Fanfic: Angst um Liebe

Chapter: last chapter

so now, after a long time, here comes the end. I apologize for the long wait but I couldn't think of anything. I hope you like it ^^

"What happened?" She then asked in her weak voice.
"You ... you got hit by a car and you've been in a coma for 2 weeks now." I answered her. I couldn't take my eyes off her. A feeling of happiness overwhelmed me and now I smiled even more. I couldn't believe my luck.
"Do you remember?" I asked her then.
"Yes ... but only dark. Were you there too? I saw you somehow and suddenly ... there was a hell of a pain. I ..."
"Yeah, I was there too. I ... I'm sorry. It's all my fault."
At these words she looked at me perplexed.
"Your fault? How is that? You are not even allowed to drive a car?"
"Yes, I know. But if I hadn't been there, you wouldn't have run into the street and then you wouldn't have been hit.But I'll explain that to you later. You have to rest first. I'll get the doctor and then ... "
But before I could get up from the bed, she grabbed my hand and looked at me very seriously. I had never seen her like this before. She had just awakened from the coma, but she radiated an uncanny strength again. I couldn't help but look back speechless.
"You are not to blame, understand? I don't want you to tell yourself something like that.", She said now with a powerful voice.
I smiled again and looked down at the floor.
"I'll get the doctor first," I replied and released myself from her delicate grip.
A few minutes later the doctor and a nurse arrived. The medic asked me to wait outside, whereupon I sat on one of the uncomfortable looking chairs that stood a few meters from kazuha's room. 'What are you doing with her now? 'I wondered the whole time until about 15 minutes later Kazuha's parents came up to me.Her mother had tears in her eyes that reminded me of Kazuha's look during the accident. She said to me:
"Heiji, is it true that my little one woke up again? How did it happen and when and ..."
"Darling, one by one. Maybe Heiji knows just as little as we do.", Mr. Tomaya interrupted his wife, but I contradicted him:
"Yes, I know something. I was there when she woke up. But the doctor is currently with her and examines her."
At that moment I was totally happy to be able to bring you this good news, but immediately afterwards I almost regretted it, because Mrs. Tomaya started to sob even more and hugged me with joy. I wasn't sure what to do, so I put my left arm lightly on her back and tried to calm her down. A little later she sat down on the chair next to me and apologized. I made it clear to her with a smile that it was okay and handed her a handkerchief. At the same time, the door to Kazuha's hospital room slid on the doctor appeared. He came up to us with his clipboard and asked:
"Are you Kazuha Tomaya's parents?"
"Yeah, exactly, what about her? Is she okay?" Asked Kazuha's mother excitedly.
"According to the circumstances, she is doing well. She is still a little weak, which is normal after a coma, but she is quite happy to tell stories and would like to see her now."
A big smile came on the faces of the parents and I couldn't suppress my joy either and then followed the others back to Kazuha.
In the days that followed, my classmates and some teachers noticed that my mood was a little happier again and that my participation in school was getting better again. My friends could already guess what it was, but some also asked about it. I just said it was a beautiful day and I was happy about it. But a certain other person, who never leaves me satisfied and is a very pushy being, was not satisfied with this statement and kept digging."Heiji, you never have that kind of mood swings. Something very nice must have happened in your family. You can tell me, after all, your family will soon be part of my family." She had the last part a little quieter I said, but I understood him anyway, so I turned around a little confused.
"What do you mean by that?"
Her face turned a little red, lightly grabbed the front part of my jacket with her hands and looked me in the eye with a slightly seductive look. The other students in the school yard were already looking a bit puzzled, which is why I immediately tried to break free, but she didn't let go and said:
"Well, if we get together at some point later on, at some point I'll be related to your family and you to mine."
"Um, Kisumi, I think you misunderstood something. I want to ..." I tried to explain, but I was interrupted by a beautiful voice from close by:"That doesn't exist. I've been away for a few weeks. Something is looming without my noticing anything."
Startled, I turned around and saw Kazuha behind me, who had crossed her arms and looked a little angry. But then her features relaxed and she smiled a mischievous smile:
"Kazuha, it's not what it looks like. She just ..." I said while I pulled away from Kisumi and went to my best friend.
"It's okay. I know."
Then she put her right hand to the side of her mouth and whispered:
"I do, that you need me more than they do."
My eyes widened and I realized that the temperature in my head was rising a little higher:
"Uh, what do you mean? How do you want to know that?" I pretended to be a bit stupid.
Now her little smile disappeared and she looked at the floor, which immediately made me smile a little.
"Well ... I ... thought that you ... said that to me ... when I was ... in the hospital ... um ... maybe I only dreamed it.Forget it. I just wanted to pick you up. We can go there now, right? "
She looked up shyly and saw that I was looking at her with my head tilted to one side.
"You heard what I said to you in the hospital? But you were in a coma, how could you hear that?" A short moment later, something came up to me, to which I reacted a little startled and swallowed:
"Did you ... did you notice ... what I ... did ...?"
The other students now gathered around us a little more closely, which I didn't really notice at that moment. Kazuha was now looking at me with wide eyes. But a moment later she came up to me thoughtfully. I reflexively took a step back, but she followed this step, whereupon I stopped. Somehow I had an inkling that this moment would totally change our lives. I face moved towards me and I tried to relax, which was very difficult for me to do."Was it like that?" She asked and gave me a gentle kiss on the cheek.
I smiled at her and answered quietly:
"Yes, roughly. But actually I wanted to do it differently."
I gently cupped her hips and pulled her a little closer to me. The urge that I already felt in the hospital I wanted to put into practice and so I put my lips on hers. Immediately I noticed that she was returning my kiss and I became a little braver and more challenging. I enjoyed this moment so much that I didn't even notice the background noise that was building up around us. Some cheered, some girls cried, and boys cursed.
Because I realized in the last few weeks how much she actually meant to me, the only thing that counted was that I could finally confess my love to her and we became a couple.
