Chapter: rescue
Lily Evans ran through the school corridors, past angry paintings complaining about the disturbance and shouting curses after her. She ran so fast that she didn't even notice Nick, who was almost headless, and sprinted straight through him. An icy shiver came over her the moment their bodies touched and it was as if her stomach were contracting. But she didn't have time to think about it now! She had to get to Dumbledore and as soon as possible. She was there soon, just one more hallway and then she would be standing in front of the gargoyle! She didn't have time to worry about the possible consequences, all that mattered was the safety of her friends.
Suddenly she hit a massive obstacle: Professor Slughorn. He looked at her in amazement and shook his head. "Ms. Evans, what are you doing so late in this part of the castle? You should be in bed by now!" He grabbed her arm a bit and wanted to lead her into the common room, but Lily struggled with all her might. She fought against the teacher's grip until he finally had to give way and let go of her. “I have to go to Dumbledore, now!” She gasped, looking pleadingly at the Potions Master. "It's called Professor Dumbledore and you can do that tomorrow too. He's certainly already gone to bed!" Lily was on the verge of desperation, she had to get past this man and that immediately! He took her shoulder again and pulled her roughly towards the Gryffindor Tower. Lily took her chance and stepped on Slughorn's foot with all she could muster. He screamed outraged and wanted to confront her, but the young witch was too quick for him. She ran straight to the gargoyle and slipped down the secret passage into the principal's office, Slughorn you on her heels.
Nojiko looked around desperately, Voldemort had just returned and was now holding a book in his long, pale fingers. She hardly dared to ask what it was, because deep in her heart she already knew the answer. "You are right, she is. I looked for it for a long time and had to interview a lot of people." At the last few words an icy smile appeared on his face and his eyes sparkled dangerously. "You still haven't answered my question, Voldemort! How did the notes get into the Gryffindor Tower?" Secretly, Nojiko wondered why she was asking such a question! Had she gone mad? She watched intently his reaction and at the same time fought down the threatening panic. "One of the students helped me, Malia. You know her, a terribly vain girl ... However, she no longer remembers the little favors she did for me!"
He had put an Imperius curse on Malia and no one had noticed! The truth was like a slap in the face to Nojiko! She hadn't noticed it all year ... "You were, like I said, a much tougher nut. I appealed to your vanity, but that didn't help. Lucky me you're so curious ..." He didn't speak loud, but there was something in his tone more threatening than anything she had seen before. “And now you will help me!” He put the book, the source of wisdom, on a desk in the middle of the room and examined her from there. “I'd rather die!” She hissed back and she meant it honestly. Nojiko, no matter how scared she was, no matter how cold she was and how much she felt like crying, would never help Voldemort! “We can arrange that!” He raised his hand and the snake woke up. She meandered threateningly towards Nojiko, who was looking around in panic for an escape route, even if she knew there was none.
Sirius kicked one of the logs in frustration! They had been looking for ages but they hadn't found anything! Somewhere Nojiko was in great danger, he could feel that even if he couldn't establish a direct connection to her!It made him sick, he couldn't stand the idea of something happening to her! He had to save her, no matter how. Remus, who was looking to his right, had beads of sweat on his forehead and James tried to blink his tears back. For the two boys, Sunny was one of their best friends, almost a sister, and they didn't even want to imagine what was happening to her. Moony leaned exhausted against one of the bushes and felt the plant give way backwards. He saved himself with a leap forward and stared at the undergrowth for a moment, stunned. "Paw, crown! Here!" The two came running and together they bent the stubborn branches to one side. A dark corridor emerged that led deep into the earth. Without thinking, Sirius climbed inside ...
She literally sat like the rabbit in front of the queue! The animal came closer and closer, Nojiko had to do something! In the absence of a better plan, she transformed into a phoenix and swiftly floated past the snake, which hissed angrily and tried to snap at it. But Sunny was too fast for her and flew under the dangerous fangs, around the animal's head and landed next to the desk, behind which Voldemort was still standing. He raised his hand and the snake immediately fell asleep again. “Impressive, it's a shame that this is of no use to you!” He forced her to transform back with a spell, she was now standing directly in front of him and looked at him with fearful eyes. Voldemort opened the book and leafed through it. To Nojiko's surprise, all pages were white and blank!
