Chapter: security

-Security-

After the conductor was gone, Daniel sighed and sank into his seat.
"So your name is Nisha."
He grinned at her contentedly. She looked out at the rain again.
"Oh come on, don't be offended just because I know your name. I think it's very beautiful."
"If you think so." Nisha said disinterestedly.
"Yes I do."
"Hm."
There was silence for a brief moment.
Daniel asked softly: "Why don't you like your name anyway?"
She looked up, irritated. Nobody had asked her anything like that before, at least not when she had just met someone.
"You don't care."
"True, I don't care, but it isn't."
She thought for a moment and then said hesitantly: "It is strange and nobody knows how to pronounce it correctly. Everyone always thinks the same I am a Turkish or Arab."
"Isn't that you?"
"Is that how I look to you?" She asked, just not to answer.
Daniel looked at her in silence for a long time.Nisha was just right, so she could watch the rain undisturbed again. He kept falling against the pane. It made a sound like someone was tapping their fingers on the pane. She was getting tired and was soon only half asleep.
"I think you look beautiful."
She startled, startled by Daniel's voice. He had said something, but she hadn't heard it right.
"What did you say?"
"Oh, it's not that important," he said with a smile.
Something about his smile touched Nisha's heart. It was a long time ago that anyone had smiled at her like that. As long as. Suddenly she longed for someone to take her in her arms and with whom she felt safe. She felt the tears coming and looked quickly out the window.
But too late. Daniel had seen her sad look. It hurt him to see her so hurt, even if he didn't even know her. He wanted to help her, but he didn't know how. He wanted to take them in his arms, they protect against all evil in the world. He reached out and slowly turned her head away from the window so that she was looking at him. Her eyes looked like the rain that kept pounding against the pane. You were full of tears, they slowly ran down her cheek. She looked at him without blinking. His hand was still on her cheek. Nobody would ever remove them there. Daniel pulled her slowly into his arms. Without resistance, she let him hug and hold her. He smelled the scent of her still wet hair and felt her warmth. He lay across the seats but never let go of Nisha. No way.
She lay there, snuggled close to him. She could hear his heartbeat softly and felt his arms tightly gripped. She would have loved to lie there forever. Would have liked to stop time. The rain that drummed against the windows, the dim light that prevailed in the compartment, Daniel. She hardly knew him, didn't know anything about him. Where had their good intentions gone? Gone. She didn't care how many times a boy had hurt her, it didn't matter. What mattered was the moment. The moment when no one did anything to her, when she could finally feel safe again. Security. That was what she had missed so much. It was a strange feeling to be in the arms of a complete stranger and yet she didn't want to be anywhere else. Never again.
Daniel noticed that she had stopped crying and asked her softly: "Will you tell me?"
"What should I tell you?"
Since her head rested on his chest, she could hear him sigh silently.
"Oh come on. What's bothering you?"
He gently stroked her hair. They were dry now.
"It's a long story and you wouldn't understand it anyway.", Nisha contradicted sadly.
"We have time and I would like to hear the story." He smiled, even if she didn't see it, she knew he did.
