A surprise

Pact of the Elves Mimina-chan

Chapter one:

·A surprise

Lucy yawned and got used to the peace and quiet in the great outdoors after a hard day at school, because once again Lucy strolled through the countryside outside the village of Marikun. She was 15 years old and had long, blonde hair that reached her waist. Her cheeks were always bathed in a red sheen and yet her skin gleamed strangely golden. She was slim and had long legs. In short: She was every boy's absolute dream girl. She walked the path she took at least three times a day and had her bright blue eyes closed. Every step she took was accompanied by at least three butterflies. The bag Lucy had with her jingled to herself, because Lucy was always well equipped for a surprise.
in it were, for example, small paperbacks that showed plants and made them recognizable. Then she had a miniature specimen of Wilderness Survival, and last but not least, a pair of roots from a particular tree to enjoy. At the edges of the path, the most colorful flowers bloomed, the wonderfully scented and curved in the wind to her. The wind gently slipped through her hair and cooled her face in the hot evening sun that bathed the sky in a strong orange in the western part of the horizon. Many fields were in Lucy's left and right field of vision and in front of her was a bridge that was stretched over a small stream like a rainbow. Lucy crossed the bridge and listened to the splashing of the water as she passed. About 30 paces after her, she turned into a small side path. She looked at a ring that was stuck on her ring finger on her right hand. It reflected the sunlight and shone in all colors of the rainbow. Her mother said she had the ring with her when her father found it under a tree in the middle of the forest. As a very little baby she was discovered in the forest. Again she closed her eyes and thought. She heard the crickets sing a song that announced the night to her. Her thoughts reveled in all the beautiful experiences she had today. She woke up in a good mood today and went to school. With a good grade in math, she had surprised her mother today. She had proudly come into the kitchen with the trial work and held it under her mother's nose. Sarah, Lucy's little sister, who had her birthday today, was very happy about her present. Lucy had to smile. Sarah's face as she looked at her new doll clothes, which Lucy had bought with her pocket money, had been the best present today. "You are the best sister in the sooooo big world.", She had said with an enthusiastic laugh. A searing pain rose in Lucy's leg. She was barefoot and had stepped on a sharp stone. Only now did she realize that she was already at the big linden tree, where a few small cats lived. "Snowflake, peppermint, Mimi, where are you?" She called into a small root hole in the tree. Three pairs of eyes shone out of the darkness. Lucy backed away because the three always greeted her with a stormy jump in the stomach area.
Three little kittens were already hopping towards Lucy, one was snow-white, another was striped orange and the last one that came out was Lucy's favorite peppermint. Peppermint greeted Lucy with an elegant leap in her face, causing Lucy to lose her balance and fall. She laughed as the kittens sucked her nose with their rough tongue. As Lucy got up and brushed the dust off her clothes, she noticed that peppermint was forged on her legs and purred insistently. When Lucy saw her, she saw a black cat with white spots only on the eyes and snub nose."Are you accompanying me again today?"
The animals ran along the path as if to say:
"What are you waiting for, come on!"
"I'm coming on, I'm coming on, wait!"
Lucy had known these cats since first walking this route two months ago. There was also her mother, Tala, but here she was missing a week later.
So she went the way with some butterflies, three little cats and still with the sounds of nature around her. After she had moved about 100m from the large linden tree, she turned into the small town that she usually visited in the evening. A small waterfall and many trees could be seen at the far end of the horizon. In front of her was a meadow with thick scrub and wonderful flowers. The sunlight of the setting sun bathed the meadow in an orange-reddish tone and made a small rainbow shimmer over the waterfall.
Here Lucy could think and let her thoughts wander into her dream world.
Indistinct outlines of a green idyll could be seen. For some time she had been trying to find out more about the secrets of this land.
In the course of her life these pictures became more and more real, got a little clearer outlines that even a river could be seen.
In Lucy's family, besides Sarah, there was also her mother and father, Gabriela and Michael Niwa. They lived on the outskirts of the village and owned a small farm. So Lucy was used to all the animals that most people found disgusting. You could even say that she was friends with the spiders and caterpillars. Lucy didn't mind being a foundling as long as she was lucky enough to be able to live with such a family.
She looked happily at the wonderful landscape that surrounded her.
Everything was wonderful again today,. . . but different.
Something told Lucy that something extraordinary was going to happen today. It was like this,. . .as if the wind whispered a message in her ear. Everything seemed as it always was and yet Lucy suddenly felt uncomfortable in her skin. The wind blew Lucy's hair in her face, making her peer towards the waterfall. Something black drifted down on him. To Lucy it looked like a piece of wood and so after a few moments she turned back in the other direction without knowing that the black lump was going to change her life completely.
After about ten minutes it was almost dark, so Lucy thought it would be better to make the return journey. She called for the kittens and listened to see if they answered, but everything remained silent.
She called them another ten minutes and began to worry.
Without warning and at the speed of sound, peppermint suddenly shot out of one of the bushes. She was excited and kept hopping towards the waterfall. When Lucy took a step towards her, Peppermint ran without looking back in the direction of the rushing natural beauty, apparently in the firm belief that Lucy would follow her. It was almost dark and yet something in Lucy said that she should follow Peppermint. Despite the seemingly short path, Lucy walked to the waterfall for 10 minutes as always. Past the dark meadows and closed
As she carefully approached the waterfall, she noticed the piece of wood on the bank that she saw drifting down. She approached and leaned over him to find the other two cats. Suddenly the tree trunk stirred. Or was it something else? But what?
"Oh moon, lend me your light and shine on me," she begged, her eyes fixed on the sky to search him. Suddenly the moon emerged from the clouds and threw its light on you.
She fixed her eyes on the tree trunk again and was startled.
"Well, that is... A person.", It echoed again in the clearing.
