I run faster and faster through the dark night.
Like I'm on the run

On the run again, again just fleeing the pain and everything else.
As so often, fleeing from being hurt again.

Hot tears run down my cheeks, mingling with the rain that keeps pounding on me and my surroundings.
But I don't even feel it anymore.

I don't feel any pain, nothing at all.
As if I forgot how to feel in such a short time.
Was it all just a lie?

Over time I slow down and haven't felt my feet for a long time.I'm slowly becoming aware of my surroundings again, recognizing where I am.
And step by step I walk forward to the railing of the great bridge, feel the cold grille on my half-deaf fingers.
With the last of my strength I pull myself up on it, swing my legs over the railing.

And suddenly everything is forgotten.
Then only the moment counts, now.
To be free again at last.