"Professor Dumbledore, something really terrible has happened!" The last few events just gushed out of Lily as she entered the principal's office. He didn't interrupt her once and motioned to Slughorn, who came bursting into the middle of the student's story, to be quiet. As soon as Lily was finished, Dumbledore said in a husky voice: "Professor, Miss Evans is coming back to the dormitory in a moment. She will not get a penalty!" The teacher wanted to protest but he had no chance. “Don't worry, I'll take care of the others!” With that, Dumbledore rushed out, wand tightly in hand, and left the two of them in his office. The old wizard knew he didn't have much time if he was to save all of his students. That what he had feared for so long had actually happened and he had not been able to prevent it!
Nojiko looked blankly at Voldemort. "You have a rare gift, you can read this book. Well, go ahead and don't try to lie to me!" She was desperate, how was she going to do that? She had no idea what he was talking about and so she didn't budge. “Crucio.” Voldemort whispered softly and an incredible pain ran through Nojiko's body. She fell on her knees and screamed out loud! She had never seen anything like it! She had heard of the unforgivable curses but it was beyond imagination. She just wanted it to stop! Finally the pain subsided and she looked up at him. He had clearly enjoyed it, his wand still pointing at her. “I can repeat this forever and believe me, it would be my pleasure!” With trembling knees she stood up, suppressed the tears that welled up in her eyes and went to the desk. At a loss, she looked at the blank page when she heard a deafening bang!
Sirius crawled forward, his friends close behind. Everything around him was dark, he could feel the wet earth and the roots of the trees above him. Where would they come out? He didn't care, only one thought guided him: He had to go to Nojiko! Suddenly he felt the low gear rise, slowly at first, then steeper and steeper. Finally he was standing in a square room with no windows. There was only one door on the north side, made of solid steel or iron and heavily rusted. Behind him came first James and then Remus, both covered with dirt and mud from top to bottom and with scraped elbows, knees and hands like himself. The three looked at each other, then looked at the door and then nodded. “Bombada!” The steel gave way and burst with a loud bang!
"Nojiko!" It was Sirius, she had never been so happy to see him before and at the same time he wanted to send him away. It shouldn't happen to him, she couldn't bear that! Voldemort looked at the three boys and smiled coldly. “Nagini, a little dinner for you!” The snake approached the young wizards quickly and relentlessly, Nojiko wanted to help them but a hand gripped her arm. Her long fingernails dug into her flesh and an unnatural cold crept to her shoulder and on to her heart.
The snake was strong and could not be defeated by simple spells, as the three boys quickly discovered. She had her friends firmly in view, her tongue hissing out between her dangerous fangs and made the animal even more threatening. “What now?” James looked helplessly at the others, but they had no idea either! "We're breaking up! She can't follow us all at the same time!" With that Remus ran to the left while James and Sirius turned to the right and ran back into the room where the entrance was! Nagini followed the two of them, she kept snapping at them, but they could jump aside every time! But then it happened, the snake had pushed Sirius into a corner and loomed threateningly in front of him. She was about to bite, what should he do? His mind raced, adrenaline rushing through his veins. She took the fatal bite, he couldn't avoid it! Nagini snapped forward and bit as hard as she could - but her teeth smacked into space.A large dog squeezed past her immense body and ran across the room back to her master!
James crouched against the wall as Nagini slipped past him, he was saved for now! But not his friends yet. He stormed to the door through which the serpent's diamond-studded tail had just disappeared and saw something terrible! Sirius had been knocked to the ground by a Crucio curse but the real horror was still awaiting James! Moony, he ran away from the snake but it was catching up more and more! In a moment she had him ... The sharp fangs burrowed deep into the boy's left leg, who fell to the ground and cried out in agony. Blood ran on the stone floor, the wounds looked terrible! James ran to his friend to protect him and fired a few spells at the snake to distract it!
Nojiko couldn't help them, Voldemort kept his wand pointed at what she loved most in the world. He was going to
