Chapter 3: The Half-Blood Prince does the honors

The last 2 weeks passed without any major events. Harry had already bought a bed and a wardrobe for his new bedroom.
Otherwise Harry enjoyed the time and spent it with his friends. At first he was surprised that he wasn't attacked by Voldemort. After all, the Daily Prophet kept reporting new victims. Lupine told him it was due to the fact that Dumbledore is dead. Voldemort seems to be of the opinion that you are no longer a danger to him, at least that's what Lupine thinks.
Harry didn't know what to make of it, but he wanted to enjoy the time with Ginny and the others. Even if he now has no choice but to go back to school, he doesn't know what else can happen.

A week before school started, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny got their letters from Hogwarts. But Harry got a second letter, he didn't know the post owl, but he could already guess who the letter was from.So he grabbed the letter and went upstairs to the room he shares with Ron. Harry didn't know whether to open it or throw it away. But something in him said that he should read the letter first and then decide.
Finally he opened the parchment with a nudge of his wand. The letter was carefully written, but you could tell that it was trembling a bit while writing it.
`Harry!
Draco must have already told you that I want to contact you. So I think you won't be surprised to read this letter.
What should i say This shouldn't have happened and believe me I wasn't going to kill him. I knew you were standing at the door and I wanted to take the curse off you and neutralize the rest of the Death Eaters, but everything turned out differently.
I got into the tower and I saw the four Death Eaters and Malfoy standing in front of him. I noticed your aura next to the door.It had to mean you were under a curse. And he stood in front of the parapet and pleaded with me. Yes, he begged me to kill him. I don't want to believe it myself, but with his last strength he stepped across from me in thought and spoke to me from man to man. I should release him and take care of Malfoy and you. Yes, I should take care of you too!
So I didn't have much of a choice, so I killed him and so openly confessed to the dark side. This is the only way I could keep the trust of the Dark Lord and Death Eaters and take care of Malfoy.
I know you're in good hands right now and the dark lord won't want to deal with you either. However, should we get our hands on you, we should kill you. Of course I will do everything I can to get the orders in your area, but still be careful and take care of yourself.
I would of course be happy if you answer me. Your owl will find me, but don't write under your real name and put an undetectability spell on your owl.Oh and I have one more request. Don't use Unforgivable Curses. They will lead you to the dark side more than you would like and you will no longer be able to escape. Use my old book, it will definitely help you in many ways.

Harry read the letter again and a third time. Then he stormed down to the kitchen and pulled Hermione, Ron and Ginny up into the room with him. Of course, Ginny already knew about everything, including the letter from Malfoy.
He handed the three of them the letter from Snape and started pacing the room.
When they finished reading, Hermione and Ginny had to fight back tears, but Ron looked like he was in the wrong movie. It seemed like an eternity before Ron finally said something, "And do you believe him?"
Harry stopped abruptly.
"I don't know. It would explain a lot and it would look like Dumbledore. I'll talk to Dumbledore first, maybe he can explain it to me and I don't even know how this undetectability spell works.Hermione can you help me with that? "Harry was now addressing his best friend directly.
Hermione ponders for a moment and finally answered. "No, I'm sorry Harry. But I bet Lupine knows him, but asking him what do you mean?"
"What should I tell him? Snape wrote to me and so that Voldemort wouldn't notice, do I need this spell?" Harry looked a little unreliable.
"Harry Harry. We can come up with some excuse." Hermione looked a little cross when she answered Harry.
"We could say we need the spell so that we can write to our parents if something happens and so the dark lord wouldn't notice anything. Lupine will find the idea great," Ginny suddenly said.
They looked at everything in disbelief. The idea was perfect. Harry walked over to her and kissed her tenderly. "Ginny this is awesome!" Harry finally spoke.
So, so she went to find Lupine so that he could teach them this spell.*****
