Fairytales

the chosen one

With a thud, I landed roughly on the floor.
"Outch ..." I moaned painfully and blinked.
The sun blinded me. I raised my right hand and held it protectively in front of my face. She gave me shade and so I timidly opened my eyes. All I could see was a clear blue sky where there really wasn't a single cloud to be seen. I pulled myself up to sit and looked around. Only forest, I landed in the middle of a clearing. Far and wide no house or a person to be seen. Far away from me was the thick book of magic. Where on earth have I been here? I struggled to get up and dusted my uniform. Then I went to the book and picked it up. It had suffered no damage from the impact. Unlike me ... I stroked my back, my face contorted. I will probably have something of that for a long time ...
But where the hell was I? I opened the book and flipped to the page where the spell was written that made me responsible for the whole mess. I looked for any helpful information, but to no avail. I closed it and took it in both hands. Pretty heavy part ...

I took a deep breath and then looked up again at the forest. There was no path or anything to be seen. There was only one thing left for me to do: "Cross-country ..." I mumbled and stepped into the thicket. The undergrowth cracked under my feet. I had no real plan as to where I was going now. At some point I would meet someone I thought ...
I wasn't afraid to walk through the forest, all alone. It wasn't dark. Everyone imagines a forest dark and creepy ... It was different here ... The sunlight penetrated from all the gaps. It was so nice. All sorts of trees and plants grew here. Butterflies danced in the sun and the birds chirped. Simply magical. Yes, it was really like a fairy tale. I was so fascinated by it all that I didn't even hear the loud rush of water.
It wasn't until something cracked very loudly in the forest that I became aware of it. The forest also gradually ended and the noise became increasingly louder. In front of me there was a green meadow full of flowers and behind it was a small lake that was placed in front of a cliff. A mighty waterfall flowed down from the cliff, so that's where the rushing came from ...
My eyes widened and I felt the corners of my mouth curl up. I carefully put the book down and stepped into the green grass of the meadow. I was still staring at the huge waterfall. I had never seen anything like it in my life. But then something else caught my eye. A white creature stood in the shallow water of the lake. From the many drops of water, his fur glistened in the sun. The sapphire blue eyes were fixed on me, the wings spread, the head bowed."I don't believe it ... a Pegasus."
There really was a Pegasus in front of me. How long did I long to see such a being. And now it really happened. It was still looking at me like it could look deep into my soul. I didn't know what it was, but somehow I felt deeply connected to him. His gaze faded and it whinnied at me softly. I winced slightly because I forgot everything around me again. It neighed again, this time louder, and took a step in my direction. Should i come to him? Now it looked at me again with the same expression as before. I swallowed and slowly came closer. I was so captivated by his gaze, almost hypnotized, that I no longer noticed my surroundings. At that moment it was just the two of us. I was now standing in front of the lake. We were only a few meters away from each other. I stepped into the water, our eyes united. When I touched the water, it suddenly shone in a bright, blue light. I broke our eye contact and looked down at my feet, startled. What happened? Was that me I looked up again at the Pegasus who was still looking at me with calm, soft eyes. Then I knew: everything was okay!
I went on like this until I stopped in front of him at a certain distance. It craned its neck to be closer to me. I reached out my hand carefully and finally touched his forehead. It was so incredibly soft and I felt very happy. The Pegasus closed its eyes and seemed to enjoy the touch. I will probably never forget this moment. A moment of connection!

"Did you feel it too, Master?"
A woman with long, purple hair was sitting in her armchair and looking out the window into the distance. Next to her is a white cat.
"Yes .... actually .... this power .... we have found our fairy."
"Do you think she is the right one?" Said the cat and looked at the woman questioningly and suspiciously at the same time.
"We'll find out soon ... I hope so ..."
"Shouldn't we send someone out to bring her? Others will have noticed this power too."
"No. That won't be necessary. Luvia and Rachel are around right now. I think they'll find them."
"if you say so ..."

A loud whistle sounded and the Pegasus hastily raised its head and listened.
"Cielo! Where are you again?" Someone called.
The Pegasus neighed loudly and trotted away from me.
"Hey! Wait!" I called and wanted to run after him, but I fool slipped and landed on my very best. That hurt! I closed my eyes and held my back, which was aching again.

