hoi lilli ^. ^ thx for your review. well piccolo, friendly as ever; D
here comes the next chap, but it's a bit boring since i only took it from the manga for the most part. I had to bring the events in somehow, so I wrote it ... well, in one or two chaps it gets more exciting when certain Saiyajins finally show up ...; D
12. Crybaby Gohan
Teresa flew back to Bulma with Josh. As expected, Chichi took the news of her son and husband's disappearance less than well. After screaming in horror, she passed out before she could really cry.
Terry, meanwhile, briefly explained to Bulma what had happened and reported on her plan to go looking for the devil. Bulma was rather skeptical about the whole thing, but knew that she couldn't dissuade Terry from her plan either. So she happily agreed to take care of Josh while Terry was out.In a few minutes Terry had changed. Since it was very warm, she decided on simple denim pants, a top and her boots. The jumpers were comfortable, sure-footed and also extremely robust. In her backpack she quickly stuffed a bottle of water, warmer clothing, a rope, various other important items that could prove useful and in her right boot she stowed a small dagger so that she always had it to hand. Bulma pressed various Hoi-Poi capsules into her hand, in which everything - in her opinion important - was. Terry thanked him and stuffed everything into the backpack. Then she said goodbye to her host mother and her young son.
She didn't intend to stay away too long, but not knowing how long the search for the devil would take, she had already planned a few days. She was having a hard time leaving Josh, but she couldn't take him with her. It would be far too stressful and exhausting for the child. He was better off here and the knowledge that he was in the best of hands with Bulma and her parents made her farewell easier.
Soon after, Terry was on his way. She flew over the country at moderate speed, enjoying the sun on her skin, the fresh wind that played with her hair and the tingling in her stomach, in anticipation of an adventure.
"Never mess with Piccolo the devil."
His words still echoed in her head. A grim smile played on Terry's lips. Pah! He would still look around. She messed with everyone when she had to. And she wouldn't make an exception for a stupid oaf. Bulma had previously told her more about Piccolo, and about how Son Goku had defeated him at the big tournament when he had tried to usurp world domination.
He didn't seem like a very friendly guy, this Piccolo, but she didn't care. And if it smelled like a good fight, Terry was always there anyway. She would show him where the hammer was hanging. It just shouldn't be puffed up like that!
The rest of the day the young woman spent flying over the country looking for Piccolo and Gohan. When she hadn't found her by evening, she stopped somewhere in the forest. Since it was warm, she was able to sleep in the open air and the next morning she went straight to the search again.
Meanwhile somewhere in the middle of nowhere:
Piccolo had reached his desired destination and landed between some boulders. He put little Gohan down on the floor in front of him. "Who are you? Why did you bring me here? Where is my papa? I'm scared." The little one whimpered and stared at the devil in fear. "Don't get nervous, little sucker." Growled the Namek. "Your papa is in the afterlife and will be there for a long time," he added. That statement only made the little boy cry louder. "PAPAAA!I'm scared! "He sobbed loudly." Stop crying immediately! Otherwise I'll make a knot in your neck! "Piccolo snapped at the little one. This threat worked. Son Gohan fell silent immediately and looked up at the tall Namek, shyly. He dared not cry anymore, he only gave a quiet sniff yourself.
"Now watch out." Piccolo began and looked sternly at the boy in front of him. "In a year two guys will come to earth who are tremendously strong. They will be so strong that your father and I cannot defeat them on our own. And that's why I'm going to train you. You have to be strong to be with us to protect the earth, "he explained.
“A… but I can't fight at all.” Gohan contradicted timidly. "You are just not aware of your power. You have to learn to release it and control it." Said the devil firmly. "Y-that… I don't believe you. I don't have that strength!" stammered the little one."Wanna bet?" Piccolo grinned, and before he knew it he had grabbed little Gohan and threw him with all his might against a rock. "Show your strength or you will crash into the rock!" shouted the Namek as the kid flew towards the rock.
Gohan screwed up his eyes and screamed. His aura suddenly began to glow brightly and then there was a deafening bang.
Stunned, Piccolo stared at the crater that now criss-crossed the landscape. The kid had blown away all of the rock. His strength seemed to be even greater than he had suspected ...
