It was one of those days when you were just bored. After doing everything at home, I wanted to meet up with my friends to go on vacation. We wanted to go to England by ship. When we arrived at the port after hours of driving, we immediately ran to our ship, otherwise we would have missed it. Out of breath we arrived in our room and put our bags down first. In a good mood we went on deck to enjoy the air. "Hey, shouldn't we be there long ago?" I asked Nina and Judith after hours, as it seemed to me. "You're right Chris", Nina agreed with me. Suddenly a man came up to us and said that we had put our bags in the wrong room, so I went downstairs and got the bags. I noticed that there was a large puddle of water on the floor and thought I should tell the people from the ship when a voice shouted through the loudspeakers: "This is an important announcement to all passengers. There is a leak in the ship! Me repeat there is a leak in the ship! We ask all passengers to go up on deck and ask for silence! " I stood in the hallway in shock and now I knew where this puddle was coming from. 'We're sinking!' I thought and ran on deck. But unfortunately I also got lost below deck and noticed how more and more water was in the corridors. Finally I got on deck and had to realize with horror that the ship was already halfway in the water. Since I didn't know whether Nina and Judith were already in the water or still on the ship, I decided to run to the places where we were together last. But: nil, they weren't there !! Panic spread through me and I didn't know what to do. I was in a daze. But suddenly just one thought shot through my head: I have to get down here! I didn't care how high I was, I started running and jumped over the rail into the water and realized too late that I still had the bags on! I tried desperately to get the bags from falling off of me but I couldn't. I fell with them into the ice-cold water and was dragged into the depths. Every bone ached from falling in the water and I found it difficult to move. And the worst part was that I couldn't breathe. I tried hard to swim up, but I couldn't move an inch. My eyes slowly went black and I only noticed how two hands grabbed me and pulled me up.
