This village opposed the eight-headed beast Orochi,
who threatened the people.

It was told of a brave she-wolf
who faced the mighty monster.

With the substance of excess,
she fought against the far too big opponent.

With the power of harmony
she won a victory
about the darkness.

Through this brave act of the she-wolf,
a new time of peace dawned.

The villagers of Kamiki,
built a shrine for the she-wolf,
to remember her
that their deed will not be forgotten,