I opened my eyes hesitantly. The sun was blinding, so I pinched it again right away. But then I heard an unknown noise. There were…. Wing beats ....? Yes. Wing beats that cut the wind apart. I held a protective hand over my eyes to look at the sky.And then I saw the Pegasus fly over me and someone seemed to be riding it. I stared after it for a long time until it disappeared completely into the clouds.
"Why does this always have to happen to me.", I carefully tortured myself up and my face twisted slightly in pain.
"Who knows when I'll meet someone here next time ...".
I took a few steps back to get the book. After all, it was responsible for this whole mess. I couldn't lose it!
I bent down to pick it up when I heard another noise in the bushes that I didn't recognize. I looked silently into the forest, trying not to move. What was that again now? I slowly picked up the book and then pressed it almost to my chest. A growl that went through my stomach and legs ended the silence. A cold shiver of fear ran down my spine. I unconsciously took more steps backwards. I wanted to escape what was waiting for me. But how? And what was it? I kept walking back and unfortunately I stepped on a small branch which then broke through with a crack.
Suddenly a huge creature jumped out of the forest and was now right in front of me. It was a dog, but no ... a dog looked different. He looked more like a wolf. It was pitch black and had red patterns in its fur. He was quite tall and well built. I had expected something worse, but now, when I saw this huge predator in front of me and it looked at me with evil eyes, I started to tremble. Why always me? I did not know, what I should do. I slowly went back further. The wolf growled, and with every step I took back, it came closer to me. I really didn't know what to do and now stopped dead. He continued his way towards me and started to jump! I saw him jumping one last time, then turned away from him and closed my eyes in panic. That's it!

…… ..I didn't feel anything. I didn't feel any pain. Am I dead yet? No. I listened and heard a growl. Oh no! It wasn't over yet! I dared a look and carefully opened one of my eyes. What was that?! Now I literally widened my eyes and stared at the thing in front of me. A dog? No. Why is everything so huge here? In front of me was ... a dog? No again ... a wolf. A big black wolf. However, he had his back to me. Did he want to protect me? I looked past him and in front of him stood the angry other wolf with the unusual patterns in the fur and the red eyes, who was now only angrier. The wolf growled in a deep voice that made me shudder again. His gaze was fixed on the enemy wolf and looked at him urgently. The red and black wolf fell silent and turned his back on us. Before disappearing into the forest, he turned one last time and looked at me.Then he padded back into the woods. I took a breath of relief. But I was still on the alert. What was waiting for me now? I looked at the wolf who didn't turn to me. He just turned his head to me and looked at me. His eyes were the color of an amber, warm and gentle. His eyes rested on my body. I saw no evil in them.
"Thanks." I said softly.
"You saved me."
I waited hopefully for a sign. Or maybe even an answer? I didn't know whether the animals here might also be able to speak. It would be possible. But he didn't answer. Still looking at me. I took a closer look at him now. He even seemed a little bigger than the other one. Its fur was coarse and long, its body muscular. I reached out a hand to touch him, but he shrank back and jumped to the side. Now I could see his entire head. A big head with those lovely eyes. He looked at me one more time and then disappeared too. He ran and was gone as quickly as he had come. Which I was very happy about. Without him it would have been over with me!
But what now? What's next for me? I didn't feel very comfortable all alone, but I didn't want to stay here either. I set out to look for someone or maybe to reach a village or a town. There seemed to be some kind of path along the lake. I went there to see it from there. The path seemed to be used often. Nor did it lead into the forest. So I decided to follow him. I would end up somewhere. At least I hoped so, because I wouldn't survive here long alone, as you had just seen. I trudged through the sand, always looking at the ground so as not to fall again. My back was feeling a little better, but that would change quickly with another fall!
'Oh ... I'm really hopeless ...' I thought.
The thick and heavy book made the path a lot more difficult for me. I would have loved to throw it away, but I couldn't do that. After all, it was the only way here and maybe the only way back. But did I even want to go back? Up until now I haven't met anyone and so far I've only gotten into
