10. Dark prophecies

Earth, 03/28/932
"Come on, Tenshinhan. We've really trained enough for today. We should finally take off!" cheeped Chao Zu. "Bulma invited us for 6 p.m. and now it will be a quarter past!" he added reproachfully. Tenshinhan nodded. "It's good. You're right. Let's fly before we miss half the barbecue," he grinned.
It was a mild summer evening. Bulma had all friends in the Capsule Corp. invited to a big barbecue, as they hadn't seen each other for years.

It didn't take Tenshinhan and Chao Zu long to get to the C.C. to fly. Together they entered the huge area. In the front yard of the main house, a small child was playing with one of the numerous cats that lived with Bulma and her parents. The two friends stared at the little boy in amazement for a moment. At that moment, Yamcha came out of the house to greet the friends. "Tenshinhan, Chao Zu! Nice to see you, how are you?" asked he. "Hello Yamcha, haven't seen you in a long time." replied Chao Zu. "Hi! We're fine. And you? I didn't even know that you became a father." said Tenshinhan with a sideways glance at the playing toddler. A slight blush settled across Yamcha’s cheeks. "This is not our child." he said hastily. "The little one is Teresa's son. They've been living with us for three and a half years." he added explanatory. "And who is Teresa?" Tenshinhan asked confused. "I guess that's me." noted a bright voice behind him. The three boys turned around and this time it was Tenshinhan who blushed at the pretty young woman who was now entering the front yard. "But call me Terry." added her. "Ooh, h-hello! I'm Tenshinhan." he introduced himself.Terry smiled and greeted the two friends. Then she asked the guests to go out onto the veranda, where a delicious buffet was already waiting. Mrs. Briefs must have spent days in the kitchen conjuring up all these goodies, and it tasted accordingly delicious.

Soon all friends had gathered on the veranda, Son Goku and Chichi had also come and, to everyone's great surprise, had also brought their almost four-year-old son Son Gohan with them. Yamcha, Kuririn, Lunch and Muten Roshi had also come. It wasn't long before the barbecue was in full swing. There was a lot of talk and laughter and the old stories were told.

The general topic of conversation was revolving around the legendary victory over the Red Ribbon Army when another guest unexpectedly arrived: Uranai Baba, the sister of the Lord of the Turtles, burst into the exuberant party in full excitement.

"So what's going on?" Muten Roshi asked, perplexed, when his sister sank down on the bench next to him, completely out of breath."... my crystal ball!" began the witch, still rather short of breath. “She revealed the future to me today.” Terry, who had just emerged from the kitchen, stepped closer, curious. "Well, who is that?" she wanted to know, and eyed Uranai Baba suspiciously. She turned around and gave the young woman appraising looks.

"My name is Uranai Baba, I am a fortune teller and the sister of that one," said the person addressed with a nod in the direction of the Lord of the Turtles, "but the question is more likely: Who are you? I still have you here never seen?" she added suspiciously. “I'm Teresa.” Gave this back lightly. “She's a friend of ours and has lived in the Capsule Corporation with Bulma and her parents for about three years.” Son Goku put in and explained her story briefly. "If you are a fortune teller, can you really see the future?" Terry asked curiously and brought Uranai Baba, who had been completely distracted by Teresa's appearance, back to her real concern."Uh yes, of course! And that's why I'm here. I looked into the future today and terrible things will happen!" complained the witch. "What?" it came impatiently from those present, who slowly but surely got on the nerves of Uranai Baba's little tension pauses. "Earth is in great danger. I foresaw the arrival of two mighty warriors. They come from space and will be incredibly strong!" she said with a somber expression.

"Fighters from outer space who are incredibly strong? Wow, cool, then there is sure to be a great fight!" Son Goku was happy and his eyes lit up. "Are you crazy?" Chichi and Bulma barked at the same time. "It's typical again. We are in mortal danger and you are only thinking of fighting," his wife ranted on. "Nope, why? Isn't it a cool challenge, or do you think we can't do it?" Terry laughed, who fully shared Son Goku's opinion. "Besides ...: if you are already a fortune teller and can see into the future, then you can surely also say how the fight will end, right?" she turned to Muten Roshi's sister."No, I can't. The crystal ball doesn't show anything to me either." Uranai Baba replied, slightly piqued. "No? Great, such a junk part." Terry grumbled disappointed. "Scrap part? Did you just say scrap part?" screamed the fortune teller and was instantly on 180. With anger, she glared at the young woman in front of her. "Uh no, not really. She said 'such a beautiful thing', didn't she, Terry?" Bulma interjected hastily and pushed Teresa aside before she even had the opportunity to argue. "Just never say anything negative about the stupid crystal ball, otherwise it will turn the wheel completely." Bulma hissed when they were out of earshot. "This is her sanctuary and whoever offends it messes with her really badly." Explained the blue-haired woman.

"Where exactly is the problem now? We're going to protect the earth and give these guys a nice welcome when they come. Don't panic, right?" Son Goku changed the subject and looked invitingly around the group.Affirmative nods from Kuririn, Tenshinhan, Chao-Zu and Teresa. "You overestimate yourselves. These guys are indescribably strong. They pose a great danger!" Uranai Baba cracked, who didn't feel that she was being taken seriously because the others were so relaxed about their gloomy prediction. "Well, then we'll just train hard! How much, did you say, is it? Two? We'll probably be able to handle them!" said Kuririn, and rolled up his sleeves. “Kuririn is right, we are in the majority.” Son Goku confirmed. "NA AND ??? Your power is far beyond your imagination!" shouted Uranai Baba, annoyed by so much ignorance. "But we have to make it! We have to finally defend our earth. That's why I would say that tomorrow we'll fly to God's palace and discuss everything else there." Son Goku made a sensible suggestion. This was accepted unanimously and the witch was satisfied with it. "Nice that you are finally taking this matter seriously! Then I'll go again. I hope you train hard because the fate of our planet is in your hands. "She said to the friends before she disappeared.

Since it was now very late, it was decided to go to sleep and meet again the next day in God's palace. Tenshinhan, Chao Zu, Kuririn, Lunch and Muten Roshi flew home, the Son's stayed at the Capsule Corporation.
