The lonely bounty hunter

Sometimes you get into situations where it is not easy to choose one way or another. This is also the case with Kai, who is surrounded by a dark secret. Kai lives in Tokyo, alone and hardly has any friends until he meets Thiela. . .

It was a beautiful early summer morning when Thiela was woken up by her mother while she was deep asleep. "Come on Thiela, it's already 11.00, get up, otherwise you will overslept half the day again," said her mother, rocking Thiela gently back and forth. After about twenty gentle movements, Thiela was persuaded to get up and at least eat something. Thiela was not an early riser and so she ate her breakfast with sleepily narrowed eyes. After she had eaten and got dressed, she was greeted by her mother with the words: "So my little one, take a morning walk first, it will get your circulation going!" thrown out of the house. She smiled and closed the door.
Now Thiela only had two options, either she waited here and should have lied to her mother, or she takes the walk and is honest. Since Thiela has always been a sincere and truth-loving girl, the decision was not overly difficult for her.
Thiela walked through the large, green park in Tokyo, where all the flowers were in full bloom. It was unbelievable, everything smelled of roses, lilacs, tulips and the meadows, bushes and trees were brightly colored by the sea of flowers. This sight made Thiela happy, she had never seen such beautiful flowers. She absolutely had to show that to her mother, because she, too, loved flowers more than anything.
Only now did Thiela see all the people who were armed with blankets and picnic baskets sitting on the meadows and enjoying nature. Most of them were twos and cuddled like crazy. Thiela was the only one in her class to have no boyfriend and was sometimes a little jealous. The same applies to the sight of these couples. Thiela sat down on an empty bench and watched the couple at first out of jealousy, but then with pleasure.
Suddenly she noticed a lonely boy who, like herself, was sitting on a bench to her left, watching the couple. Thiela wondered why this boy is sitting here and watching people like herself. She hesitated if she should go over to him and ask her in a cheesy way: "Tell me ... what are you sitting here alone?". Somehow she was too embarrassed, after all, she is already 15.
After about 10 minutes she pulled herself up, went to him and stood a little next to the bench on which he was sitting. At first the boy didn't notice anything, but then suddenly he was startled at the sight of her. He put one hand to his chest, breathing heavily. He was visibly shocked and almost fell off the bench. The two looked at each other for a while and slowly the boy wondered why he was coming. "Uh ... Hello, should I find out why you are staring at me like that?" He asked a little gruffly. Only now did Thiela notice that she had been staring at him the whole time. She turned bright red and suddenly sat down next to the boy on the bench, so if she couldn't stand in shame. It didn't look bad and slipped to the side.
Both looked past each other embarrassed and didn't quite know what was happening to them. The boy looked over at her out of the corner of his eye and saw a girl with a head as red as a tomato. After a few moments of reflection, he broke the silence between them. "I asked you something, but that doesn't matter anyway," he said, somewhat disappointed. "By the way, I'm Kai, Kai Todô ... and may I find out who you are?"Kai looked questioningly at the astonished Thiela." Um. . . uh, my name is Thiela Ivanov, I'm 15 years old and live in the - "" Hey, hey! I didn't want to know that much, "Kai interrupted her, but still with an ambiguous smile. Kai was amazed and overwhelmed at the same time. He had never met a girl like this. She was extraordinarily pretty with her red long hair and her sweet one , black miniskirt, with the tight top and the cool shoes. But what Kai noticed the most were her safir blue eyes. They beamed at him and apparently had already cast a spell over him. He looked deeply, deeply into her eyes and seemed absent.
Suddenly Kai noticed that someone in the park got up from his blanket and packed his things. A haunting feeling went through Kai "Shit, why does he have to go now ?!" Kai thought desperately.
Thiela hadn't noticed anything so far, but now looked in the direction in which Kai had directed his gaze. There was only one man who was packing his things and there was nothing left far and wide. . . She looked again at Kai, who suddenly made such an uncomfortable face. "Tell me ... why I am so pushy, I wanted to ask you why you are sitting around here alone?" Kai showed no reaction and just stared in the direction of the man, who was almost done admitting.
