Shuichi Akais Life

Rye

Apart from such activities, I had no longer had any contact with the FBI, especially with Jodie Starling, my partner. It was weird, but I didn't even miss her, but it should have been different with her. She always waited anxiously for one of my messages and hoped for more than I would just give a brief summary of my assignments, but I didn't want to say more. My life in the organization had only recently started and I didn't want to get noticed that easily.
"Dai", Akemi called me. She had been to this headquarters again and not only wanted to visit her little sister, but me too.
"Akemi, what are you doing here?" I wanted to know from her.
"I thought I would visit her once," smiled the young woman. She really had some contacts with the organization, they were contacts that I used myself to achieve my own goal. Akemi had no idea about it though, that was better that way, so she could neither betray me nor ask me any questions.
"And I thought you wanted to see your sister here again," I replied. She had told me about her sister many times, but I hadn't seen her before, no matter how many times I tried to urge her to meet.
"That too, I'll go to her again later, but I thought I would look after you first," Akemi smiled at me.
"I thought so," I said to her. So far Akemi had only been here when she wanted to visit her sister.
"How are you here?" Asked the woman.
"Very well, so far I haven't had any problems here. Thank you for helping me a little with your contacts. This was the only way I was able to establish myself very quickly in the organization," I said. I really had to thank her, without her, I might still be at the bottom of the organization, but that way I always had a little rise."No, please don't thank me," Akemi asked. Suddenly she became a little sad and it became visibly recognizable that she was not happy that I was here. Then I had to think again that Akemi asked me at the beginning not to come into the organization, but I just had to do it.
"All right, I'll visit you here again soon," she replied and walked past me.
"Wait, do you have anything else to do tonight?" I asked spontaneously. I don't even know why, but I wanted it that way inside.
"Tonight I have nothing to do, we could meet in front of the 'Cheray' if you want," smiled Akemi. The Cheray had been one of the newly opened restaurants in town.
"Well, let's say around 7pm," I nodded and looked after her. It wasn't until later that I found out that Akemi was still meeting her sister in town. Then the two of us went on our way and had a nice evening together. We even started to talk to each other and not be so polite to each other. I slowly started to like Akemi, not just as someone who made me more influential in the organization, but as a good friend. I could talk to her often and she to me too. Sometimes I had the feeling that we could tell each other everything, no matter what happened, we even talked about our assignments, but I did not learn anything about why Akemi was now in the organization and what reasons she wanted to continue working with who had.

