It was a beautiful summer day and the friends InuYasha, Kagome, Sango and Miroku were on their way to a nearby village to spend the night there. Shortly before they arrived at the village, InuYasha said, “Somebody is coming.” The friends looked around but could not see anything. Suddenly something purple shot past Inuyasha. Shortly afterwards he could see what it was. "A demon," said Kagome. "No, a half-demon.", InuYasha said. "This time you won't escape me," said the stranger. Shortly afterwards, metal could be heard slamming together. But it wasn't our friends who were attacked, it was a demon. Which was then killed by a sword blade in the next instant. InuYasha, Kagome, Sango and Miroku approached the half demon who turned his back on them. Suddenly the half-demon turned. "InuYasha. You weren't quite right. It's not a half-demon, it's a half-demoness.", Sango said."Yes, you are right. I am a half-demon," said the stranger. "Aha. I'm Kagome. This is Sango, the Miroku and the InuYasha." Said Kagome. While she said that she pointed to Sango, then to Miroku and finally to InuYasha. "Okay. My name is Ayumi.", Said the half demon. "Will you come with us to a village? We can talk more there," said Sango. Ayumi just nodded silently and followed the others into a village. They were warmly welcomed and given a hut where they could spend the night.
