In order to avoid confusion from the start, I will write a small introduction why there are so many families within the pack.

The pack consists of displaced wolves and wolves that have separated from their pack or have lost it. These have come together in the Forgotten Forest and swore to take in every wolf (which is why they also take Trino, although many are against it).

Lina's mother is one of them too, but has lived a bit apart since Lina was born.
