What if nobody misses me

Chapter 6
What if nobody misses me

Sakura woke up again in the dark cell, her ankles were handcuffed. Her body felt wrong, like it didn't belong to her. As if from afar, she felt the pain of the torture she was given for fun. Slowly she seemed to remember her body because the pain was getting stronger and clearer, and her slightly veiled gaze also worsened.
Her body writhed with convulsions of an indefinite nature and her heart grew heavy, the loneliness was overwhelming. She realized that no one would miss her. Gaara would think she had escaped just like the rest of the village. Tears stole into her eyes and threatened to run down her cheek. Her eyes sparkled like crystals in the weak moonlight, which through the small window much. She wanted to scream all her displeasure out of herself, but she didn't dare to be punished for fear. But what did she care if she would just die, so that the agony of life and the burden of being would be taken from her shoulders.
But that would not happen any more than that she would be saved. Nobody cared what happened to her, even her so-called friends had let her down in the face of a lousy bet. Why did all this happen to her? She didn't want anything else but to live in peace like everyone else. Just then her thoughts were interrupted by the rattle of a key that was turned in the lock.
The same man stepped in as the day before, only that he was holding something in his hand. Sakura wondered what it was when he stepped closer to her, revealing a mysterious souvenir.
It was a long leather whip that he held tightly.
He grabbed her wrists and pulled her up until she was standing upright, then tied her by the wrists and tore the top off her body.He took a few steps back and took a swing.
Sakura screamed at the top of her throat when the blow hit her. Even when he was only half unconscious in the chains, he continued to beat her, immeasurably and without a break. The blood ran down her back and dripped to the floor. Until she finally drifted into the saving darkness of impotence.
He loosened the handcuffs on her wrists and she sagged and crouched on the floor. Powerless and broken, there seemed to be nothing left of the old Sakura, nothing that gave her hope. Even when she woke up there was nothing, no protesting or screaming for help, even her eyes were empty. Glassy from the pain that added to her soul, she seemed broken, lost forever, trapped in her nightmare for ever.
No star that shined for you, no friend waiting for you, no home, no affection and, above all, no love felt for you.
Her life seemed to be ended unreal and wrong, but she unconsciously continued to fight, without realizing it, she did not let herself die, as if there was still hope for her after all.
The tears ran down her cheeks in silence and formed a small clear puddle on the cell floor. Behind her eyes in the world of her fantasy, like in the cinema, her previous life was played out. As a 12 year old she was overjoyed to be in the same team with Sasuke, she and she tried everything to keep him from leaving Konoha, the loss and the realization that she had never loved him but only adored him. You are happy to be able to do an apprenticeship with Tsunade and finally to be needed. But all that seemed to pale in view of what she was experiencing now. Long after the man had left the cell, her eyes widened and she sat up abruptly. Her clouded eyes seemed to clear. But she remained in this position, as if in a trance. The guards who looked into her cell believed she was dead at first. But if you look at it for a longer period of time, you often have to lift and lower your chest. Silver a lot of the light on you and made you look like a ghost. Some of the people who saw them were startled, only to take a deep breath. They ignored them most of the time, their guards had made it their duty to torture them even more by being mistreated in the worst possible way. But Sakura didn't seem to notice anything, she was silent. You never heard a loud complaint from her or any other kind of protest. She endured everything in the hope of dying. So that it is over, but even this thought soon died and nothing seemed to rule in her head except absolute emptiness. Even her unconscious hope was dead, not seeming to keep her alive except for her tormentors.
Gaara wondered what had happened, if she had really run away or if she was kidnapped. He decided to do everything to search Suna Gakure just to find a clue of what had really happened. But before that he had so many other things to do.
He had to inform Konoha even though they didn't care anymore, but he had the feeling that they could know something crucial. He really couldn't believe she had run away, even if she hated him. She just wasn't the type for it. Or was he so mistaken about her. His heart contracted at the thought and he threatened to suffocate. Had she become so important to him in the last few weeks, he couldn't and wouldn't believe it. He tried to convince himself that he was only worried about a fellow citizen. But his face belied his words. He pushed the thought aside and went into the meeting room, today should be clarified whether there was something conspiratorial about Sakura's disappearance. He himself would vouch for the opposite and collect the whole fine if he was wrong.
He entered the room in which Sakura's fate, as far as she still had anything else, was to be decided.A queasy feeling made itself in Gaara's stomach, as if something was wrong. When the truth was within reach, only that he couldn't grasp it. Nobody suspected anything of Gaara's inner restlessness, which he wore on the outside his usual cold mask.
He'd had enough time to perfect the feeling of being under pressure. But that didn't matter now, he would be able to think about it later. Now he had to focus his full concentration on what was happening in the meeting. He listened to the old people in their rebellion and tried not to freak out himself when the words about Sakura got too bad. He could no longer deny that she meant something. Then all of a sudden one of the council members suggested that they should be hunted just to protect the village. If she were a spy, she wouldn't be one, it couldn't hurt, after all, she didn't belong in Suna. Gaara could no longer hold himself up, he jumped up and flashed the council member coldly so that he suddenly fell silent. Even began to tremble and didn't dare to say anything, let alone finish his sentence. Gaara looked at each one as if he wanted to read their minds to find out what was going on. Then his gaze stopped on the cheeky member.
“You know what happened to her, don't you!” Gaara asked softly, her voice tight. The man turned white in the face and averted his gaze in the hope that Gaara hadn't noticed it, but it was too late for that. Gaara was with the man within a few seconds and tossed him into the air. The man hit the floor hard and groaned in pain.
Gaara went up to him and pulled him up. Then he pressed it against the wall.
"Where is she? What did you do with her?" He hissed softly in his ear, increasing the pressure against the wall. Until the man gasped for breath and the veins in his eyeballs began to burst."B ... bit ... please I ... get ... can't breathe." Stammered the man with great difficulty. He threatens to faint when Gaara finally let him sink.
