Chapter 1: A new Life

I felt tears welling up when I saw a photo of Grandpa, Comet as a little puppy and myself.We looked so incredibly happy, Grandpa smiled with his loveliest smile in this photo, I had Comet in my arms and smiled at least as lovingly as he did. My tears ran down my cheeks, down to the old photo. I decided to close the photo album and put it back on the shelf, but as I raised my arm to put it back, a white envelope flew out of the album. Slowly I picked it up and couldn't believe my eyes as I read who it was meant for.