Thiela was about to start a new question when Kai suddenly got up. "It's getting late, uh... And I have to go now," said Kai and pointedly looked at his watch. Thiela didn't look bad, she hadn't expected that at all. Now she inevitably had to admit that Kai was exactly her type. He was really cute, the way he looked at her so embarrassed. Somehow she didn't really want him to leave now. She would have loved to just hold onto his long, black coat, but that's not possible. Why did he even wear a black coat in the summer?Kai was about to go when Thiela grabbed his shoulder. Kai looked a little surprised, took Thiela's hand and pushed it off his shoulder. "Excuse me Kai, but where do you have to go? Maybe we can go a bit together...", Thiela said, a little embarrassed. Kai looked hesitantly at the meadow, but what was that? The man who got up so suddenly was no longer there. Now Kai was a bit hectic, he looked to the left and to the right and tried unobtrusively to find the man. "Uh well, that's very bad right now. I don't think you want to go where I have to go," said Kai with a slightly mocking expression and continued to look around at the man. Thiela did not allow herself to be dissuaded from her plan.
Kai now ran defiantly towards the city center, always followed by Thiela. "You see, we can go a bit together," said Thiela happily. They both ran together for a while and Kai didn't seem to know where he was going.Thiela talked to him all the way and Kai listened in silence. But out of nowhere, Kai stopped and looked down a side street, he looked a bit nervous. "Well, I have to go this way now, I don't know where you have to go," said Kai, still staring into the side street.
Now the moment of farewell had come, which Thiela had tried to push out as long as possible. She just stood there looking depressed at the sidewalk. "Well, take care then," said Kai after he hadn't received an answer from Thiela. Before Kai could even take a step, a piece of paper was held in front of his nose with a phone number with the name: Thiela Ivanov and a small smiley on it. As unforeseen as Thiela had held the note in front of his nose, so suddenly she went back in the direction from which they had come. She looked at her watch and only now did she see that she had been on the road for an hour and a half.Hopefully her mother wasn't too worried. Thiela ran through the park again, which was still well attended. She passed several couples and on the way back thought only of the boy in the black coat.
Kai went into the side street and seemed to be following someone. It was pretty dark in this alley, you couldn't see your hand in front of your eyes. Nevertheless, Kai went deeper and deeper into the alley. As if out of nowhere, Kai disappeared behind a dumpster and looked furtively out from behind it.
Behind a dark corner the man from the park stood waiting and masked. Kai had followed him and now the perfect moment had come to strike. Kai walked slowly towards the man and when this Kai could see, he only made a face contorted with fear. . .
Thiela had meanwhile arrived at her front door and was looking for her key when the door was opened for her. Her mother stood in front of her, not as Thiela had expected, with a carefree face and smiled sympathetically at her."Tell me, you took a long morning walk. Did you meet someone?" She asked ironically. She looked challengingly at Thiela, somehow she had a clue. Her daughter wasn't away that long, especially not for a morning walk. Thiela walked silently past her mother into the kitchen and sat down at the kitchen table. Her mother closed the door, ran to the stove and started cooking something. Besides, she looked at her daughter, but didn't ask again. Thiela got up again, took a glass of orange juice and was about to disappear into her room when her mother was still looking into the saucepans: "I'm going to make lunch now, so don't do anything special, okay?" Thiela stopped, but didn't look at her mother, but at her glass: "I didn't meet anyone, yes ?! I was just outside a little longer," said Thiela pissed off. She ran out of the kitchen and slammed the door behind her.Her mother looked after her in dismay. "Well, that's how young people are," thought her mother, shaking her head.
Thiela sat on the sofa in her room and looked out the window. It was a beautiful blue sky, you couldn't see a single cloud, only a few birds circled. Thiela lay stretched out on her sofa and could only think of the boy in the black coat.
After lunch with her mother, she spent the rest of the day reading books. Thiela read a lot and many books, but only when she felt like it. Her mother took it all patiently and tried as best she could not to disturb her. Then the next day came.
Thiela woke up earlier than usual and surprised her mother more than at Christmas. Nor did she really know why
