Magic Memories
Ran sieht Rot
Sad birthday
At the beginning I would like to thank you for reading the FF. I'm really happy. About the chapter, it was really difficult for me to write this because it made me sad at some point.
Have fun while reading

Sad birthday
What's wrong with her? I don't understand them anymore. I really thought it had got better, but she is exactly the same again, sad and reserved, towards the others, as she was when she was new. What does she have today? Last night, she was so weird and wanted to be quiet late at night, Conan said to himself. He wasn't paying much attention in class, but he didn't need to either. He knew everything and could now concentrate on his classmate.
As always, Ai sat next to him, but something was wrong with her today.
The whole time she was writing something on her piece of paper, it had nothing to do with the class, Conan could see that. But he didn't see what it was, because Ai kept scribbling on it and tried to make everything illegible.
[i]I would like to know what she has and what is she drawing?, he asked himself now and tilted his head a little. Now he recognized an A and an M and there were numbers next to them. Only on closer inspection did he notice that it was 27 09 19 81.
What does that mean? A M 27 09 19 81. What is that all about and why is she writing it down and crossing it out over and over again?asked the little one.
Now he looked forward again and looked at the teacher, who had already noticed that not all students were following her lessons. Inwardly, Conan hoped that she wouldn't take it or say something. Being called up again for not following the lesson certainly wasn't great, especially because the detective boys never understood why he was doing it and was still one of the best.
And even if he concentrated a little more on the lesson, those strange letters and numbers on Ai's notes did not let him rest.He still wanted to know what these meant. Maybe it was code, but for what?
"Then work through the tasks that I just wrote for you on the board. If you don't know something or need help, get in touch," smiled Miss Kobayashi and looked at her class. They were really something special and always so quiet, at least quieter than the other classes.
"Yes," you only heard the students shout back.
Smiling, the teacher sat down on her seat and looked into the class. She wanted to be there immediately if someone needed help or if someone just wanted to know something. Her gaze fell on Conan, who kept glancing at Ai. It had been strange for her when, for the first time, he was looking at his neighbor. Miss Kobayashi hadn't been sure what this meant. Did Conan not know how to solve the problem?
Even on closer inspection, the teacher noticed that Ai was not at the point. She seemed unfocused and just wrote on the paper.
Does Ai have anything?, she asked herself and got up. Now she went up to the two children and stopped in front of Ai.
She still made it and was able to hide her notes that were not class-related in time.
"Ai, do you have something? Is something wrong?", Miss Kobayashi wanted to know and looked at the girl.
"Everything is fine with me, I just didn't sleep well and I think I'll get sick," replied Ai and played a small coughing fit. She was good at this and it had often helped her when she wanted to avoid school activities.
"Miss Kobayashi," Conan interjected, drawing the teacher's attention. "May I bring Ai home? If she gets sick, it's not a good thing that she is here and infects us others," said the little boy, a little exaggeratedly childlike."Yes, take her home," the teacher nodded in agreement. She was worried about her students and didn't want to feel bad and now that Ai was sick it was really best if she went home.
"Thank you," Conan smiled and grabbed his school bag. Then he also grabbed Ai's, who was still playing the sick woman.
Both children got up together and left the classroom. Genta, Ayumi and Mitsuhiko watched them go and started whispering.
"We can visit Ai afterwards and bring her a little present. My mom always says that sick people should be given something, then they'll be happier and more healthy again," whispered Mitsuhiko.
"Yes, we'll do that," nodded Genta. "We'd better buy her something to eat."
"But Genta, when you're sick, you eat a lot less, or do you feed when you're sick?" Ayumi wanted to know.
"When I'm sick, my mom gives me a lot of eel on rice, she says it sometimes even makes me healthy," grinned Genta. How much he loved eel on rice and when he was sick he got it. His parents just wanted to ensure that he would complain less and that he would feel better sooner.
"You can not be serious"
"Yes, it is," interjected the bigger one.
"Stop that, guys. What do we want to give Ai for?", Ayumi asked again after the conversation had developed in a completely different direction than she had planned at the beginning.
"We could buy her a book, she always likes to read and there is sure to be something that we would find for her," said Mitsuhiko. He wanted to score points with both Ai and Ayumi.