Very soon my ability to speak of myself stopped and I noticed that I was now being looked at more and more by all the other members of the organization. I didn't care, I wanted to move up even more, I owed it to myself and my job and I also wanted to blow the organization up in any case, but that only worked when I had a higher rank. How long would it be? These were questions that I kept asking myself and whose answers I didn't have.
"Dai, come here," Pisco ordered me. He went upstairs with me and stood next to the other members of the organization, I had no idea what that was supposed to be, maybe I had briefly had the feeling as if I had been blown. I had to stay calm, I couldn't let anyone show anything, the others shouldn't have the feeling that they had caught me doing it.
"What is it?" I wanted to know. I just stood there and didn't let the members scare me, no matter how stubborn they looked.
"There's a lot," Gin grinned at me. I just didn't like the way he looked at me. You just couldn't say what he thought and how he would act soon, but all I heard from him so far was that he was a good shot and an ice-cold murderer. "The boss heard a lot from you, especially about your skills. He's had a look at it all. You seem to be a very good shot and our boss likes that."
"And what should that tell me now?" I asked. I was a bit curious after all, especially when the boss of the organization thought a lot of me.
"The boss wants you to get bigger tasks now. That's why you finally get a code name with us," Pisco grinned at me.
"And that would be?" I wanted to know. I did not show anything in my behavior, nor did I show any movement in my facial expressions or gestures.
"As of today you will have the name Rye, it stands for rye whiskey. From now on you will work for us as a sniper, but also as a normal shooter and will now carry out assignments with your new partner," replied a slightly older woman. She had blonde hair that only went over her shoulder for a short time. I had heard of the woman before, she was an actress, even a very famous one, Sharon Vineyard. And now I realized that she was also a member of the organization. I was happy about my name, at least outwardly, but inwardly I showed no emotion about it. It was good that I finally had a code name and could thus be more infiltrated into the organization.
"Who is this?"
"That's vermouth, the boss's favorite," said Pisco. Even then, the woman was the boss's favorite and that would certainly not change anytime soon.
"Don't you want to know who you have to work with now?" Wermut asked me. From her behavior I noticed that she was starting to flirt with me in front of the others, but I didn't respond. She was a good actress and she didn't look bad either, but I wasn't interested in her at all.
"Sure, then tell me who I can work with now," I replied.
"Gin," said Vermouth.
I had to work with the guy of all people. How would that be? I kept thinking about that, I'd never worked with someone like Gin before, but the way it sounded, it shouldn't be bad at all. Gin had been a big deal in the organization and he had good contacts with the organization's boss. Inwardly I grinned, so I could find out everything about the organization and maybe meet the boss of the organization myself. Everything seemed to be perfect and soon we could blow the organization.
"Woe to you causing me trouble," hissed Gin at me. His look didn't show me anything good. "When we work together there are rules. First of all, you don't drive my car, you don't touch it, and if you're in it, you don't wear the seat. And as for the assignments, I'll be there for everyone, to look at you and not let yourself do it all by yourself. As a sniper you will often work with me, did you understand everything, Rye?", Gin asked after he had explained his rules to me. He didn't have to think long about it, he must have memorized the rules with his car a long time before and could pray up and down everything that had to do with them without any problems. Gin's car had already been sacred to him and he didn't let anyone get near it, only he was allowed to do something with it. Just look, don't touch, that was Gin's motto when it came to his beloved Porsche.
"No problem, I'm already doing a good job," I interjected. The guy was really obsessed with his car, which is why he was the first to set up rules for his car. I couldn't believe it, but I had seen the black Porsche outside many times. He didn't look bad and he was still an old model, one that could not be found that quickly. I could already understand why gin was too important to his car and if it were mine, maybe I would have acted that way too. "Maybe I should buy a car myself, then you don't have to worry about yours," I suggested as a suggestion.
"Wait for the first time, I'll tell the boss, then you'll find out more," replied Gin. The car purchase apparently only went through the boss of the organization, why I couldn't think of that, maybe because of models that were older.
"For sure," I nodded in agreement.
"When will he have the first assignment with you?" Asked the blonde woman Gin.
"Only in two days, I still have a lot to do and have to prepare a lot, but after that I'll include him in everything, don't worry about that, Vermouth," grinned Gin confidently.
"I'm not worried about that, I just wanted to know when Rye will start working with you," grinned Wermut.
"If it won't be in two days, then you can excuse me. I still have something to do," I replied and looked at everyone else. Some, like vermouth, were shocked that I still had something to do, but there was nothing they could do about it.I had my own mind and wouldn't wait until the others had something for me. "Or who has something against it?"
"Do what you want. It's your business after all," Gin replied. In fact, I think he was glad I didn't want to stick to him like a burdock. So it was not only easier for him, but also for me. After he told me that, I just went outside, had to make a phone call, and instead of calling the FBI right away, I called Akemi first. I wanted to tell her about the new message and wait for her behavior, it was exactly as I expected. She wasn't happy, but that was understandable to me, her behavior was anything but being loyal to the organization. I hadn't found out why at the time.
Only after we arranged another meeting did I report my progress to the FBI, although, contrary to what was planned, I should continue to work for the organization first. They should have full confidence in me so that we could then ambush them to the reserves. I agreed and didn't question my boss’s plans for a number of reasons. I enjoyed working undercover and catching the bad guys, but it was even more fun to see them trust me and run into their end. Everything had been well thought out and no
