Neue Heimat - Neue Liebe?

New home - new love? 5

Konnichiwa !!!!

Here is part 5. Somehow I don't have that much to say about that, except that I personally like it best so far. Doesn't mean much, I know, but at least ^ __ ^ I hope you like it too (woe if not * threaten *)

@ Piccolo09: Thanks for the dear clerks, and sorry that I deleted the others (but in my heart they will continue to exist forever .... did I mention that I'm slightly mistaken? ^ __ ^) and thanks for the free Sponsoring * cuddles * but of course you get the return coach for it. So, everyone, beware: Be sure to read their FFs. They are great. My favorites are "Not in this world" (beautiful story) and "Just a dream?" (I love those inner monologues) but the rest are great too.

@ KasumiTendo: alliteration? Now that you say it occurs to me again ^ __ ^ it's been a while. A year or so .... Alzheimer's is spreading earlier and earlier (or so ... * g *) and thanks for the tip.I took it to heart and tried to go into the feelings more, but I don't really know if I succeeded.

@ kaioshin (w): Thank you !!!! *beam*

@ bulma_17: I hope it doesn't just sound like that * g *

Didn't I forget anyone either? Well then it can go on. Have fun!!!!!!!

Part 5: Moonlight

A few minutes later she was lying in bed trying to fall asleep. But she just couldn't.

"Oh no! Not again," she muttered before pulling back the covers with a sigh and swinging her legs over the edge. She sat on the edge of the bed for a while, trying to organize her thoughts. After the last night she had slept through without any problems, she thought it had stopped. Before that, she had never really slept on the two-week flight to Earth. And now that insomnia seemed to be coming back. Maybe it was because of the recent events, or because of concern for her father and friends?Probably all together. She hopped out of bed on the floor, because it was not only very big, but also very high. She went over the carpet that had been laid in the room to the tall windows, pulled back the curtains and looked out into the night. There were no clouds in the sky so she could see the stars. It occurred to her that there couldn't be any clouds there either. The palace was too high. The stars looked much nicer from a planet than from a spaceship, especially if you were on the run. She let her gaze wander and discovered the moon. She hadn't noticed him before because he was standing very far to her right in the sky. She had to twist a little to see him fully. It wasn't quite the full moon yet. She sighed again. Was it very cold outside? She couldn't sleep after all, so why not find out?

Piccolo hovered just above the floor in his room, meditating.Anyway, he tried. There was such a little problem that it bothered his concentration immensely. Firstly, he was a Namek, and secondly, he had an exceptionally fine hearing. Third, Popo didn't think about going to sleep, but rather fiddled around in the kitchen, and fourthly, he wasn't exactly quiet with pots, pans and the like. Fifthly, it made things even more difficult because everything in this palace echoed and penetrated into Piccolo's room. Finally, annoyed, he gave up. He didn't want to sleep, as with the noise, so instead he went to the window to somehow distract himself. He looked into the darkness for a while. Then he let his gaze wander to the moon. Almost full moon. He grinned at the thought. He wondered what kind of face Vegeta had made when Yajirobi had cut off his tail in a fight. As he was in the middle of a fight, his face darkened. He hoped Son-Goku was not mistaken about their new enemies. And this girl? Didn't she realize they were leading these guys right here? And they were allowed to mess around with it now. Sometimes Son-Goku was just too nice. But that didn't matter at the moment. You couldn't change it anymore. The only thing left was to hope that somehow they could avert the danger. Until now, humanity had always been lucky. Cell, the cyborgs, Vegeta & Co and himself. Another, very loud, clank ripped Piccolo out of his thoughts. He swore softly. Wasn't there a quiet place here? Or couldn't Popo finally go to sleep. Another clang apparently denied this question. He seriously wondered how Dende could sleep calmly with this noise (ear plugs and sleeping pills. Note from Dende). He looked out again. Maybe there was a place after all where he could meditate in peace.

