Die Schlafwandlerin

Wenn Albträume wahr werden

Chapter 4

So there is the next chapter after a very long time
Sorry that it took so long, but I was wondering if I should continue writing at all, as some of them know the story, because as I mentioned it comes from a Fear Street book and that bothered some.
I will and have not copied the book literally, I have changed a few things and will continue to do so.
But enough talked about ^^
Thank you for your dear clerk on the last chapter!
And now enjoy reading

The Sleepwalker - When Nightmares Come True

Chapter 4

"You are really good at cooking, Sakura. The food is excellent."
"Thank you, Mrs. Uchiha. I'm glad you like it."
The sun's rays fell through the window by the kitchen sink when Sakura was washing the dishes. She hurried because she wanted to finish the walk by the lake as soon as possible and Mrs.Uchiha could then read aloud again. She hoped the book could help her forget the terrible incident last night.
If only she could talk to someone about it! That would definitely help her and take away some of the fear she felt when she thought about it. But when she got up this morning, her mother was already in the hospital, Gaara's mother said he was still sleeping and Ino hadn't answered the phone either.
Sakura wonders if she has walked around in her sleep before? Did she go down the stairs to the front door with her eyes open and closed and arms outstretched, like walking through the garden in a bad horror movie?
Sakura had so many questions to answer. She had never wandered in her sleep before, she was sure of that. Then why did she do it last night? And where did she actually want to go? What would have happened if she hadn't suddenly woken up?Would she have just kept walking?

This dream scared her. Again and again she reluctantly went through it in her mind. She found no meaning in this dream. Why did she run across the lake? Did she want to meet someone? Or did she flee from someone? Who was it who was watching them from the bank?
Could the dream make her sleepwalk? Was there a connection between dreaming and sleepwalking?
She couldn't help it, she just had to talk to someone about it.
"Mrs. Uchiha? Do you happen to know anything about sleepwalking?"
The older woman was sitting on the sofa and petting her black cat. She didn't seem to have heard the question at all. Then she looked up, as did the cat. "I'm sorry, Sakura. What did you just say?"
"I ... um, I just wanted to know if you know anything about sleepwalking?" Sakura replied.
Mrs. Uchiha was not at all surprised by this question. "Sleepwalking? Yes," she said, looking down at Kumiko, "that's very mysterious.Very funny ... "She picked up her cat, sat it on her lap and started playing with it.
Sakura dried her hands on a kitchen towel. She was now determined not to tell Mrs. Uchiha about the incident from the previous night.
“Let's go for a walk by the lake a little later today,” the old lady asked and made herself comfortable on the sofa, “I'd like to start reading.” Kumiko purred, meowed briefly, and jumped up from Mrs. Uchiha's lap the carpet and curled up there.

After lunch at Mrs. Uchiha's, Sakura decided to go to Ino as soon as possible and tell her about the last night. Before that, however, she would have to go shopping for her mother, who was on the late shift.
She was overcome with great relief when she left Mrs. Uchiha's house, even if the day was actually quite pleasant. Mrs. Uchiha had been very nice and hadn't noticed how absent Sakura was, at least she pretended to be.After Sakura was reading the middle of the chapter, Mrs. Uchiha fell asleep and Sakura read on quietly, although she was again following her thoughts and had no idea what she was reading.
The sun was just setting and Sakura had to walk past the cemetery whether she wanted to or not to get to the bus stop. 2 blonde children, a girl and a boy, who were not older than 8, played behind the cemetery wall and laughed.
Why did the children play in the cemetery? When she was in elementary school, boys in her class told lots of gruesome stories about this cemetery. Didn't the children know these stories? The stories still haunted Sakura to this day and sometimes gave her an icy chill.
She was about to speak to the children, but suddenly they were gone. Nowhere was there a trace of them to be seen. She looked over the wall. Maybe they were just hiding, but there was absolutely nothing to be seen.Sakura decided to go further. As she crossed the street, a man came out of his house across the street and slammed the door hard behind him. It seemed to Sakura as if the man was watching her and asking her with his gaze what she was doing here. Sakura turned to be on the safe side, but there was no one else to stare at. She turned back to the man and noticed that he had an angry expression on his face and was walking towards her with long strides. "Hey!" He finally shouted angrily.
Sakura was uncomfortable with the guy and somehow got scared. She was sure she had never seen this man before, but he pretended to recognize her again. Sakura decided to ignore his call, turned and started running. "Hey! Stop right now!"
She was afraid, her breathing and heartbeat were irregular. She didn't dare to turn around to see if the man was still following her.Only when she got to the bus stop did she gasp and turn around.
Nothing. There was nobody there. The man was gone, so he didn't run after her.

