Shippo had sat down on the bank and started building a sand castle.Kagome sat down in the sand and lolled a little towards the remaining rays of the sun. Inuyasha took off his wet top and lay down on the sand too, close to Kagome. He crossed his arms behind his head and looked out to sea. Kagome looked up briefly, surprised at the proximity and the sudden sociability of the Hanyou, but then turned her gaze back to the horizon. Kagome heard from afar that Shippo announced that it was too cold for him and that he would go to sleep. Now only Inuyasha and Kagome were lying on the beach. ° I have to admit, Inuyasha looks damn good when he's lying there without a top. ° Inuyasha felt Kagome's gaze on him, but he didn’t show anything. ° What is she thinking? ° After a while, Kagome returned her gaze to the water. It was calmer. The waves kept piling up just before the coast, but then came to a standstill on the beach. This game was repeated over and over again. There were fewer and fewer seagulls on the horizon.Soon you could only see the sun as a semicircle, glistening red on the horizon. The wind picked up and blew the sand over Kagome's body. She enjoyed this tingly feeling on her skin. Because it was still warm. But as the sun's rays dwindled, Kagome began to shiver. But she wanted to savor the moment she spent with Inuyasha and they weren't arguing a little longer. He sat up and stared at the sea and the waves. Kagome did the same. She straightened up and then wrapped her arms around her legs as it was getting quite cool. Inuyasha noticed that Kagome was shivering. He wondered if he should just hug her, but he was unsure. The half-demon gave a jerk and stood up.
He sat behind Kagome and wrapped his arms around her body and hugged her tightly. Kagome's eyes widened in surprise when Inuyasha hugged her. At first she was shocked, but then relaxed when she noticed the warmth he was radiating.She leaned back and snuggled closer to the hanyou's chest. This time it was Inuyasha who was surprised. He had expected that Kagome would reject him, yell at him, smack him on the floor or whatever, but not that she would get any closer to him. Happily, he inhaled the scent of her hair. Kagome also enjoyed this moment of warmth. ° I've always wished for a moment like this with him. ° How long they had sat like that, Kagome could not say afterwards either. But Inuyasha broke the silence. "Kagome?" "Mm?", Kagome had closed his eyes and did not open them when Inuyasha started. "I have to tell you something," he said seriously. At the tone of his voice, Kagome opened his eyes and looked up at him. ° Okay, Inuyasha, the beginning is done, now there is no going back. ° He looked into her brown eyes, which looked at him so full of confidence and yet confused, and gave himself another jerk. "Kagome, I li - .." (No, no, no, it doesn't go that fast here ^ ^) Just then it cracked behind them.Inuyasha grabbed Kagome's arm in a flash and threw herself to one side with her.

Less than a hundredth of a second later, a demon that looked like an oversized moose was standing in front of them. Inuyasha immediately grabbed Tessaiga, which he still had dangling from his belt, and faced the demon. Immediately Tessaiga transformed and Inuyasha attacked the demon. Kagome watched how Inuyasha kept inflicting new wounds on the demon, which he didn't seem to mind. Inuyasha himself had some wounds, but it weakened him more than the demon. So it seemed easy for the demon to throw Inuyasha into the sand a few meters away. The moose turned slowly to Kagome and gasped. "Give me the Shikon no Tama, otherwise you are dead.", He scratched his hooves in the sand and lowered his antlers to attack Kagome at any moment. Only then did Inuyasha find the strength to ram Tessaiga into his stomach. The demon dissolved in black smoke.Breathing heavily, the half demon let his sword slide back into its scabbard. "INUYASHAA !!!!!", Kagome shouted and ran towards him. "Kagome .." the Hanyou whispered as the girl threw her arms around his neck and pressed herself against his chest. He put both arms around her and pulled her closer to him. "I was so scared," she whispered and tears ran down her face. "I was afraid too. Afraid of losing you.", Surprised Kagome looked into Inuyasha's golden yellow eyes, which looked at her so seriously. "Inuyasha?", She looked at him questioningly. He carefully wiped the last tears from her eyes before he started again. “Aishiteru, Kagome.” He leaned down and gently put his lips on hers. Surprised, she only returned this tender kiss a fraction later and happily closed her eyes. "I love you too, Inuyasha.", Kagome breathed with closed eyes.
