Jaden Yuki was talking to his best friend Syrus Truesdale. The conversation almost degenerated into an argument, if the two weren't close friends it would have been one for a long time.
"Nothing 'is good'! You finally have to apply for it!" Syrus shouted loudly, but not roaring. Jaden replied again with "Okay, okay, okay, I'll apply for it. May I ask what you complain about a 'Yes, it's good'?" Syrus seemed to react quite angry. "You always say 'It's good', 'Of course', 'Okay, okay' - And when did you ever do something? SIGN UP! I'll accompany you to safety."
Syrus had unbuckled Jaden from his belt of excuses.
"I'm going to lose anyway. Why participate in the bigDuel Monsters Academies World Championshipwhen I know I'm losing?" Syrus made a pose that looked like a badly played hero pose: "You are all around known for your overpowering dueling skills, are so feared in the top dueling clubs, world champions are dreading you - why should you lose? "“Because maybe I'm only 14?” Jaden didn't seem to be impressed. He turned away. "Maybe if I'm an Obelisk Blue."
Syrus looked visibly bent. "Oh come on. It can't be that bad. You can do it!"
But Jaden was nowhere to be seen. That was not surprising either, because the moon shone brightly over the horizon and spread its light over the great dueling academy. Syrus began to yawn, realized how tired he was, and made his way to the Ra Yellow dormitories.
