatched a pig, or rather stole it, because she couldn't kill strong and large animals on her own.
But at least what should she do, it was her first hunting success after 3 days.
She couldn't starve her young ones.
"Juhuuuu! Mum is back!" Exclaimed Wolfsblut, who was now almost the size of the others.
"Hey Wolfi! Take it easy," said his mother when the little one went about the prey.
But rather playing.
The others came too and ate their fill.
"Grrr! Woof!" Said the puppies, after the good meal the small family lay down in the shade of a large tree.It was probably an oak. A pretty old one.
But suddenly a loud dull noise broke the peaceful silence.
The old she-wolf perked up and moved her ears and head in every imaginable direction to assign it.
Then it rang again and again.
"Children! Wake up!"
"What's going on now?" Asked Sakura. Terra, the only she-wolf among the many boys, with the exception of her mother, was also very surprised.
"I don't know what it is, but I don't think it's a good thing. So please go to the cave and wait there until I get back."
"Okay, but what should we wait here?" Asked Wolfsblut.
"Because I'm afraid for you. I don't want anything to happen to you. You are still too small. When you grow up afterwards, I can do whatever you want and think is right. So please stay here! Make a promise." me that? "
"Yup! It's okay Mum. Ik am here and can take care of the others.", The little wolf explained and tried to rear up to look bigger and more dangerous.He loved to play himself, especially in front of his mother, who just turned around and ran into the woods.
She ran towards the mine.
