Kagome Higurashi was actually just a normal girl. Until her 15th birthday when she fell through a fountain in medieval Japan and went there with a hanyou, a little kitsune, a perverted monk and a demon hunter in search of the fragments of the Shikon non Tama. Unfortunately, Kagome had accidentally destroyed the jewel and the splinters were now scattered in all directions. The jewel meant a lot of power, which is why not only people murdered for one of these splinters. All other living beings were greedy for power and one very special: Naraku. He wanted to forget his love Kikyou with the jewel and become a real demon, whereby he often spun his intrigues in order to let Inu Yasha go into nirvana, also for other reasons.
It was a normal afternoon for the Higurashi family. Kagome was just packing her things, she had come from the Middle Ages three days ago and now wanted to get back as soon as possible."Bye Mama!", Kagome called and went into the old shrine in which the fountain was. She happily hummed a song, hoping Inuyasha wasn't still mad. A few days ago an admirer of Kagomes, Koga, had visited her and Inuyasha had, as always, overreacted a bit, whereupon Kagome got angry again and went back to her time.

Courageously, Kagome jumped into the well. Soon she would be in the Middle Ages and she could finally see Shippo, Sango and Miroku again and apologize to Inu Yasha.
Kagome peeked up cautiously. It was not uncommon for a demon to be waiting for her there and trying to take the splinters from her. Now that the air was clear, Kagome climbed out of the well and looked around. Inuyasha was nowhere to be seen. Just trees, nothing but old trees. The bone-eating well, as the well was called, was in the middle of a forest. But Kagome just sighed. Hopefully Inuyasha would smell that she was back and would finally come to get her, as he always did, before that idea even hit a demon.Not far from her was actually the Hanyou Inu Yasha, who took in her scent immediately and followed her scent without being asked.

Kagome could hear Inuyasha from afar and immediately ran to meet him. Hopefully he had calmed down again, he didn't have to overreact THAT just because she had talked to Koga. His jealousy was actually sweet, only at such moments it was extremely annoying.
Now she saw him too and happily exclaimed: "Hello, Inuyasha!"
Inuyasha saw her immediately and his eyes widened. He immediately put on an apologetic expression. Kagome, who didn't understand, asked: “What's going on?” “It…” Inuyasha looked away briefly, “I'm… I'm… I'm sorry.” Inuyasha let out a short breath. He'd already thought that Kagome wouldn't talk to him anymore.
Meanwhile, a smile crept onto Kagome's face and she hugged Inuyasha happily. He apologized! She couldn't believe it, usually Inuyasha never apologized to her."Oh, it's okay."
Inuyasha was surprised to see this hug and looked at a point above her forehead in surprise. "You take it so easily?"
"You meant the things with Koga, didn't you?" Kagome pressed, confused. He meant her, didn't he? What else could he mean? Had he done anything? Or ... no, that couldn't be ... He hadn't met with Kikyo, did he ?! "Um ..." Inuyasha began. He really meant Kikyo. What Kagome didn't know yet ... "Yes, exactly, the thing with Koga," said Inuyasha and scratched his head in embarrassment, which naturally made Kagome suspicious. “Inuyasha, please look me in the eye!” If he didn't, she would know, because whenever Inuyasha had met with Kikyo, he couldn't look Kagome in the eye afterwards. “What ?!” Inuyasha reacted almost panic and made no move to follow her request.

Kagome saw this and suddenly her good mood changed to anger, sadness and despair.What should she do? He hadn't really met her, had he? In your absence ?! "Did you meet up with Kikyo again?" Kagome's voice shook. Inuyasha looked up at her, startled. There was no point in hiding the fact that he had met with Kikyo. Kagome had already noticed. "I ... I wanted to tell you, honestly," he protested. Kagome was close to tears. Why did he do this to her? She was already used to it, but still it made her sad again and again when Inu Yasha met with Kikyo. Could she just let him get away with it? But then he would meet her again and again ... Kagome walked silently past Inuyasha, in the direction of the village. She surreptitiously wiped a tear from her eye and hoped he hadn't noticed the tear. The day had started so beautifully, that was so unfair, she thought sadly.
Of course Inuyasha had noticed her reaction and also that she wiped away a tear."Kagome," he whispered softly, but loud enough for her to hear. “I'm really sorry.” His voice was apologetic and a chill spread across Kagome's back. "I only met with Kikyo to get information about Naraku, I swear."
Kagome turned back to Inuyasha and swallowed her tears. "Really?" She asked with a faint breath in her voice.
Inuyasha nodded slightly and his gaze grew gloomy. "Yes, why should I lie to you?" - "I don't know," said Kagome and a drop that fell softly from the sky caught her nose. “It's starting to rain.” Inuyasha nodded again and caught up with her. Then he grabbed her wrist. "Come on, then we should hurry up."
On the way, Kagome immediately asked where Sango, Miroku, Shippo and Kirara were. "They're still on their way," Inuyasha replied and looked around briefly. "But they are fine. I was with them this morning, at the moment they are following a lead on Naraku."That meant that Kagome would have to spend that night alone with Inu Yasha. That worried her a little. Until she remembered that Inu Yasha wasn't Miroku and that this unrest was actually in vain.
Kagome continued to be drawn to the village by Inuyasha. "What is Naraku doing now?" Asked Kagome. "He's gathering strength. Kagura and Kanna are on their way ..." was the short answer.
When they finally got to Kaede's hut, it was already pouring rain. "We can shelter there for the time being," said Inuyasha, before pulling Kagome into the hut and closing the door behind them.