"Or we cook," suggested Genta.
"Can you forget your eel on rice? We'll buy her something," Mitsuhiko interjected.
"It's okay," sighed the other.
"It's enough ... we'll buy her a book, we won't do anything wrong with it and Ai will be happy," said Ayumi, smiling slightly."Please be quiet again," asked Miss Kobayashi, who had noticed that the three were starting a conversation.
"Yes," called Ayumi and Mitsuhiko.
"You don't have to accompany me home," said Ai, looking at Conan. She knew the boy knew she was just simulating.
"Oh no, it was boring anyway," Conan grinned. Every day at school had been boring, he'd had everything before and now he had to go through the same subject matter again. He didn't want that and any distraction had been good.
"Then you can do what you want. I'll come home alone," said the girl.
She didn't want Conan to go with her.
Not today.
Today, she just wanted to be alone, hide and wait for the day to end.
"What's wrong with you? Today you are, not yourself at all," Conan interjected and eyed her. "And what was that what you wrote on your slip of paper earlier. A M 27 09 19 81. Is that a code or does it have something to do with the APTX 4869?"
"No, definitely not," sighed the girl and looked at the floor. "That's not it, don't worry about it. Should I finally find an antidote, I'll tell you about it right away."
"You're hiding something from me," interjected the little one. Conan didn't trust the peace, he wanted to know what was going on now and what numbers and letters they were.
"Go home now, I'll do it too," said the girl and turned around. She was lucky that she had to go in a different direction than him.
As the girl turned around, Conan pinned a tracking device to her school bag. He knew she would find it, but as long as she had the bag on her back and wasn't really looking, it hadn't been a problem.
"I'll see you tomorrow," Conan called to her and went to the detective agency. Halfway through, he stopped and began to follow Ai.
She didn't notice it, but she didn't care today either. The only thing she didn't want was that everyone would follow her and everyone would have found out what day it was today.
She was lucky that the place she wanted to go was not far from Professor Agasa's house. Briefly she walked past this and then just straight out. She had to walk a while before she could stop. She didn't notice that Conan had followed her, but she could shake him off when she just kept walking and he no longer knew where she was going.
Where does she want to go?, Conan wondered, watching her go. She just went on like that and not home. Conan followed her, and just like Ai, went around the corner, but by then he had lost her too. The girl was just gone and he didn't know where she was. He pressed on the side of his glasses and a picture appeared and Ai was marked as a red dot. But then the picture was gone again and Shinichi had no idea why. "What's that supposed to be?" He muttered and sighed. Now he had only one option. He quickly ran to Agasa and rang the bell.
"Oh, Shinichi, I thought you wanted to go home today," said Agasa after opening the door. He had been amazed that he had now seen him here again.
"I'm sorry, I can't talk, I need the spare glasses, mine just gave up," he said and went inside. As he entered, he handed the glasses to the professor, who had to fix them again.
"Did you find the men in black?" Asked Agasa and followed him.
"No, it's about Haibara, she's so funny today and had scrawled numbers and letters on her notes and I just can't figure out what that means. I suppose it's a code, maybe even one for the antidote or for something else. Just I don't know what yet and I'm slowly having to find out. Or did she tell you what AM 27 09 19 81 should mean?"he asked.
"I'm sorry, I can't tell you what that means. She didn't mention anything to me that might be in this context," said Agasa and thought about it. "I don't think it's bad. You know her, she would never do anything that would harm you or anyone else," he interjected.
"That may be, but I still wouldn't be sure. You know what it can be like sometimes. It tries to protect us and then it is all the more dangerous. Remember the thing on the bus at the end she stayed inside and wanted to die, "said Conan and put on the spare glasses.
"I remember that all too well, but we made it anyway and she came out again. I'm thinking about buying her a dog, do you remember, at the time she was really happy when she saw Arthur and seen Doyle, "said Hiroshi thoughtfully.
"You think a dog would be the right thing? I don't know, maybe she doesn't want one either and if we are in danger at the moment, then a dog would not really be an advantage," said Conan and turned on his glasses. "Tell me what kind of book is this?" He asked and
