Inuyasha sat on the sacred tree and looked up at the sky. Kagome was back in her time for 3 days as she had said.
That was yesterday. So it would be a while before he could get her.
"Inuyasha! Do you want to have breakfast with us or not?", The little kitsune called up to him. "I'm coming," the Hanyo skilfully jumped from the tree.
It's only morning, he thought with a sigh and followed Shippo to the hut.

In modern times a young girl paced restlessly up and down the house.
Here and there she put something behind a flower pot or under a pillow. At some point the basket she was holding was empty.
So now I can get Inuyasha!, she was happy and ran excitedly from the house to a little scream that was on the premises.
There she hopped into the well. When she came out on the other side, she quickly climbed out of the well.She ran quickly to a small village which was not far away.
"Inu Yasha!", She shouted joyfully and stormed into a small hut in which a monk, a demon hunter, a miko, a demon cat, a small fox demon and a half demon were sitting.
"Kagome ?!" asked the last confused. "What are you doing here? I thought I can get you tomorrow!"
Kagome just grinned and grabbed the red sleeve of his robe. "It doesn't matter now. Come with me first. I have something for you in my time," she beamed all over her face and the rest of the people present looked at each other questioningly.
The time traveler did not miss this, of course, and that is why she now turned to her friends. "I'll tell you everything afterwards. But it's a surprise for Inuyasha. We'll be back soon. But not alone," she winked at them before pulling Inuyasha out of the hut completely.
"Um, did you have to understand that now?" Shippo looked after them, confused. "No," a unanimous shake of the head from the others was a clear answer."Kagome, what's the point?" Inuyasha asked her when they were back in their time.
"Well, Inuyasha. I didn't have to go to school, because it's vacation-" "What ?! You didn't have to go back at all? But why did you go then?" The Hanyo interrupted her angrily.
Kagome took a deep breath so as not to lose her patience.
"Today is Easter. And it is an old custom that parents hide Easter eggs for their children and the children then have to look for them. And now I have hidden Easter eggs for you that you have to look for," she grinned. Inuyasha looked at her. He was flabbergasted.
Easter. He had never heard of that before. What should he be looking for? Eggs? What good should it do him to look for eggs?
Kagome, of course, did not hide his doubtful face.
Great, Kagome! What did you think? Now he thinks you're totally nuts. Maybe the idea wasn't as good as I initially thought ... Great, what now?
She hung her head a little sadly.That, in turn, did not escape Inuyasha.
"Hey Kagome, what is it now? Should I look for any eggs or not?", He tried to sound a bit bored and disinterested, but the blush that shot in his face made him turn away from Kagome, so she didn't get to watch this.

Kagome was happy that he wanted to look now after all. She nodded happily and pulled him out to the large square in front of the shrine.
"So, Inuyasha, I have hidden Easter eggs all over our property. Also in the house. You have to look for them and bring them here. But woe betide you can not find them all," she explained to him and had to laugh at the last sentence.
"Don't worry, with my good nose I'll find everyone," Inuyasha jumped off confidently.
Kagome sat on a bench, confident of victory.If he only knew. After all, I sprayed some perfume everywhere. So his nose won't help him that much for the time being. Fortunately, at least I wrote everything down.I remember that earlier in the summer I happened to find an egg while playing that mom had forgotten.
She literally enjoyed herself on the bench and waited for Inuyasha to come back with the first finds.
Her mother, grandpa and Sota were gone. They went on a trip because the shrine was closed for once today.

"Kagome!", A bad-tempered Inuyasha had appeared in front of her. "What?" She asked innocently.
"That's really nasty! Why did you spray all this smelly stuff? I hardly smell the chocolate!" He nagged and held a basket full of eggs under her nose.
"What is wrong with you? You've already found one," she grinned, took it from him and sent him off again.

Inuyasha decided to look around the house first.
What's that all about? Looking for Easter eggs ... tse, looking for Naraku is more important!, he thought, and went into Kagome's room.
As always, it was tidied up there.He quickly found the baskets there too. In one was an Easter bunny.
Rabbits too? I thought I should look for eggs ... there is also a bird with ... oh man, sometimes I'm really happy not to live in this complicated time ...
He sighed, opened the window, and was back downstairs with Kagome in a skilful leap.

Throughout the morning Inuyasha looked in every corner of the house, behind every bush and on every tree.
When the clock turned 12 he had found everything.
"You see? I said you'd find everything," Kagome praised him.
"Yes, great, but I would have smelled better had it not taken so long," Inuyasha grumbled and played around with a small egg.
Kagome smiled, took it from his hand and unwrapped the paper.
"Open your mouth", she held the egg in front of his mouth. Somewhat irritated, Inuyasha obeyed and he already had the egg in his mouth.
"Tastes really good," he immediately reached for the next one.
"It's nice that you like it, but that's not all for you.Sango and the others should also benefit, "she explained to him.
"What? I look here all morning and they are allowed to eat all of that?", He looked at her questioningly. His face showed that he didn't quite agree with that.
Kagome pushed around.
"I also have something just for you ..." she whispered.
"Just for me?" Inuyasha asked and realized that she was embarrassed because she turned away with a red head.
She nodded barely noticeably and pushed a small basket into his hand.
A little confused, the Hanyo took it from her.
A little rabbit sat in the basket. But not just any rabbit, no, because the rabbit had a red coat around and over his ears, you could say a white "wig". On this in turn 2 small pointed triangles were glued, which Inuyasha identified as ears.
That should be me!, he realized with astonishment.
“Kagome?” Slowly she turned to him, but she didn't dare look into his face.Inuyasha gently put his hands under her chin and gently forced her to look into his face.
Inuyasha, what ..?, she just thought and looked confused into his eyes. The behavior didn't match her Hanyo at all.
"Thank you Kagome, nobody has done that for me before," he looked at her lovingly and Kagome saw something in his eyes that she had never seen before.
Gratitude. Pure gratitude shone from his eyes.

"Inu Yasha ...", she got no further. She sank more and more into the golden yellow eyes that looked at her so full of love.
And then the time had come. Their heads drew closer and closer until their lips touched gently.
But as quickly as their lips met, as quickly they parted again.
"Inuyasha ... I li-", but she was interrupted. "Psst, don't say anything now. Please," he smiled gently at her and then pulled her into a hug.
A small tear rolled down Kagome's cheek. Inuyasha, of course, had a good nose and that was not hidden from view."What is it?" He asked her therefore. "Nothing, I'm just happy," she admitted and snuggled into his arms a little longer.

When they broke up again, Kagome looked into his beautiful eyes one more time and now said what she had wanted to say for so long.
"Inuyasha, I love you!"
"Kagome, I love you too," he said softly and pressed his lips to hers again.
Kagome happily returned his kiss.

They sat arm in arm on the bench for a while before going back to writing.
After all, her friends should also have something from Easter ...
