Chapter: A letter! A new school!

A letter! A new school?

We talked all night to guys who, like us, found that no one in the world needed them. Again and again my brother Robin came in who complained that we were laughing too loud, which of course is not true according to our knowledge.
We also went down to the kitchen and made omelets in the middle of the night. My mother already knew that from us because we have already done something and Rikku is a terrific cook. Cooking is also her dream job.
Because we guys were upset all night long and Rikku howled several times about Sam, her ex-boyfriend.
We woke up at noon when the doorbell rang. It was Rikku's mother who wanted to pick her up. I heard my mother talking to Rikku's from upstairs. We quickly packed Rikku's things and got dressed. As we went down, Robin came towards us and Rikku said goodbye to him. Downstairs we said goodbye to each other and that we will see each other at school on Monday. When Rikku was gone I went to the kitchen to have breakfast in peace. My mother came to me in the kitchen and sat down with me at the table.
"So you've been talking about guys all night, haven't you?" said my mother suddenly.
"mhmh, yes what? Girls my age do that." I answered directly.
" And?" my mother asked with a grin on her face.
"What and?" I her.
"Well, if there is a boy like that with you, too, where you cry at your best friend's house if he broke up with you? That's what I mean by And!" she answered my question. I just looked at her then I replied:
"Nope, because there isn't. And you don't need to drill any further because you know I would tell you everything, there isn't any, honestly."
My mother was just about to say something, but at that moment the letter slot in the door opened and probably put today's mail in,
My mother went to get the mail, I looked at my watch and actually saw it a little early for the mail."Isn't the post a little early today, on a Saturday? Who wrote it?" I asked my mother when I went to the door, because my mother did not come back.
"Hey, can't you answer me anymore?" I asked her when she didn't answer me.
My mother was holding two parchment envelopes, on one of which was written in green ink:
Robin Mclaren, I already knew that, because my big brother had received a letter like this for about 6 years or so. This is the shopping list for such a weird private school in England. My parents said that I should actually go to this special school for extra talented students four years ago. But there was no letter for me. Well what so I could go to school with my friends. But this time there was a second letter with the name Minu Mclaren on it. My mother had already opened it and was reading. Then all of a sudden she called my father: "Richard! Come on quickly and Robin come quickly, your shopping list for Hogwarts is here. RICHARD !!!"The men in the house came running downstairs quickly and flew down the last step in sync.
"What's the matter, darling? What are you screaming about through the house? Ah, good morning Minu. Can you help your old man on his feet? he said when he was lying on the floor with Robin.
"Of course I helped you up, Grandpa, and then we'll bring you home to old age.", I answered him with a grin on my face and helped him up.
"But what's that now why are you calling me Rina? Did we finally win the lottery?" asked my father when he was standing again.
My mother first gave Robin his letter and then she passed mine on to Dad when she asked: "Dearest mother in the world, why did you open my mail?"
My mother completely ignored me, then went upstairs with my father without answering me.
I was left pissed off.
"Funny that the shopping list comes so early, the summer holidays have only just started, I only came back yesterday.Funny? "Said my brother to himself. Since I was already angry enough and he was annoying me with this idiot school, I said casually with a sarcastic tone in my voice:" They probably want you back quickly. Idiots attract themselves in a magical way, no! "I answered him. Normally he reacts to the fact that he sticks me par, but this time he ignored it completely. But this time he just said:" Magical. You once said a good word about Hogwarts: "After that sentence he went upstairs. I stopped in front of the stairs, confused.

I went into the kitchen to clean up my breakfast because I had lost my appetite. Then I went up to my room and cleaned it up. Then I heard a knock on the door and said, "Come in."
My parents came in and closed the door behind them. They sat on my bed and looked very happy. My father held my letter in his hand and said with his eyes I should listen now.
I sat on my desk and listened intently. My father began: "Minu, you know that your brother goes to a special school that is in England. Well, we actually hoped that you would go to this school four years ago. But there was no letter . "
"And?" I asked.
"Well, this letter is permission for you to go to Hogwarts too," my mother answered.
"What do you want to send me there, to England? How should I explain that to Rikku. We are here in Germany. ... I don't want to go there, I don't want to get away from my friends." I replied, tears welling up in my eyes.
"No, I don't want to go to this school. You can't force me! I'm not going there!" I yelled at my parents.
My mother looked me straight in the eyes and then said in a decisive tone: "Minu, be quiet and sit down!" I had got up to leave so that I didn't have to listen to any more of this school. "For me this discussion is over, because I'm not leaving here, not away from my friends, I'll stay here and that's that!" I said in a calm tone to my mother who turned my back to walk out the door.My parents said nothing more and I walked quickly downstairs to put on my shoes and my jacket so that I can get away, away from this house, away from this ominous letter.
