Chapter 1: The Warning
In the evenings, Tokyo's streets were always filled with shoppers. Spicy scents wafted from the busy ramen bars and mingled with snippets of conversation in the alleys. The vendors dismantled their stalls and signs were flipped behind the shop doors.
Two certain youngsters pretended to be indifferent to all of this. Slowly and confidently they strolled through the relaxed hustle and bustle and each of them enjoyed the warm evening for themselves, which ended with a wonderful play of colors over the sea further east. The wind drove flaming shreds of red cloud over the roofs and blew the cheeky fringes on the face of a blue-haired boy.

He stopped grumpily and waited for his training partner, who took a surprising amount of time, as his disciplined soul realized."I have to say you've been really good lately," remarked the catching boy with the steel blue hair pressed. "Doesn't surprise me. The fight against Brooklyn seems to have been kind of a wake-up. You don't blad like you did before."
The one addressed just grunted and turned around again. "Garland, I tend to think that I didn't get better, but you got worse for it. The fight only revealed that you weren't trying. Ask me what your sports family thinks about it."

That was the end of the conversation for Kai, he hadn't had any desire to deal with the former Bega member in a Beyblade match from the start anyway. Now the rather battered extreme athlete ran after him and deliberately impressed a few girls with his sweaty shirt. Is he bi or what?
Without noticing it, Kai had turned into a wider street. The pavement was dominated by roaring car traffic. And right in front of him, on the sidewalk, people had gathered around a police officer.Everyone looked up at an apartment on the fifth floor of a tall building, the windows of which had been smashed.
At Kai's, the penny only fell when Garland stood next to him. "What is?"
"Tala", Kai answered quietly. "This is Tala's apartment."

The cops were slow. Slower than Kai would have guessed. Accordingly, the blader had a lot of time to lace through the crowd and storm into the stairwell of the old building. A little later he was standing tense in front of the broken door to the apartment of the vice world champion of the last champion chips.
It looked even worse in the rooms beyond. Everything was devastated. The expensive but tasteless furniture was just a pile of kindling. Kai had thought nothing was worse than a mess made by Spencer and Bryan. What happened?
"Tala?" Called the blader, although he knew that there was nothing left to save. "Spencer, Bryan .."
Garland's voice came from the hallway. It sounded thinner than a needle, but it pierced Kai's soul just as sharply."You should take a look at that, Kai."
Dranzer's owner immediately ran back; what he saw made the proud blood run cold in his veins.

Traces of blood on the floor. They were everywhere. Glowing, they pulled themselves from the landing over the steps to the next floor, marked a gruesome band that reminded of the past events. Everything was spinning in Kai's head.
The roof. What were they doing on the roof?
Kai stumbled further up the strangely blurry steps. Garland called after him furiously because the first police officers had come panting at the shattered apartment. But a professional loader who feared the worst was not easily stopped.
Unsteadily, Kai reached the flat roof that was accessible. A cool wind brushed his blue-gray hair, although the sun didn't even touch the horizon. Red eyes drove horrified over the roof and registered a terrible evidence: the blood stains, quite fresh, ran to about the middle of the platform and ended there.A nightmare? The 17-year-old hoped so. But his black-eyed half allowed no wishful thinking. The only question was: How did a helicopter get away as quickly as it took to get there?
A small breeze made something crackle at Kai's feet. The boy hesitantly bent down and picked up a crumpled piece of paper.

Something broke inside him as he deciphered the words hastily scribbled on it and confirmed a vague premonition.
"So and now look how you explain this to the nice law enforcement officers ... hmmm?" Garland stared at his motionless counterpart, in the middle of his dynamic and absolute ^. ^ Frozen in athletic movement when he noticed his rigid and frightened expression.
The world was really upside down. Kai and ... and ... ver ... that he didn't laugh!
Shocked, Kai went back to the stairs, ignoring the distraught police officers. Suddenly a deadly calm reigned in him. He was a machine again, just one aim.Mechanically his empty hands clenched into fists as his fingernails pricked his flesh.

Just before the stairs he hesitated and turned around. His gaze sought Garland's, who was still wondering what his rival knew.
"Give that to Kenny," Kai said in a calm voice and threw his blue blade into his hands. "He should check whether it is damaged."
Garland looked astonished at the staircase where Kai had long since disappeared. Whatever prompted him to leave his beloved phoenix in the care of the intelligent BEGA member, it did not come from this world.
The athlete frowned at the police officers, who were discussing whether to pursue the blue-haired man or arrest him or, quite differently, call for reinforcements.

Garland strolled back to the stairs. Give it a try ... He wondered if he should let his friends know before he drove to Tyson's house. In the middle of this he came across a scrap of paper fluttering on the floor. He caught him before he could sail from the house. He began to read, knowing full well.
A few seconds later, not even the screams of the police kept him on the roof longer than necessary.

They have us ... it's not Boris ... maybe cronies ... the line is dead ... nobody there ... we have no chance, they have weapons ... Kai has to go, you are in acute danger ... take us to Russia ...

And…? Sorry, is my first fanfiction, but as I know myself it will be something bigger ... * sigh * A few clerks would be great, they would be a kind of confirmation that I can continue to burden you with it ...! So I'll just say one more thing ... this fic grows when you feed it with clerks, so be so nice and ...
So then, wait longingly * sob * for advice and tirades of hate
