Chapter 4
"Encounter"
After a few minutes she cried herself and looked up, startled. What was she doing? Had she clung to the block of ice in her blind despair? But wait a minute: he hadn't pushed her away, just let her be. Could he have something like feelings after all?
At that moment Shan'dalar got another cold look from hers across the street. / I must have been wrong ... / thought the elf sadly.
He just got up and left her sitting alone on the lakeshore.
She looked dreamily out over the mirror-smooth lake and out of the blue she saw James standing in the middle of the lake. / I dream. / she thought sadly.
"It's time to say goodbye, my love. Here begins a new world for me. But be assured ... One day I'll follow you, then we'll finally be together again." As if in greeting, the ghost figure raised her hand and waved to the girl to."Goodbye!" she breathed after the disappearing figure. And then he was just gone. She started to smile and wiped the last tear from her face. Now she could start a new life here, because she was sure ... They would be reunited ... in another world.
Slowly the sun rose from its sleep and the birds sang their most beautiful songs. She went back to the campfire exhilarated.
Rin was still asleep and so she set out on her own to find something to eat.
After walking around a little aimlessly, she reached the outskirts of a village. Isolated huts stood by huge rice fields and the farmers took care of the plants.
Shan'dalar quietly transformed back into Lea and walked towards the center of the village. There she just saw how two men (really men?) Were beating each other violently.
Another man in a monk's habit and two girls obviously wanted to separate the arguers.Suddenly one of the girls stood up straight, put one hand on her hip and raised the other. Then she closed her eyes, took a deep breath and let out a resounding "Make room!" sound.
Then one of the beating found himself pressed firmly to the ground. The second in the group burst out laughing and pointed with his finger at the spellbound.
“This is what a dog boy really has to look like to me!” A quiet: “Just watch out, wolf!” came in reply from the "dog boy".

Wolf
Thereupon this Kouga took her hands and said: "I will do everything for you, my dearest bride Kagome." Before the "dog boy" could pounce on him again, Kouga had already disappeared in a hurricane.
"Inuyasha, it's good now. Kouga is gone." Kagome knelt next to the said Inuyasha and began to scratch his dog's ears. / Dog ears?Great, nothing surprises me here anymore. / thought Shan'dalar, scratching the back of his head.
"And what do you have to say now, Miroku and Sango?" Inuyasha grumbled. Both began to frantically wave their arms and said in unison: "Nothing!"
Shan'dalar had to grin. / A strange group ... /
Then Inuyasha became aware of her. "Who are you? I've never seen you here before! And why are you spying on us?" He approached her menacingly.
"Why spy? The scene could be missed! And you couldn't be overheard either! Besides, the place is public and everyone can come here!" She put her hands on her hips and looked at him challengingly.
Inuyasha had probably not expected such a reaction and looked at her perturbed. Who was this insolent girl now?
Kagome came up to her laughing: "You are brave, but will you tell us your name as well?" "My name is Shan….Uh, Lea. Nice to meet you. "She bowed politely. One by one, the friends introduced themselves.
Inuyasha looked suspiciously at her from the side: "And what are you doing here?"
Suddenly Rin remembered. She just wanted to organize something to eat ... "Au Schitt! I just wanted to look for something to eat and then go back immediately! They never wait for me!" She jumped up and was about to start walking again when Kagome was on her wrist noted: "Here, I brought a little too much! We can give it away. Just put hot water on it!" "Instant noodles? Where are you from, please?" Shan'dalar couldn't believe it ... Here it was obviously in the Middle Ages where there was definitely no instant noodles! "You know instant noodles? That means that you come from the future! Just like me!" Kagome took the hands of the astonished girl, beaming with joy.
Did you also come from the future? Wow, that was hard to believe.
"Who isn't waiting for you?"Inuyasha's suspicious voice again.
"Now I almost forgot it again! I have to go!" She quickly took the pasta in her hands and sprinted off. But Inuyasha rushed after her and stood in her way. "WHO?" he yelled at her. Shan'dalar tensed. "Is none of your business!" she yelled back.
“If you asked nicer, you would get an answer.” In front of Inuyasha a small creature stood up and pointed with a raised index finger at the white-haired man. As soon as it was spoken, a bump glowed on the little one's head and he fled to Kagome, crying. Shan'dalar began to grin and took a few steps back. Horrified, Inuyasha now realized what was going to follow and he was stretched out on the floor.
Shan'dalar couldn't help but laugh and looked at the little boy with the bump. "Who are you? And what are you?" she asked with a grin. "My name is Shippou and I am a fox demon!" "Hello, Shippou, my name is Lea and I am happy to meet you."“Oh yes, I still owe an answer.” Glinting angrily, she turned back to Inuyasha, who was still crouching on the floor and rubbing his head.
"I'm traveling around with a gorgeous young lady named Rin and two crazy guys. One of them is a frog or something. I'm not so sure about that. His name is Jaken ..."
Their speech was interrupted by a startled groan from their friends. Kagome asked carefully: "And the other one isn't called Sesshoumaru by any chance?"
"Exactly! You know the ice block too?" she beamed at the others.
"Yeah, I know him pretty well. He's my half-brother!" Inuyasha growled.
"YOU are the brother? You should be careful: a guy named Naraku is after you!"
Inuyasha swallowed. Naraku?