It wasn't as cold as she'd feared. Nyota stood in front of the palace and looked around. She decided to take a walk on the platform. Maybe it got tired of it. Apparently not, as she found out after being around. But at least she'd gotten an overview and killed some time. During the whole time she had stayed as far away from the edge as possible, the sheer endless height of depth still stuck in her memory, but now she dared to move closer to the abyss bit by bit (sorry I couldn't think of a better word). Eventually she even managed to sit on the edge and let her legs dangle in the air. She looked down at the earth through an opening in the cloud cover under the palace. Well, she couldn't see anything. It was pitch dark after all. She could only just make out the lights of a city in the distance. Everything looked so peaceful. It had been the same on their home planet. Before everything was in chaos. She shook off the thought. That would only make it harder for her to sleep. Should she try yoga? She should have thought of that earlier. On the other hand, yoga exercises in a one-man spaceship would certainly not have been very successful. A little further from the edge, she took one of the positions her father had taught her and tried to relax.

On the way out, Piccolo ² by accident² passed the kitchen. However, he resisted the temptation to explain to Popo what he thought of such nightly cooking activities. He went on mumbling to himself (probably something like "Murder is not worth it" ^ _ ^). He stepped out into the night (you can hear this sentence * impressed *), took a deep breath and listened. Silence. There was no sound from the kitchen. Well, please, went. He was about to resume his rudely interrupted meditation when he felt Nyota's aura nearby. He went quietly in the direction from which she was coming. It only took one step before he saw her. She was crouching on the floor with her eyes closed and breathing evenly and somehow it looked like she was sleeping there in this strange position.

Nyota felt how she slowly became calmer and more relaxed, but not more tired. She thought of her homeland as she used to be and loved all of them. Your father, your friends and to ...

"Can you explain to me what you're doing out here so late ?!"

startled, she opened her eyes, lost her balance and fell backwards. When her pulse had calmed down a little, she looked up at Piccolo's angry face, lying on her back. She got up so that she was standing directly in front of him.

"Do you have to sneak up like that? I was scared to death," she grumbled at him instead of answering his question.

When he showed neither a movement nor an answer, let alone an apology (does that even appear in his vocabulary?), She added: “I couldn't sleep. That's why I thought a little fresh air would be good for me. But I can just as easily return the question. What are you doing here?"

"I don't know what that concerns you," he turned around, stopped about 20 meters away, sat cross-legged and began to meditate. Nyota was left speechless. What did he think who he was? Anyway, why was he so bad to her all the time? Irritated, she trudged after him. She stood in front of him, put her hands on her hips and gave him a challenging look. After a few moments had passed, he opened his eyes, which had been closed until then, and his gaze bored into hers.

" What?"

Resolutely she held his piercing gaze.

"Have I done anything to you or why are you treating me so unkindly?"

"Are you seriously asking?"

She nodded hesitantly, what was that supposed to mean? His gaze changed from piercing to mocking.

"Very simple. We have just averted a danger from this planet and thought we had our peace, and then you come with a sack of new problems in tow and burden us with them. What do you think what kind of problem I have?"

She was speechless. That couldn't be serious. She glared at him, then stormed past him towards the palace. Piccolo closed his eyes again, unmoved, and continued meditating.

Nyota sank to the ground on the other side of the platform. How could he say something like that? As if she did it on purpose. She hadn't meant to harm anyone. But damn it. He was right. Not only did she fail her planet and people, she also endangered the people of the earth. She had only just realized that when Piccolo had thrown the fact at her head. Did the others think so too? But they were all very kind to her, with the exception of Vegeta, but as far as she could tell, he was never kind.(Vegeta + friendly = fire + water understood?). She felt bruised. If something went wrong in six months, she would have many lives on her conscience. Even more than already. Valton must have stopped at nothing to find out where she had fled to. Again she wondered if her father was still alive. She felt tears run down her face and drip onto the floor. Nyota didn't try to hold her back. She hadn't cried in a long time and she remembered how her father had told her years ago that crying is important for the balance of the soul. That was after her mother died. So she just sat there, on this floating platform, in the sky of this alien planet and cried.

The next time Piccolo opened his eyes, she was standing in front of him again. However, she looked a little different. You could see clearly, very clearly, that she had been crying. Involuntarily his guilty
