Konoha, yes, old Konoha. As soon as the sun was in the sky and cast its warm rays over Konoha, everyday life in Konoha began. The streets filled up in the morning and everyone was on their way: to training, to work or whatever else was waiting in the morning. The genins met and then set off for training together. The smaller ones, the children, were taken to the old ninja academy, where a long day was waiting for them. And the bigger ninjas among them ran quickly over the colorful rooftops of Konoha so as not to be late for training. If Kakashi would do that too ... maybe he wouldn't always besoomany hours too late.
But Naruto was walking the streets of Konoha. He didn't want to scurry across the rooftops. Not this time. Not today when the training was canceled. So he didn't have to be on time either.It was only Tsunade who had called him to come to her office.
But why actually? What had happened ... hmmm ... maybe Tsunade needed a new bottle of sake and was too lazy to get it himself ... oh no. That would have to be done by Shizune. There was another reason. Naruto just hoped it wasn't cheap news that wasn't worth waking up early. He picked up a gear. He was running late. Ok, not so late, he told himself, but he didn't feel like listening to the grumbling of the old, only young-looking woman.
He trotted quickly up the last steps. He went into the tower, turned and was almost in front of Tsunade's office.

Tsunade was sitting at her crowded desk. Sakura was sitting on one of the two chairs in front of the table. She turned to Naruto, smiled at him and greeted him warmly:"Hey, Naruto!"
Sai was there too. He was leaning against the wall and now watching Naruto.
Sai was new to it. He was, so to speak, a substitute for Sasuke. Well, a dissolution that probably had to stay a long time, right? ... who knows. He wasn't very different from Sasuke, only his looks were different. He was cold too. Yes, cold. But he couldn't outdo Sasuke.

Naruto went all the way in and closed the door behind him.
"Hey Sakura, hey Sai!" He greeted back. Then he finally looked at Tsunade. But he would have preferred to save himself the sight. Tsunade was seething with rage.
Naruto looked at her confused. What did they have?

"Yes, hello Naruto! Nice that you could come. And only 1 hour late!", She shouted so that Naruto turned pale. Sakura gave Tsunade a startled look. What did she have?Sai just listened. His eyes were still on the floor.
"Calm down, Tsunade, otherwise there will be wrinkles! It is surely nothing that important what you wanted to tell us. An hour ... please. Kakashi will be comingmuchlater!" Blond boy. He walked towards the chair and sat down on the empty chair next to Sakura.
Sakura herself had to giggle. And a small grin formed on Sai's lips as well.
Tsunade stared at him until she reached out and grabbed herself again.
"You can save your jokes, yes! And Kakashi is of little interest to me right now! And one more thing ...-", she broke off at the point. Her expression turned serious.

Sakura was now looking seriously at her sensei.

Sai watched the two of them and noticed how their expressions changed quickly. As if they had seen ghosts. Sakura and the blonde next to her raised their heads, up to Tsunade.
"What is the letter supposed to mean?" Asked Naruto, horrified.
Sakura slowly placed the letter on the crowded desk.
Tsunade hesitated again.
"You read that right ...-", another pause until she continued monotonously:
"Oto-Gakure has declared war on Konoha-Gakure" and another pause.They all had to digest it first.
Sai looked up at Tsunade now and you could see his horror in his face.
"And why?" Asked Naruto after the break.
Tsunade finally turned back to the Chuu-nin in front of her.
"I don't know. But a hideous suspicion creeps up on me."
The same suspicion came to Sakura. Your thoughts shot straight to a person. She got goosebumps.
