Chapter 2: The search
Jaden has meanwhile arrived at his regular place and is looking out for more. He just can't get Alexis' face out of his head. The wind whistles past Jaden's ear, he leans back and closes his eyes. Jaden begins to wonder how best to tell Alexis that he fell in love with her. Jaden worries about how she will react to his feelings and whether she will reciprocate them. Questions about questions, answers and reactions shoot through Jaden's head. He tries to work through every possible process and to adapt to every possible situation. But after a while Jaden has to realize, to his regret, that he can never or could never prepare for anything. Jaden then decides that he will do it like dueling. He will just react spontaneously and listen to his feelings. Jaden hopes that, like dueling, he will get it right and that this is the right way to go.But the thought makes him very nervous. But withdrawal is not considered. Jaden jumps up, grabs the back of her head with her right hand and laughs, saying ... "Now my head is going to be much better!". Shortly after he says that, Kuriboh emerges again from the Nix and smiles at Jaden. When Jaden sees Kuriboh, he says to him ... "If you show up, everything will be fine! I'm sure of that! I can do it!". Kuriboh disappears again with a wink and Jaden decides to get Alexis a flower. The only problem is, where can he get such a beautiful flower that Alexis would like too. After thinking for a moment, Jaden can only think of one place where you can get this flower. Only from Crowler's private garden, of course! Jaden immediately goes there with a big smile.
Because of his great joy at his plan, Jaden does not notice that he was being watched by the shadow again. After Jaden disappears from his field of vision, he withdraws with an evil laugh.After Alexis ran out of the classroom and crossed the hallway on the floor, she met Mindy and Jasmine, who were also not in class. The two of course see Alexis running hectically and wonder about it. Jasmine calls immediately ... "Hi Alexis! Stand still! Where are you going?". When Alexis hears Jasmine's calling, she stops her sprint and walks over to them. "What's going on? Why are you walking around here like a bee stung?" Asks Mindy Alexis. "I'm worried about Jaden. He wasn't in class earlier and I have a bad feeling about it now!" Alexis answers her. "But that's nothing unusual?", Mindy replies to her. "Yes! That has happened several times.", Jasmine adds. "Yes! But Syrus was there and the two of them hang out together all the time.", Alexis continues. "I see!", Mindy then. "I was right in the fact that you feel more for Jaden than just friendship!", Jasmine says shortly after Mindy with a smile and a wink. Alexis then blushes slightly. She bows her head and answers ..." I don't have time for that now! Will you help me with my search? "." Of course we do! ", you Mindy & Jasmine answer with a smile." Thank you both! I can't ask for better best friends! ", Alexis thanks both of them. They smile at each other and start looking.
After a complete search of the building, they quickly find out that Jaden is not here. The three decide that they'd better keep looking for him outside. A few meters before the exit they meet Atticus. When Atticus sees the three running towards him, he calls out happily ... "Hi Lexi! My beloved sister! Where are you going?". Atticus expects his sister to hug, but Alexis just slows down a little and answers him ... "Sorry! I'm in a hurry!". Alexis kisses her brother on the cheek and keeps walking.Jasmine only greets Atticus with a wink and continues walking. Atticus looks after the two in astonishment ... "What's the matter with them?" He asks himself. Mindy, who is a bit behind, stops in front of Atticus and says ... "We're looking for Jaden! Alexis is very worried about him. We'll definitely see you later. Bye!" Mindy is about to run on when Atticus asks, worried ... "Are the shadow riders back?". Mindy starts smiling, winks at Atticus and replies ... "I guess Alexis just wants to see Jaden! Everything is probably okay!". Mindy says goodbye to Atticus and keeps walking to catch up with Alexis & Jasmine.
Atticus' worried face changes into a happy one again and he says ... "I wasn't wrong! I know my sister. ... If the two don't get together, the world will end!". Atticus starts to laugh and shortly afterwards a huge bunch of girls rushes towards him."Always calm ladies! I am there for everyone!" ...
Alexis & Jasmine are already a few meters away from the building before they realize that Mindy is missing. The two of them stop and turn towards the building. "Where is she?" Asks Jasmine. "I'd like to know that too!" Alexis replies. The two wait a few minutes and Mindy finally reappears in their field of vision in the full sprint. Alexis & Jasmine look at each other laughing and call Mindy over ... "You're as fast as a snail again today!". When Mindy has caught up with the two of them again, she first apologizes to them ... "Sorry, you two!". "It's best if we split up. The area is large," says Alexis. Mindy & Jasmine nod in agreement and Mindy asks ... "Where should we start?". "I'm going to Jaden's house. Jasmine, you go to the cliffs. Jaden hangs out there a lot and you Mindy, you're looking for him in the duel arena.", Alexis answers her.The three nod one more time in agreement. "We'll meet here again in 30 minutes. Ok?" Jasmine replies. Each of them makes their way to their target area.
Shortly after the three of them split up, Jaden passes the girls' meeting point. Of course, he still has a big smile on his face. But not knowing that a few seconds ago Alexis was standing where he was just passing ...
