Chapter: Fresh wind? 1

First cap is here!

"Don't worry Dinah! You're sure to like it."
"May be Mrs. Ralfs."
"It sure will. They have a lot of experience with girls like you."
"What does that mean?"
"They will take good care of you. Better than your parents."
"Of course Mrs. Ralfs."
"But girl ..." The elderly woman shook her head and pulled Dinah after her towards a large house. It was made of white stone from top to bottom and the people who worked here as window cleaners were really to be pitied: They were probably long working days.
She was about to ring the doorbell when the door was thrown open.
"Hello," a black-haired little girl greeted her with enthusiasm and asked her into the house with a gesture. "Just put your coats on the cloakroom! Terrible weather, I know ..." she babbled to herself.
Suddenly a tall man stepped out from under an archway.
"Well Kate, are you going to receive our guests again?" He rebuked with a good-natured, mocking twinkle in his eyes.
"Sorry," the girl grumbled, but she was still beaming like a honey cake horse, which made that a bit implausible.
"You'd better go up to your sister and keep her a little company! You can get to know Dinah later."
"Oh, but I would much rather-"
"NowKate!"
"All right..."
Dejected, the girl trotted up the wide stairs and turned right.
Laughing softly, the man looked after her.
"That was Kathy almost our first, but definitely our most insolent! Actually we have a housemaid who opens the door, but where is she anyway? Magdalene!"
Nothing happened for a few seconds, but then a surprisingly young, nervous looking girl rushed into the room. "Sir, yes sir, sorry sir"
"Magdalene is new, you should know. She hasn't got used to everything yet, but she's only a temporary worker anyway.
We gave Amanda an early vacation. "Dinah just nodded and looked around the large room.
"Give the girl your jacket, Dinah," ordered Mrs. Ralfs and she obeyed.

At that moment, a graceful, silver-haired person was sitting on the upper floor in a darkened room, drawing in front of him. Next to her paper was a narrow, dark red candle the same color as her eyes. Its pale light was lost after less than a meter.
Suddenly someone burst into the room. "Yuri, Yuri, the new girl is here.
Sayuri waved her over and Kate leaned over the table to take a look at the picture.
"Oh Yuri, this is beautiful! Who is that?"
The silver-haired woman nodded towards the door.
"The new one? But it looks completely different. How do you come up with that?"
The fourteen-year-old shook her head, but could not be drawn out of what she meant.

"What do you mean Nami? What will that girl be like?"
Kaname turned his head but didn't look directly at her. "Blue-haired."
Synia looked at her in amazement. "Blue-haired? Why is that?"
"We haven't had a blue-haired sister yet."
"You're right, good idea", she laughed loosely and then fell into silence again until she called: "When are we finally there? Chris, how far is it? I'm curious!"
