Chapter 1: Awake
In the galaxy Milky Way there is a solar system with the "blue planet", the earth.
It is the year 2005 according to the human calendar. The sun of this system has no mercy on the inhabitants of this planet. Because it's a very, very hot summer day. In Berlin, the capital of Germany, it is already a relatively hot 36 ° C in the shade.
Most Berliners have gone to the seaside or are hiding at home. So does Verena Nitzsche, who is lying alone on the sofa at home and dozing.(Her parents and her little brother Alex went to see relatives somewhere on the Baltic Sea for a week. She didn't have to go with them. She was very happy about it.)
She is a slim girl of 17 years with reddish brown, shoulder length hair and fawn eyes. She is wearing a dark green dress that is not too short.
When Verena got up and almost fell (because she is so tired) she first took an ice cold shower. After that, of course, she was awake and got an ice cream. Suddenly she heard strange noises from above.

She could even swear she heard someone talking, but she was home alone. Fear of death and armed with a (packed) ice cream, she looked up, but there was nothing. But now she was so scared that she didn't want to be alone.As she went back into the living room, she wondered who she could go to. When, without warning, the phone started to ring, Verena was so frightened that she dropped the ice cream, jumped backwards and screamed. But it wasn't the black man on the phone, but her friend Irene.
Irene: "Hey! How are you?"
Verena: "Pretty good." - relieved. "And how are you?"
Irene: "Also good. Is everything really okay?" She noticed the relieving tone.
Verena: "Everything is okay. I was just scared when the phone started ringing."
Irene: "If that's all. What are you doing right now, besides talking to me on the phone?"
Verena: "Nothing, and you?"
Irene: "I'm lying in the sun and learning Latin." Short silence then "Well, I'm bored to death." - bored.
Verena: "You are in the garden?" - full of joy.
Irene: "Yes, I wanted to ask you if you would like to come to me? I'm so terribly bored."
Verena: "O. K. I'm coming. Do you have a melon there too?"Irene: "Yes, a lot."

Since Verena hadn't unpacked the ice cream yet, she could simply put it away again. Then she went to her room to look for her bikini (there is a splash in Irene's garden). There was a rattle below. This time Verena wasn't as brave as with the first strange noise, and yet she went to see what that was. Nothing was visible in the living room, but there was an ice cream on the floor in the kitchen and it was unpacked. Verena began to panic. But she couldn't just leave the ice cream lying there, so she wiped the mess away. It was already rumbling upstairs, but Verena pretended she hadn't heard it. On the way to her friend, who has a garden nearby (10 minutes) (actually more like her parents), Verena had the feeling that she was being followed. So she almost ran, so she was totally exhausted. Her friend Irene has just come out of the arbor with a plate of melon and puts it on the table.Irene is a little taller than Verena. She is 17 years old, slim and she wears a slightly shorter, pink-orange-yellow dress. She has pinned her light brown hair upwards (this means you cannot see that she has very long hair, up to her bottom). She also has blue-gray eyes.
Verena told Irene everything that had happened. At the end she asked: "Can I maybe stay with you? Please." - pleading.
Irene: "I'm really sorry, but dad is sick. And I don't need to ask anyway. Karsten had already asked if his friend could stay here. Since mom said no, it would be unfair to Karsten if she said yes now. I'm sorry. "- almost pitying.
Verena: "Great and what do I do now. I don't want to be home alone."
Irene: "Maybe I can stay with you. If you don't mind ?!"
Verena: "Do I mind ?! Are you crazy! Of course I don't mind. I still prefer that to being at home alone."Of course, Irene was allowed to stay with her friend. After supper (pudding) both are
Girls went to Verena's home. Once there, they sat in the kitchen because they were still
were a little hungry and chatted. They chatted so exuberantly that they forgot the time. They also forgot the scary events. It's now past 9 p.m. and it's already dark outside. But since they weren't tired yet, they wanted to watch a DVD. You were just about to choose a film when you heard a strange noise from above.
Verena immediately remembered the morning so that Irene had to go upstairs alone to see what that was. Everything was fine in the study, she could see that straight away because the door was open. There was nothing in the bathroom either. When Irene was about to open the door of Verena's room, Verena screamed like a stick. Irene came downstairs to her immediately. Verena stood behind the sofa and pointed to the kitchen.Verena: "There is someone in the kitchen. I clearly saw a shadow."
Irene, who was starting to think this was a joke, went into the kitchen to see.
Irene: "There's nobody here."
Verena: "There was really a shadow that was moving. So someone has to be there."
Irene looked behind the door now too. But there is nothing in the kitchen. Suddenly she could hear a voice. She was very quiet and couldn't be understood. Since it was rumbling upstairs again, Irene didn't deal with it anymore and went into the living room. Verena just came running down the stairs, jumped behind the sofa and said: "Hide yourself!"
Irene went over to her, completely perplexed, and sat down. She was now more and more convinced that this was all just a joke. She notices that the kitchen door opened again. So Irene got up to close it, thinking she hadn't closed it properly.
Verena: "Stay under cover!" - quietly, worried.
Just as Irene had passed the stairs, she could hear that someone was using them.She stopped dead in its tracks as there was no one to be seen who could cause the noise. After the invisible being on the carpet could no longer be heard, both girls held their breath. Nothing happened for two minutes and nothing could be heard. Verena sat down on the sofa and said: "That was really scary." - exhaling with relief.
Irene wanted to finally close the kitchen door. But shortly before, something occurred to her and she turned around.
Irene: "Why were you upstairs?" Irene could only see the back of Verena's head.
Verena: "I don't know exactly. I had the feeling that I was called. Stupid isn't it?"
Both of them were overcome by lightning joylessness. Then ...
Verena: "There's someone here." - determined and fearful.
Irene: "Where? I don't see anyone." - scared.
Verena: "I don't see anyone either, but if there is nobody here who is holding me ?!" - panicked.
Verena tried to free herself, but the pressure on her knuckles did not ease.She felt that the face of the invisible was very close to hers. Someone whispered something in her ear.
Verena was sure that the invisible must be very close to her and yet the voice sounded as if it came from far away.
Irene wanted to help her friend, of course, but the voice she had heard earlier confused her. Then, all of a sudden, the kitchen door was pushed open with such force that Irene winced. Now she felt arms wrapping around her stomach (she hoped they were arms) and she was whispered in her ear as well.
Verena still couldn't understand it, no matter how hard she tried. Irene only heard murmurs, incomprehensible and faint. They were dark voices, which means it had to be boys or men who spoke to them.
Verena thought she heard Mikuny or something. She had no idea what Mikuny was. But then she remembered that her previous life was called Mikuny. Verena wondered where this earlier life came from and why she didn't remember earlier.Especially since she came up with the name Mikuny herself and it became one of her favorite names.
