Fanfic: Saiyajin-Story

Chapter: Old acquaintances

Jihaaaa, I got a pick-up * burst into tears of joy * Thanks, Lilli: D Um ... which year? No idea XD Don't know me with their time calculation ... hehe.
Where she comes from and who she is will become clear in the course of the story, and what she has to do with Vegeta, probably also: D Why did she survive the explosion? Well, she is a Saiyan (as you have already combined razor-sharp: D) and accordingly tough ... So here it goes:

The king finally decided that she should work as a slave in the palace. Lara was surprised that she got her own little room for it. The work that was assigned to her could also be done. She was treated much better than she expected, much like a normal employee, in fact. Except that she didn't get any wages, but instead got something to eat and fresh clothes every day. But where did the idea come from that slaves were usually worse off than here? How did she know that? As much as she pondered it, she couldn't find a green branch. The food also made her thoughtful. There were mostly fruits that she hadn't known before, but that were very nutritious. She remembered that where she came from there had been very balanced and varied foods. Strangely enough, she didn't remember her home, friends or family, only the food she had faint memories. At least she had an idea of what it must have been like. So Lara lived in the palace for a few weeks. She wasn't treated badly, but she didn't like it. The Lubori were reluctant. They weren't rude or mean, but they weren't approachable either. They never talked to her much, Lara had the impression that they only spoke as little as possible, and nobody else paid much attention to her. As long as she did her job to the king's satisfaction, she was in no trouble. But she also had no company and was terribly bored. What a bleak life one had on this planet! She couldn't look for closeness to the Lubori, they treated her cautiously as always, no matter what she did. And so it wasn't too bad for Lara when she was separated from its residents again exactly three weeks after her arrival on Lubor.

It happened on the morning of the 21st day after their arrival. She was in the courtyard, shaking out the beds of the Lubori living in the palace, when she could see three points in the sky that were rapidly approaching. With a tremendous bang, they struck somewhere very close to the palace and the ground trembled under the force of the impact. Lara winced, she would have loved to run off and see what had happened there, but she had to finish her work first. In addition, she was not allowed to leave the palace without permission and company. So far she hadn't done that a single time, because Lubor wasn't a very beautiful planet. There were hardly any mountains, the landscape was only criss-crossed by a few craters and scattered boulders lay around in the desolate landscape. Every now and then a settlement of houses would appear, but there wasn't much else to see.

Sighing, she continued to devote herself to the bedding that had to be shaken out. Suddenly the doors that led into the courtyard opened, Lubori came running out, shouting and running around haphazardly. Suddenly Lara saw a bright beam of bundled energy that struck the palace wall and tore a large hole into it. You have been attacked, no doubt. Without thinking, she dropped the bedclothes she was carrying and ran. She didn't know where, she just ran. The gate through which one came out of the palace grounds had meanwhile also been blown up and Lara jumped over the rubble and ran on. She heard more explosions behind her and felt strong waves of pressure and energy. She had no idea where to go, especially since she was completely disoriented because she had never been outside the palace. She made her way through the Lubori masses that were running through the streets of the village. Suddenly she saw one of these energy beams again and it hit the house next to her. Individual parts of the wall were torn out by the force of the impact and broke down. Lara was buried under a mountain of rubble and got some scratches and scrapes. However, she was not injured very badly, so she managed to dig herself out of the pile of rubble and keep running.

Now she came to open land and left the village behind. As she rushed on, she glanced over her shoulder and saw the village blazing in a cloud of blown dust. She heard screams, crying, and more buildings collapsing. The second of carelessness in which she looked back was her undoing and she stumbled over a large stone that was lying on the ground. Lara stumbled, lost her balance and fell down.Since she had just reached the edge of a crater, her own swing pulled her forward so far that she fell headlong into it. It slid down the steep crater wall over scree fields and overturned several times until it reached the bottom of the crater. It rolled right in front of the feet of a tall, stocky bald man. She was dizzy and her head ached like hell. She blinked carefully up at the man and saw that he had created a ball of energy, like the one she had seen earlier, in his hand and was now aiming it at her. "Not nappa, you idiot!" she suddenly heard a commanding voice. She knew that voice ...

The bright ball of energy in the man's hand disappeared. Out of the corner of her eye she saw blurredly as another figure emerged from the thrown clouds of dust, came up to her and crouched down next to her. With an effort she turned her head and looked at him. She knew him, yes, she recognized him and suddenly her memories came back too."Ve ... Vegeta ..." she managed, then passed out.
