Chapter 3 - A Factory ?!

Huhu ^ - ^

I'm back again! So here is the chapter. Sorry that it took so long T-T

Well now it's there and I hope you enjoy it!

It looked pretty dirty. A small river that meandered next to the factory seemed to be the only thing that was fairly clean for some. The factory had several silos, a main building and a huge warehouse. Everything was connected with rusted steel corridors. Everything in the large forecourt was empty. No cat, no leaf, no human. Nobody was to be seen. Everything seemed to be dead. "What do we want here?" Asked Sanara, insecure. "The master will explain that to you," answered Frank. He went to a rusted gate, took a key from his pocket and unlocked it. “Ladies first!” With a wave of his hand he indicated that she should go and she did it without any objection. The gate was very difficult to open. "What's that supposed to mean? It's just an old, abandoned factory!", she thought. Even when they were standing in front of the door everything seemed deserted. Sanara carefully pushed the rusted door aside. It was all dark, only the light of the moon that came through the open door lit the room. Also the windows." were boarded up. Only here and there a small ray of light shone into the room. "Said an unfamiliar voice behind her. Frightened, Sanara turned around. A young man was standing directly in front of her. He didn't seem much older than her, but somehow he looked quite grown up. His black hair shimmered in the bright moonlight and his eyes." flashed when he saw her face. She was so surprised that she staggered a few steps backwards and finally fell. He reached out for her but she slapped it aside. "What-? "Angry, Sanara stood up and sat up in front of him." What is actually going on here ?! First two brain-amputated clowns kidnap me and talk about a 'master', then suddenly they disappear and some idiot stands in front of me!Can someone explain to me what this crap is about ?! "He shook his head, rather bored." The two 'brain-amputated clowns', as you call them so beautiful, still have a lot to do. So come on in now. "Angry, she shoved him aside and ran back into the large courtyard." I know what's going on here! This is one of those stupid camera traps! Yeah, and the red light over there is definitely the camera! "A little startled, he turned in the direction where Sanara was pointing." D- This is not a camera! DOWN! ", he shouted, pulling her with him to the ground. A shot rang out and shortly afterwards a bang. She closed her eyes out of fear and put her arms protectively over her head. She felt small stones trickle down on her For a while she tried to get up but when they put her foot through her a stabbing pain went through her and she slid back to the ground, "Hey, did you hurt yourself?" Come i will help you. "Surprised, Sanara looked up and into the boy's dirty face."Don't worry, they're just these psychopaths from the neighborhood who are always running around with a gun." He held out his hand to her and helped her up again. As she looked around, she noticed a large hole in the floor of the courtyard. "It all made such a little bang?" She asked, amazed. "Jop. If you see a laser aiming at you, don't ask if it's a camera but: Get out of here! These things are super dangerous. Well, so much for that. Now come on. They're all waiting!" Sanara understood she couldn't do anything else and she wanted to get away from these crazy people anyway. So she followed him without arguing. By now she was freezing. It didn't get warmer in the entrance hall either. Shivering, the boy went to a light switch and switched on a couple of yellowed lamps. "Follow me!" He said and disappeared through a door. For about 10 minutes they went up rusted stairs and when Sanara thought that her feet would fall off, they stopped in front of a door."You have to get in here by yourself. See you soon." He opened the door for her, which then began to creak horribly. "That is supposed to be a joke ?! What is the mess?", She thought a little fearfully. It smelled musty, almost like her old home. She took another deep breath and then went through the rusted door. First it was down a narrow corridor, then into a kind of office. "The master is coming soon ..." a voice whispered to her. Startled, she turned and looked into a boy's face. His clothes were torn and his hair was messed up. He nodded to her and then disappeared just as quickly as he had come. It was very dark in the room. Although all the windows were open here, the moonlight was dark and oppressive. The walls were made of wood and so was the floor. Unlike the other part of the factory, it was pretty clean and tidy here. There were also real lamps on a desk in the middle of the room.Behind it were some filing cabinets and a desk chair. The windows were large and a kind of curtain hung in front of them. At first glance, everything looked like an office, but then her gaze fell on a shelf with a pane of glass in front of it. Hundreds of knives were hanging in it! Many were ornate and beautiful. Others, on the other hand, looked quite old and rusted. One of the knives was pretty small. It was no more than four inches tall. In the middle was a rather large knife. Almost as big as one of those swords that knights used in the Middle Ages. It looked old and was rusty. Her gaze wandered through the shelf with interest. Suddenly her gaze fell on a very special knife. The blade was made of silver and was shaped like a lightning bolt. A red stone was engraved in it and at the end of the handle a dragon stared at Sanara. Its tail wrapped itself around the entire handle and a small portion of the blade as well. The eyes were the same red stones as on the blade. No matter how hard she struggled, she couldn't take her eyes off the knife. Without noticing it, she kept walking towards it until suddenly she was standing right in front of it. A strange aura surrounded Sanara when she touched the gas disc. "What is that?" She asked, slightly absent. She probably meant the knife like this aura. "That, my child, is the Kanarim."

explained a hoarse voice. She was startled and turned around, as if awakened from a trance. A younger man was now sitting at the desk that was standing lonely in the room. A hood was pulled over his face and his clothes were jet black. Dark red eyes glared at Sanara. Where did that come from now ?! At first she wanted to run away, but where should she go? "W ... who are you?" She asked. "Well, if you only knew that ... sit down." He pointed to a chair in front of the desk. At first she hesitated, but then she went over to him without a word and sat on the slightly battered chair. He leafed through a folder a little then lifted his head and glared at her again with his red eyes. "So Sanara ..."

"How do you know my ..."

"Don't interrupt me!"

"Uh ... ok ..."

"Well ... you have probably already wondered what you are doing here and what the two ...gentlemenwanted from you."

"Yes! And then ha ..."

"What did I say?!"

"Oh ... sorry. I'm already quiet ..."

"Good ..." he said, slightly irritated. "Yeah, where were we? Oh yeah. This isn't just a factory. In reality, it's like ... hmm ... a school."

"One shoe ...?"

"Sanara! Yes, a school. We observe each of our students day and night before we ... uhh ... have them picked up."

"Oh God! Even in the shower ?!" she screamed in horror. She saw him blush slightly under his hood.

"J ... Yes ... Even in the shower. Well, at least: You were lucky that we chose you to study here with us. But I have to warn you. This is not a normal school. I don't just mean that it's hidden in an old factory, but also what you're learning. "

"Why? What do you learn here?"

"Things like cracking the safe, which is the richest bank in the world, where rich people live, putting alarm systems out of action, sneaking up on them and also handling daggers ..."

"What ?! This is a thief school ?!"

"You can say it that way, yes."

"I don't steal! Never! I promised my father I wouldn't get on the wrong track and I keep my promise. They can forget me! I'm not going to do that!"

"Pah! You can't just say 'I'm not going to take part'! We have chosen you and you will learn how to steal and then also implement it! And if you don't want to stop me violence!" Horrified, she looked at him. The color of her face had meanwhile turned from red to white and she had knocked over the chair when she got up frantically. She bowed her head, picked up the chair and sat down again, facing the floor."You can force my body to steal, but you can never convince my mind."

"Do you want to know why we took you of all people?"

"Yes."

"Because you have this impossible willpower."

"What do you mean?"

"Oh nothing ... go out. Kassandra will take you to your room."

Without looking at him, Sanara got up and went to the door.

"Oh wait! One more thing," he called after her.

"Yes?"

"Does the memory of your father still hurt a lot?"

"No."

"Yes, yes ... so it's true ... time heals wounds ..."

"No. Time doesn't heal wounds. You just get used to the pain."
