A fallen angel

I am a fallen angel
Without wings, bleeding and whimpering on the ground.
I call out for help
but no words come out of my mouth.
Black tears run down my face
but you do not see them.
The mask that I put on is too big
too much fear of further pain.
Black feathers are scattered around me.
My wings
torn from the painful events,
that tear my life apart
Does anyone believe in me?
Does anyone hear my silent words?
Is anyone able
to relieve my pain?
Don't just walk past me.
I've been left alone too often
too often overwhelmed with pain.
What else am I held by?
Is anyone willing to share my pain?
Is someone there,
who smashes my mask
and takes me as I am underneath?
I am not sure anymore.
What is still right?
I have become the plaything of life.
I am a fallen angel
Hinata put down the pen and folded the sheet of paper she had written on. She hoped that someone who would read the letter would understand. Silently she tied the letter to a balloon and let her sadness soar into the sky.
