Suddenly there was a tentative knock on her door and she immediately jumped up as if stung by a tarantula. She quickly wiped away her tears and tried to calm down as best she could. "Lina Schatz, will you come to dinner, please?" Her mother called from outside. "Uh, sure, mom! I'll be right there!" She said quickly. Lina waited until her mother was down the stairs and then quickly ran from her room to the bathroom. There she first threw cold water on her face. After she had dried her face with the towel, she slowly went downstairs to where her family was waiting for her. Her two sisters were arguing again and her mother smiled as she watched them both. Actually there were hardly any reasons to be as unhappy as she was, but it was her, and as much as she wanted to prevent it, she couldn't. She couldn't be happy as hard as she tried. Nevertheless, in order not to attract attention, she put on an artificial smile.Luka and Taya were twins and 4 years younger than Lina. But the two were fundamentally different. With pretended joy she sat down at the table and picked out something to eat. During the meal she wandered completely into her thoughts. She didn't even notice her mother questioning her about her day. "Hey ?? !! Little mouse! ??", she said and gently stroked her hair. Immediately she was back from her thoughts. "How? What do you say mom ???", she asked. "Oh, my darling, you are so in thoughts at the moment! Do you have any worries? Maybe problems at school or do you have stress with your girlfriends or with your boyfriend ????", asked the somewhat overconcerned woman. Lina grinned briefly. Again she had thought about what would happen if she really did take her own life. ° No! I can not do this! I would make mom so miserable! I would destroy her whole life. I can not do this! As redeeming as it may be, I can't hurt a loving person like you that much!°, she thought sadly about what she had thought. "Oh no, it's nothing! I'm just a little bit tired from school anymore!" She conjured up as an excuse. "Oh well then I'll let you have a relaxing bath afterwards! You will see afterwards you will feel much better!", Said her mother happily and stroked her cheek. At this very moment Lina wanted nothing more than some raven parents who let their child be neglected and left to their own devices. Just then she would not have such feelings of guilt and also many more reasons to simply get rid of everything. "Lina ????", asked her sister Taya. She started again. "Uh yeah ??" "I wanted to ask if you could help me with my homework?", Taya asked a little shyly. "Yes, of course! But I will explain it to you and you will do it yourself! Otherwise you will not learn it!", She said like a teacher. And so the rest of the dinner went. Lina kept diving into her thoughts and the rest of the family seemed to be having a good time.Again, nobody noticed that Lina had great worries on her mind. At first she was a little sad that nobody noticed how bad she was, but after a long time this became part of everyday life. In the evening she sat down with her sister and helped her with her homework. Lina was already in the 9th grade but Taya was only in the 4th grade. Her sister was visibly happy about the help and both of them were finished quickly. With a heavy heart Lina went to her room knowing that she would have to be alone again. She knew as soon as she would be alone, she would have to cry again. She had tried everything but this was of no use. After only 1 minute after she was in her room, it was already dripping from her eyes again. But what she felt was much worse. It was a feeling of indescribable coldness and loneliness. At first it was hardly noticeable, but the longer she was alone, the greater this uncomfortable feeling became.It spread all over her body and sometimes she could already feel a stinging sensation. At such moments she would like to run out of her room and cling to someone very tightly so that this horrible feeling subsides, but she couldn't. What would that person think of her? Quickly and with tears she did everything that had to be done and then went to bed. But even there she mostly found no peace. Only when she could no longer and no longer had the strength to cry did she fall asleep. As on this evening. Early in the morning she was torn from her dreamless sleep by her alarm clock. Again, she only got back to bed after 1 a.m. or had only been able to fall asleep then. She got up sadly. Everything hurt her and she felt like she had been run over by a bus. Only when she was showering did she really wake up. Fortunately, she didn't have to walk to school alone, otherwise it would have happened again.Her friend Chris came every day to pick her up. It was a normal day again today. It was Friday and that weekend was a long one because Monday was a public holiday. "Morning Lina!" Shouted Chris from afar. Lina beamed towards her because she was happy to have company. "Good morning Chris!" She exclaimed happily. Both embraced in greeting and immediately set off for school. They talked extensively along the way. "Don't you feel like going to a party on Saturday ??? Alexa and so come with me!" Said Chris. She knew that Lina could use a bit of a change and that was the best option. "Yes of course! Why not!", Lina agreed with a smile. She knew exactly how such celebrations were going, but at least she wasn't alone there.
