The last thing I felt was freezing cold, it was all around me and took away the strength to move. I tried to open my eyes, but they wouldn't obey me. If only this stupid cold weren't there, that would make a lot more pleasant. So I lay motionless on the icy ground, if I could still feel this damn cold, I couldn't possibly be dead, but something was strange, just what? Then it came over me as suddenly as the frost that still surrounded me. I must have stepped out of my body by now because I saw myself lying trembling on the stone floor. I didn't want to die or had I already died? Impossible I had to find a way back into my body. But just how could I do it? There had to be a way, I was convinced of that. I paced restlessly up and down. I hardly noticed my surroundings, my gaze was focused on the floor while my thoughts raced. Suddenly I felt two strong hands shaking me. I sniffed in the icy air that I hadn't taken in for a while. The hands were still clutching my arms, I looked up, panting to complain about the pain the iron grip was causing, and looked straight into the most wonderful blue eyes I had ever seen. It took my breath away, I swallowed twice and then said “Thank you.” The boy helped me to my feet and replied, “Oh no, don't worry.” I looked down in embarrassment, shocked to see that two butterfly wings were on my body had grown. I looked up at my rescuer, startled, but he just smiled calmly and said "yes, that's normal, everyone who goes into this between world transforms into the animal that he is deep inside." I couldn't get a word out of my lips, the only thing I was able to do was stare at him.He had those deep blue eyes that were so easy to sink into. I shook myself out of my daydream and looked at the floor again. My new sight took a lot of getting used to.

A hint of a smile crossed his face while he looked at me and finally stopped at my butterfly wings. "Thank you and I'm Seraphine Alaïs Toulouse." I introduced myself to him and took the pastille he held out to me.
