Kai's letzten Minuten

The last moments

Kai's last minutes

When I opened my eyes again, I was still in the same place where I had previously thought, 'here' my life would end. I was still leaning against the wall and staring at my legs. Only later did I notice my splintered blade, Dranzer lying next to me. I looked for the bit ship to see if it might have survived it. Unfortunately, I was less successful in doing this. Dranzer had left me, he had sacrificed his life for me. My faithful phoenix was gone forever. I hit the wall in frustration. I had the feeling my bones were broken on the impact against the hard concrete, because a crack could be heard and a stabbing pain ran through my entire arm. I could still hear the blades clash in a hot match. Apparently Tyson had taken the Bey arena apart again when there was a loud clang. Only now did I notice that I was sitting in something wet.I looked at the floor and could just see in the dim light what it was. A large pool of blood had collected under me. I jumped up, shocked at the sight. It was only now that all of my limbs began to ache. I looked down at myself and saw unstoppable rivers of blood running down my body, torn clothes and some splinters of my beloved Dranzer. Tears welled up in my eyes, not because of the unbearable pain but because of the terrible thought of never being able to blade again. Without Dranzer I felt weak, unable to do anything successfully. As if my heart had been torn from me, an important part of my body had been taken. I tried to walk down the aisle away from the awful place. I leaned against the wall so I wouldn't lose my balance while running. After maybe just 10 meters I had to admit defeat. The pain and the effort had won.I slowly slid down the wall to the floor. On impact I was briefly breathless. When I looked back the short distance that I had already walked, I saw several small puddles of blood that were created when I had to take a quick breather. I closed my eyes to give them a brief moment of relaxation as well. I wasn't sure what to do now. Sit down and wait for help? No, I would never do that. I heard steps running right in my direction and getting louder. Laughter echoed at me from the walls. I slowly realized that these people, no matter how many, would discover me. Suddenly a girl shouted "Hey, look, someone has spread ketchup on the floor!" The steps retreated again and it became quiet around me. My muscles relaxed again after the panic state. My deep breaths in and out turned into a halting gasp.My body was just hurting more now than before and I had the feeling that now more blood would flow from my wounds. I got colder and started shaking badly. At least my blood warmed me a little. I tore the rest of my scarf into even strips, which I tied around the continually bleeding wounds. I had already suffered so much blood loss that I could barely breathe. All my strength was at the end. There was nothing I could do but hope for help. I didn't mean to die. Not where Dranzer had sacrificed himself, otherwise he would have died in vain. I opened my eyes, but could only see everything blurred because of the tears. Voices could be heard again. I knew these voices. It was Tyson's triumphant cheer. I was happy that he won. Then panic built up again in me. I picked myself up in pain and started running as fast as I could, away from the voices.I didn't want him to see me like that. Any other person should have found me except him. He should never worry about me. The steps were suddenly silent. I stopped too. I couldn't breathe anymore, couldn't think. My whole head was pounding and all my muscles ached. I felt like everything in my body was torn apart. Then I heard something metallic fall on the floor. They were individual parts of my Dranzer. A loud shout came from Tyson's throat. “KAI!” As Tyson started to run, I heard his shoes smack through the puddles of blood. "Kai" the voice was just right behind me. I felt how he wanted to put his hand on my shoulder. I wanted to run away, avoid him, just move away from him. But I couldn't go on, everything hurt and was paralyzed. I thought "it's all over" I couldn't do anything anymore. I closed my eyes and let my body do what it wanted. In this case, he just wanted to hit the ground. So I collapsed. My head hit the ground hard. And the last thing I saw was Tyson's face. He stared at me in disbelief and took me in his arms. Max ran away and shouted "I'll get help" that was too late now. Tyson sobbed. He looked at me and salty tears fell on my face. He stuttered, "No, Kai, don't leave me! Please don't leave me!" "It's too late for that." I croaked. I closed my eyes again, my features slackened, my head fell back and Tyson screamed “NO!” Then it was all over. My body stopped working and it let me go.
