Chapter 7
So here comes Chapter 7 ^ - ^
Claire finally learns the truth about Michael, and as soon as she has digested the realization that Michael is not what he seemed to be, she immediately meets another side of him ...
I wish you a lot of fun with the new chapter, and a big thank you to all of my hard-working comic writers!

Michael looked at me like that for a while longer.
"No, you're right, I'm not. I'm not a werewolf. I'm a vampire." He finally said straight out.
I blinked. "A vampire ..." I repeated slowly.
It wasn't that I didn't believe him, but somehow I didn't really want to understand it.
Finally my hand went slowly to my neck and unconsciously I stroked the neck where the main artery ran.
Michael smiled.
"Don't worry, I haven't had a drink from you," he assured me.
Only now did I notice what I was actually doing.
"Oh." I mumbled and let my hand drop again.
We just sat next to each other in silence for a while.
"Then ... so is that right about the sunlight?" I asked after a while, looking at him carefully.
Michael nodded.
"Yes, that's why I only wanted to travel at night. It's probably a good thing that you know it now. In the near future it would have been more difficult for me to keep it a secret from you."
I nodded, continued to look at him briefly before turning my gaze to the window.
I got up and hung a blanket in front of it so that the morning sunlight wouldn't fall in. Oddly enough, even though I'd heard the most gruesome stories about vampires and the like, I wasn't afraid.
"And that's why you never ate anything?" I asked again.
So much has been said about vampires and other characters, and I didn't know what was true and what wasn't.However, I never doubted that such beings existed.
Michael nodded again.
"Yes." He said again.
We were silent again for a while, suddenly Michael leaned forward and pushed the sleeve of my dress up.
"What has happened there?" he asked, pointing to the large scratch on my arm that had previously been hidden by the dress.
He looked worried, but it was just a scratch.
I blinked at him a little confused.
How did he notice that? He hadn't been able to see the arm and the tear in the dress, after all, before he had leaned forward, he had only seen my other side.
"Um ... I ... I scratched the grating up there." I said when I remembered after a moment. Michael looked deep into my eyes, his gaze bored into me.
I was about to ask him why I should lie when he looked away from me and looked in my pocket for another bandage.
"Well." He said while bandaging my arm.
"Thanks." I meant when he was done.
I pushed my sleeve back down.
I looked at Michael as he got up and walked to the prison cell door.
He didn’t put any weight on his right leg, and it looked like he was in pain.
I continued to look at him, but did not help him because I was afraid that this would offend his pride.
Just when we had just sat I hadn't noticed anything from him, he had been so normal that I almost forgot that he was hurt, but now he really looked pretty battered.
Michael was meanwhile at the corpse of the werewolf, he turned him around and sat there for a moment, it looked as if he was looking at something, but I couldn't see that because he was sitting in the way.
Finally Michael got up again, went back to our cell and closed the door.
When he suddenly just collapsed I jumped up and rushed to him and supported him.I carefully brought him to the mattress, on which he carefully sat down.
"Thank you ..." he said, leaning against the wall, his expression was perfectly normal, showing no signs of pain, but his breathing was heavy.
Even if you couldn't tell that he was in pain, the injuries must have hurt like hell.
I just hoped they wouldn't get infected too.
I sat down next to Michael again and also leaned against the wall, so we sat for a while, slowly I felt that I was getting tired, and before I knew it I was nodding off against Michael, even if I actually wanted to stay awake .
+ * + * + * +
I opened my eyes tiredly and looked directly into Michael's face.
I blinked in confusion, it was a moment before I realized my head was on his lap.
I found that it was quite cold, I was expecting a fever, but it was really freezing. He also seemed paler than before I fell asleep.
"Tomorrow." He greeted me with his soft voice, a slight smile flickered over his lips as he opened his eyes and looked at me with his extraordinary eyes.
"Tomorrow ..." I mumbled, still rather sleepy.
"How are you?" I asked, a little worried, as I sat up and rummaged in my bag for something to eat.
I was worried about him.
“According to the circumstances.” He just said and watched me pulling bread and water out of my pocket. I looked at Michael, but after a moment Michael closed his eyes again and leaned against the cave wall.
I turned to my breakfast, the rest of the bread and water I put back in my pocket when I had finished eating, but I also took out a blanket with which I carefully covered Michael, he seemed to be asleep again.
I eyed him worried, I really worried about him, but I didn't know if and how I could help him. Finally I got up quietly to at least take care of Nox.
I gave him some water from one of the water bottles and stroked him a little.
I looked at the window, in front of which the cloth was still hanging, but it seemed to be light outside.
I went back to Michael and sat down next to him, I leaned against the cave wall and just waited for Michael to wake up again.
The next time I looked at Michael, I found that he was already awake.
He noticed that I was looking at him and turned his head in my direction.
He looked at me in silence for a long time, but then his gaze wandered down and he looked at my neck. I looked at Michael, but his face was expressionless, I couldn't see what he was thinking or what he was up to, but I trusted him, after all, he hadn't done anything to me the whole time, on the contrary, he had even protected me.
Suddenly Michael averted his gaze and stood up.
He went to the other side of the cell and leaned against the wall there.
I looked at him with concern, but he didn't even look at me. After a moment he took off his cloak and shirt and put the two pieces of clothing aside. I was startled to see that the bandages around his chest were soaked with blood.
I got up and moistened a cloth with water and took new bandages out of my pocket, then I went to Michael who was just unwinding the old bandages.
When he was done I stood in front of him and carefully dabbed the wounds with the damp cloth.
Although I tried to hurt him as little as possible, he took a sharp breath or two when I accidentally pressed a little harder on one of the wounds.
It must have hurt so badly, and a little blood oozed from the largest of them.
This time I was paying more attention to what he looked like, but I kept cleaning the wounds as I did so.
Michael's shoulders were quite broad and even if he wasn't a muscle, you could tell that he was strong, especially his arms looked strong, no doubt from the handling of the sword. His upper body was almost white, too, his skin looked almost a little gray, but here you couldn't see any veins like on his wrists or temples, the veins were only visible on his neck.
I winced slightly and looked at Michael a little questioningly when his cold hand suddenly closed around my wrist.
He gently pulled me a little closer and I felt my heart pounding wildly.
His eyes glowed brightly, they were actually almost yellow, as he slowly bent down to me.
When I felt his soft but ice-cold lips on my neck, a cold shiver ran down my spine.
I felt my heart beating faster and harder, but not with fear.
I didn't defend myself, and even when I briefly felt a stabbing pain where Michael's lips were, I stood still.
I felt how he sucked the blood out of the wound, it didn't hurt, it wasn't even really uncomfortable.
But I felt myself getting a little dizzy.
Michael put his cold arms around me and held me tight, I heard him swallow at ever shorter intervals.
At first he drank slowly, now he drank quickly, and suddenly I was afraid that he would suck me up to the last drop.
I wanted to tell him to stop, but only a faint "Michael" came from my lips, then my eyes went black and I lost consciousness.