Sakura was relieved and let out a breath. Once again she wondered if she didn't know him after all, but she would recognize a man who is at least 2 meters tall and looked as dangerous as him.
After a few minutes the bus arrived. Sakura got in, paid for her ticket and, exhausted but relieved, sat down on a seat and leaned her head against the window. ° Nice and cool °, she thought and sighed.
She just felt exhausted and was happy to go to bed at home and -
There was the thought again. The sleepwalking. Would she do it again tonight?
As she was lost in thought, it seemed to her that she had only spent 5 minutes on the bus when she got off at the stop at the mall. She went in and found that it was almost empty. Most people sat in the pizzeria or in a small café. She quickly went shopping for the essentials and also got the desired color samples for her mother.
When she passed the small pizza place on the way back and only looked absently inside, she stopped dead.
Did she see right or was that just an imagination?
No, it wasn't my imagination. There sat Gaara ... and he shared a pizza with Tomoyo Hanasaki, the arrogant and arrogant girl in the whole school. The two sat holding hands and looked deep into each other's eyes.

Sakura was so shocked and surprised that she ran into the pizzeria by herself and went straight to their table. "Gaara!"
He and Tomoyo quickly withdrew our hands. "Sakura. I didn't even notice you came in," he said, still looking at Tomoyo.
"You were distracted from holding hands and you personally, weren't you?" Sakura asked, slightly irritated. "What?", both asked a bit perplexed." Hey, honey, "said Gaara, slightly nervous," I just showed her a coin trick ... "Sakura looked at him a little implausibly, but judging by his look and the look of Tomoyo, he seemed to be To tell the truth and when he showed her the coin that was finally in Tomoyo's left hand, Sakura believed him. Gaara and Tomoyo had met by chance and then went out to eat a pizza together.
° No more ... °, thought Sakura relieved, ° I overreacted ... And what should Gaara want from her? She is not his type and much too open for Gaara… °
She apologized to both of them and said she had to go home. She refused Gaara's offer to drive her and said he should call her later.
° Afterwards I will explain everything to him ... and tell him about the incident from last night ... °, Sakura said to himself and finally ran home.

-------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------After having dinner with her mother, Sakura told her about her sleepwalking. "Maybe I should lock you up at night," Kaori said, grinning slightly. "That's not a joke, Mom!", Sakura complained and looked at her mother seriously, "why do you always have to make a joke out of everything?" "I don't, Sakura. Stop judging me that way. Sleepwalking is nothing about you make jokes, it's serious business, but it happened to you once. Maybe it won't happen any more. Just relax, little one and don't worry, "her mother defended herself.
"But I ran out into the street! What if I hadn't woken up?"
"You woke up Sakura. And nothing happened. I am a nurse and have been for several years. Nobody has been admitted to us because he was injured while sleepwalking. So stop imagining what cruel things I know . ""Oh, I'm relieved now," Sakura said ironically.
"Sakura, listen to me," said her mother, putting her hand on her daughter's hand, "you never wandered around in your sleep, you never did anything unusual. You don't talk in your sleep either, so I'm pretty sure that it was a one-off. I can understand your worries, but you shouldn't get too involved in this.
However, we also have a trustworthy man in the hospital whom you can talk to if you have real problems with it. "
"You mean something like a shrink?" Asked Sakura. Her mother nodded. "Mom! I'm not going crazy!" Protested Sakura.
Her mother sighed. "Child, I didn't mean that either -" She was interrupted by the doorknob. "I'm going. Maybe it's Gaara," Sakura mumbled in a bad mood and went to the door to open it.
But it wasn't Gaara, but Sasuke's little sister: Yumi."Hey, how are you?" Yumi asked smiling. She had combed her black hair back and tied it in a ponytail. The light made her face look even paler than it already was. ° She looks really like Sasuke °, thought Sakura and let Yumi in.
