Destroyed
Fields of Innocence
Destroyed
Fields of Innocence
Kagome rode aimlessly through the forest on her horse. Occasional tears found their way out of her eyes, were caught in the cutting head wind and fell noiselessly to the ground, where they seeped away without a trace, as if they had never existed. But they did. The bitter tears existed and still do. If it was possible at all, the girl's heart was bleeding.
I still remember the world
From the eyes of a child
Slowly those feelings
Were clouded by what I know now
"Wasn't that a little hasty?", Asked Katsu, who was running alongside, again as a wolf and seriously worried about his landlady. After all, she was half dead until a few minutes ago and now that?!? However, he had to acknowledge that she was not so easy to defeat, which once again confirmed his decision to take her as landlady.
Where has my heart gone
An uneven trade for the real world
I want to go back toBelieving in everything and knowing nothing at all
Instead of answering, Kagome's eyes narrowed.
"No, it wasn't. Should he look for me!", She hissed at him without looking at him.
"Yes, yes ... but thanks to his extremely fine olfactory organ he should have found you again in no time, right?" The demon asked.
"Yes, if he really wanted to find me ...", the girl replied flatly. Even Katsu didn't know what to say to that.
"Has the gloomy thoughts ...", he just thought and walked in silence next to Schattenfell.
Meanwhile, Inuyasha did what Kagome did not expect: he looked for her. He held his nose skilfully against the wind and immediately picked up the familiar track. He swept through the forest at an incredible speed, but he was never to find Kagome. Suddenly, out of the blue, a priestess stood in his way.
"KIKYOU?!?", Inu Yasha exclaimed, on the one hand astonished, but also shocked, since he really did not expect that someone, especially not Kikyou, would suddenly appear in his way ...Immediately, Kagome pulled the reins and sat deep in the saddle so that Shadowfell skidded to a halt. Katsu also put his legs into the ground and looked around in disbelief.
"Huh ?!" it came from him. With a jerk, Kagome pulled Shadowfell around. With wide eyes she stared in the direction from which she had heard Inu Yasha's call ... right behind her!
"Kikyou ..." the girl whispered with her head bowed.
"Hey ... tell me ... that scare screw didn't want to kill the Hanyou with you? What if ...?" Katsu started, but he got no further, because Kagome was already racing away on Shadowfell ... away from the direction from which she had heard the scream. Less than three seconds later she was in a clearing where a lonely man stood with a fur boa over his right shoulder. The moment Shadowfur thundered out of the bushes, the man with the long, silver-white hair spun around, his hand on one of the two sword peaks.Kagome did not even notice the man, but reined in her horse in the middle of the clearing and looked back in haste. Tears shimmered in her eyes and she didn't dare to think what could or would have happened. She screwed up her eyes and shook her head to get rid of the tears. Her long black hair waved around her. The sun shone gently on the scene from the sky, but for Kagome it had lost some of its warmth. Everything was just cold and empty inside her and so was the outside world for the girl ...
I still remember the sun
Always warm on my back
Somehow it seems colder now
Suspiciously, Sesshoumaru still kept one hand on the hilt of the sword, but relaxed noticeably.
// That's just this human appendage of my worthless brother ... //, thought the gentleman of the west condescendingly and looked at the girl, who sat with her head hanging on a very noble-looking horse. He frowned.Something about this woman had changed, he could literally smell it, but nothing showed in his trained eyes.
"What happened? My brother screamed. Maybe he's looking for you," said the Lord of the West in a dry tone. Slowly Kagome turned his head to the Daiyoukai and looked him in the eye. One of the youkai's eyelids twitched slightly. What was going on here?!? Soulless eyes looked at him from tearful eye sockets. Dull and broken, without the inner strength that they always exuded.
"Kikyou ...", Kagome almost whispered in response to the answer that least need a fight with Inu Yasha's brother. "She will ... definitely ..." The girl's voice was lost, but no more tears ran down her cheeks, on the contrary: a grin spread across her lips!
"... kill Inuyasha.", She finished her sentence. She had lowered her head again so that her bangs covered her face, but the grin could still be seen.Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow questioningly. What was the matter with this human woman?!? Suddenly she wasn't acting like a human anymore. She didn't seem to mind the possible death of his brother at all. A quality that people usually didn't have. He let his hand slip from the sword hilt and stared at the girl with moderate interest, inwardly cursing himself for that little interest. She was human and point.
"Since when are people like this?" Sesshoumaru wanted to know in a cutting cold voice. “How long have you been so heartless?” Kagome didn't answer right away. She gasped lightly and held her left side. Her face was twisted slightly from the pain.
"The question is not since when, but WHY ...", Kagome replied tiredly.
'Are you insane?!? ', wanted to know a Katsu who was present again. He wasn't standing next to her, but at least he was on her mind. 'This is a bloodthirsty Inu youkai !!!''I know. 'was the girl's simple answer. 'Should he put an end to all of this ...'
Where has my heart gone
Trapped in the eyes of a stranger
I want to go back to
Believing in everything
// I want to go back ... back to the time when I could believe and trust everyone ... I want to go back to the time when I was a normal girl ... I want to go back ... and believe everything ... I want to go back ... and keep my heart from losing my heart ... to ... someone like ... Inuyasha ... // thought Kagome, eyes wet again. Meanwhile, the Lord of the West didn't know what to think of all this and just waited to be on the safe side.
The otherwise experienced rider slowly lost her seat in the saddle. Katsu wanted to talk to her, but she could just hold him back, not even knowing how to do it. And yet she knew one thing: she wanted to be alone.
When you're alone you can't hurt anyone
You're still getting hurt.Yes ... she wanted to be alone ... all was lost ... all hope ...
"The heart dies a slow death.", Kagome began to recite the four lines she had written earlier. Sesshoumaru raised his eyebrows questioningly and even in horror. "It casts hope upon hope, like dead leaves."
// What happened to her?!? //, the Daiyoukai thought, hating himself for it.
"Until at some point there is no more ... no hope ..." Sesshoumaru took a step towards the woman.
"Nothing remains ..." With that she slid sideways from Shadowfur and hit the ground hard, right in front of Sesshoumaru's feet, who looked down at her in confusion. Kagome's breathing was dangerously shallow and erratic, which irritated the Lord of the West even more.

A / N: That was the first chap of my new FF. I hope you liked it! The song I put in is called 'Fields of Innocence' and is sung by Evanescence. Here is the translation of the text:
Evanescence - Fields Of Innocence
I still remember the world
From a child's point of view
Gradually these feelings are overshadowed
From what I know now
Where did my heart go
An unequal trade for the real world
I want to go back there
Believe in everything and know nothing about anything
I still remember the sun
Always warm on my back
Somehow she seems colder to me now ...
Where did my heart go
Caught in a stranger's eyes
I want to go back there
Believe in everything ...