"Do you believe Me Now?" he turned to the child. "Ha ... did I do that?" Gohan wanted to know and marveled in disbelief at the crater in front of him. "Yes you did." Piccolo confirmed. "Your true power only comes to the fore when you are extremely excited, and even then only for a brief moment. But it is of no use to us. I will teach you how to fight and make you the strongest warrior out of you, get it?" he announced.“But I don't want to be a warrior at all. I want to be a scholar.” Son Gohan wailed. "You can after we've defeated the two aliens. But remember, they're coming in a year, so we don't have much time." Piccolo said soothingly. "But ... but I'm scared." The little one whined. "THESE GUYS WANT TO DESTROY THE EARTH !! So stop the whining! We'll start immediately." The Namek roared.
Gohan looked up intimidated at his new teacher. "And what should I practice now?" he asked timidly. A diabolical grin crossed Piccolo's features. "At first nothing, except to survive!" he said. "To survive?" the boy echoed, confused. "Yes, exactly. Just try to get by here on your own! If you're still alive in six months, I'll show you how to fight," Piccolo explained. "I ... I'm supposed to be all alone for six months ... ?? B-but that's not possible! I'm dying of loneliness!" exclaimed Gohan in horror.“Don't worry, it's teeming with monsters and predatory dinosaurs. So you won't be lonely, huh.” It came from Piccolo. "M-Monster ?? Oh no! No! Don't leave me here alone!" shouted the little one, his eyes widening in horror. "Listen," came the exasperated devil. "I have neither time nor inclination to pamper you. Make sure that you survive and harden, mentally and physically. You are the key to saving the world, never forget that. And find out how you can use your strength effectively!" he attached it and looked intently at the little one in front of him.
"Well then ... I'm going now! By the way, this area is surrounded by a hellish desert. So an escape would be stupid!" Piccolo noticed and slowly rose into the air. "Wh ... wait! You can't just walk like that!" shouted Son Gohan, disturbed. "Where is there something to eat? Where is the bathroom? And where is my bed?" desperately he looked at the big man in front of him. "Do you really think there is something like that here?" it came scornfully from Piccolo."See how you can handle yourself!" he said, then he flew away. "WAIT! Wait! Don't leave me here alone!" shouted the little one and ran, but Piccolo was already out of sight.
Howling, Goku's son sat down on a boulder to bathe completely in his self-pity. But he shouldn't be alone for long ...
Tramping steps abruptly tore him from his resignation. With a pounding heart, the little one turned around and began to scream in panic when he saw the huge predatory dinosaur coming quickly towards him. Frightened, he tried to avoid the animal, pushed himself off the ground with all his might and managed a huge jump, with which he saved himself on a high rock. Exhausted and relieved to have escaped the monster, he knelt on the floor and gasped for air. Then he got to his feet and realized where he was now. Horrified, the little one peered over the edge of the cliff. 'How am I ever going to get back down from here ??'Son Gohan asked himself in panic. Out of desperation, he began to howl uncontrollably again. “I will starve to death.” The little one pityed himself. For a short time, for fear of the predatory dinosaur, his strength had increased so much that he had made a huge jump on this high rock. But now he was up here and couldn't go back down.
While Goku's son was completely absorbed in his self-pity, twilight fell over the land. Exhausted, Son Gohan crouched against a stone. "I'm so scared. And hungry! I'm dying of hunger!" he wailed to himself. His wailing was cut short when suddenly two apples fell from the sky. "Well?" the boy wondered and reached hungrily for the fruit. "It must have fallen from the tree," he said with a shrug and bit into it greedily. He looked up, but soon realized that there was no tree at all, especially no apple tree. Confused, he looked at the apples in his hand."Well, it doesn't matter." He mumbled then and turned back to his food.
"Why am I bothering about the little annoyance?" Piccolo wondered, hovering in the air over Son Gohan's rock. "That with the apples was an exception, he won't get any more from me!" he swore grimly. “If he can't get through alone, he wasn't anything special.” He justified this statement.
While Gohan curled up to sleep after his meager meal, Piccolo remained sitting cross-legged in the air and watched over the child.
