Sora and Yolei had bought a bouquet of flowers and were waiting for the others at the agreed meeting point. Little by little they all rolled in. Last of all was Matt. Why should he have hurried too? After all, he lived just around the corner. Sora led the welcoming party. After all, she was the only one who knew where Mimi lived now. To Matt's amazement, they ran straight to the apartment building where he lived.
"Ok guys! Since we don't all fit in the elevator at once, we'll split up and see you upstairs. We have to go to the top floor!" Sora, Matt, Tay, Yolei and Ken were the first to get into the elevator. Matt was getting more and more uncomfortable. At the top they got out and waited for the others. Then they rang the doorbell at the only front door on the floor and waited. They waited a long time. They wanted to leave again when they heard something crack inside. Then the door was thrown open and Mimi stood in front of them.Her recently dark red hair was pinned up loosely. She wore tight jeans and a matching denim top.
She stared at the other digi knights in surprise. Then she started to shine.
"Welcome back, Mimi!" Sora called and hugged her friend. Then she pressed the bouquet into her hand.
"Come in first." Mimi said and made an inviting gesture towards the apartment. The others followed her through a large pile of suitcases, boxes, and unassembled furniture. Mimi was really happy that they hadn't forgotten her. Even Matt came! Yes, Mimi had registered immediately, Izzy wasn't there. So he was still pissed off with her ...
They had reached Mimi's room. It was very big. But even here it was teeming with boxes and the like. Mimi pushed everything together a bit.
"Would it be bad to sit on the floor?"
Several heads were shaken and so they sit in a large circle on the floor. Mimi planted herself between Davis and Sora, who just whispered something in Matt's ear, from which he kissed her.Mimi got a queasy feeling in her stomach. But she didn't know why. “Where are your parents anyway?” Ken asked.
"They're shopping. We had to leave a lot in America and now need new ones."

Everyone laughed.
And so they talked about all sorts of things all afternoon.
In the evening Mimi brought the troop to the door. With that strange feeling again, she watched Sora and Matt climb into the elevator, holding hands.
She was about to close the door when the elevator doors opened again. It was Matt.
"Hey Matt. Did you forget something?"
"I uh ... well ... I want to ask you if we should go to school together tomorrow?"
Mimi laughed. I don't go to school anymore. I'm already on vacation.Maybe next school year. "
"Wow, you're fine." said Matt.
"That doesn't mean that I don't have to study. I have to go to school for a test the day after tomorrow morning."
"How come?"
"Well, classes are structured differently in America. And if I pass this test, I can skip a class."
"Then you would be in my grade."
"Right. Well, see you."
"OK Bye!"
Matt got back on the elevator and drove to his father's apartment on the second floor.
Mimi was still the wonderful girl from four years ago. She was even more beautiful. She was just a girl to fall in love with ...
I'm with Sora! he reminded himself. Sora was the girl he had to adore, not Mimi! He was with Sora and that's that! He had to get Mimi out of his mind. But that was easier said than done. Matt was awake late that evening.
